She said that she wasn't familiar with this plan and would ask her colleague/supervisor, who told me "This is not South Asheville you'll have to pay us and Submit on your own", in a very arrogant tone. Wow, I guess I'll research closer to home. The only reason I visited this mill of an office was that a friend used them once and had a good experience. Perhaps with the doctor who has excellent credentials, but he should think about changing some of his staff. I've been in the medical field for 35 years and never experienced such arrogance.

Well hello EYES!!!…read more Can I just say...I was in awe just from looking through the front window. The moment I noticed the optical shop, I had to stop through! I felt like a kid in the candy shop! I spoke with Daniele and she assisted me immediately with selecting several frames. I had a certain look and she helped me bring that dream to life! As a therapist, I had to get the "look" and I feel that was achieved. So, what's so special about this place is, they are family owned and they actually cut their own lenses...so what they means is, instead of waiting 2-3 weeks to get your frames, you can have them in about 2 days. I would have had them in 1 day but I was late to waking up and they close at 5pm. Otherwise, they are the quickest office I've ever been to and literally THE best! I paid out of pocket but it was the best because there aren't a lot of special places like this one. So I have to give credit where it is due! I walked in without an appointment, and was able to walk out less than 2 hours later with a new prescription, a new pair of glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses for under $500. The staff at the vision center and the attached Lenscrafters were very efficient and friendly. All of the equipment was very modern which made the whole process fast and painless. i was very satisfied overall. Probably a bit more expensive than going to Walmart, but well worth the extra!

I was greeted by Joel (been there for 10 yrs- a good sign) and I asked if he could realign my Oakley eyeglass frames which he did. I use this method to determine the quality of customer service. He impressed me so much that I went to the front counter where Melodie scheduled my eye appointment. At my eye exam appointment Christine (been there for 15 yrs-another good sign) completed the intake process with outstanding service. Dr. Kilgo was extremely through with my exam explaining everything and also impressed me with her professional expertise.

I got headaches from eyestrain trying to "get used to them," as they encouraged me to do. The optometrist insists the glasses are correct for my vision and that there's something wrong with my physical or mental health. The owner says she's never given a refund in 34 years and isn't going to now. It isn't true that they make the glasses on site. They contract the work from a lab that they say gives them one chance to make corrections.

Dr. Fuller also made it possible for me to order a pair of brown contacts by ordering clear ones and having them dyed by another professional. We went to the Asheville mall off Tunnel Road and they were able to look up my moms last purchase which was now discontinued. They did'nt have a lot of Tiffany brand frames as someone had recently walked in and stole all the expensive ones. They were able to help us with a currently made grand That's close to her old ones. My moms buying them somewhere else but having LensCrafters prepare and install them as they were about a hundred less than Walmarts $300 for lenses.
