When I arrived, Asked the receptionist if they accept my vision plan which is through Manhattan Life. She said that she wasn't familiar with this plan and would ask her colleague/supervisor, who told me "This is not South Asheville you'll have to pay us and Submit on your own", in a very arrogant tone. Wow, I guess I'll research closer to home. The only reason I visited this mill of an office was that a friend used them once and had a good experience. Perhaps with the doctor who has excellent credentials, but he should think about changing some of his staff. I've been in the medical field for 35 years and never experienced such arrogance.

I know I have tricky eyes with a difficult astigmatism that really drives my crazy, and he is very diligent making sure I get the right contacts. I was diagnosed with shingles and was afraid it was in my eye. I called Dr Ben's office and they got me in immediately, and let me tell you what I am SO THANKFUL. Dr Ben was the first of 4 dr's I saw in attempt to get it diagnosed and under control asap and he was by far the most knowledgeable about the whole situation. He gave me a crash course on what was happening and why, the layout of the nerves in my face, told me what to expect, gave me prescriptions, gave me advice, told me about over the counter remedies, and reassured me. I left his office feeling confident and prepared, and in addition to that when I realized the lever of care he had provided me after the other 3 drs gave me minimal info and brushed me off, I sat on the sofa and cried. I am so thankful I transferred here and I am so thankful to Dr Ben and his team for all they have done for me so far!

When I went to Walmart to get a price on contacts I handed the prescription to them & it was for glasses. It took over 45 min of continuous calling MyEyeDr to finally get them to fax it over to Walmart, their excuse why it took so long was that they were having trouble faxing it. What a lame excuse! I feel they intentionally did not give me the correct contact prescription & making me wait for it to be faxed for over 45 min was because they were angry I wasn't buying the contacts from them. Buyer beware they are more interested in money than they're interested in pleasing their customers! Walmart had WAY cheaper prices in contacts & glasses! I will not be going back to them next year for an eye exam.

I felt like a kid in the candy shop! I spoke with Daniele and she assisted me immediately with selecting several frames. I had a certain look and she helped me bring that dream to life! As a therapist, I had to get the "look" and I feel that was achieved. So, what's so special about this place is, they are family owned and they actually cut their own lenses...so what they means is, instead of waiting 2-3 weeks to get your frames, you can have them in about 2 days. I would have had them in 1 day but I was late to waking up and they close at 5pm. Otherwise, they are the quickest office I've ever been to and literally THE best! I paid out of pocket but it was the best because there aren't a lot of special places like this one. So I have to give credit where it is due!
