When I arrived, Asked the receptionist if they accept my vision plan which is through Manhattan Life. Wow, I guess I'll research closer to home. The only reason I visited this mill of an office was that a friend used them once and had a good experience. When I went to Walmart to get a price on contacts I handed the prescription to them & it was for glasses. It took over 45 min of continuous calling MyEyeDr to finally get them to fax it over to Walmart, their excuse why it took so long was that they were having trouble faxing it. What a lame excuse! I feel they intentionally did not give me the correct contact prescription & making me wait for it to be faxed for over 45 min was because they were angry I wasn't buying the contacts from them. Buyer beware they are more interested in money than they're interested in pleasing their customers! Walmart had WAY cheaper prices in contacts & glasses! I will not be going back to them next year for an eye exam.

This time, they went way above and beyond to help me, even calling the warehouse to try to locate a pair of frames I wanted and other stores to have frames sent to them for me to try on. My two new pair of glasses and new lenses for my current frame are perfect right out of the box. I could not be happier, nor can I rave highly enough for the service and the attention I received.

A Review I'll Never Forget…read more I honestly don't know how to express my gratitude for Eyemart Express in Asheville. My son's glasses were destroyed in a horrible accident, and after everything he had already endured, including plastic surgery, I was overwhelmed trying to get him ready to start school. We first visited Stanton Optical, where I was told his prescription had changed dramatically and that something could be seriously wrong with his eyes. Terrified, I paid an additional $80 for an OCT scan, which thankfully came back normal. The appointment took nearly two hours, and I left feeling scared, confused and without clear answers. When we arrived at Eyemart Express on Saturday, we had only one hour before closing. I was emotionally exhausted and felt close to breaking down. Then we met frank and Jody. They were kind, patient and genuinely understanding. Jody took the time to review the paperwork from Stanton Optical and quickly realized that my son's prescription had not changed nearly as dramatically as I had been led to believe. She explained everything clearly, answered my questions and gave me the peace of mind I desperately needed. She also went above and beyond financially. Since I haven't been working while caring for my son, I was worried about the cost. His lenses are very thick, but jody helped us get thinner lenses, gave me a coupon and then told me his glasses were FREE. I was overwhelmed by their generosity. They treated us with kindness and dignity, never making me feel like a burden. Even though we arrived just an hour before closing, they finished his glasses the SAME DAY. Jody and Frank may have thought they were simply doing their jobs, but to us, they did so much more. They helped a scared, exhausted mom breathe again and gave me one less thing to worry about during one of the hardest times of our lives. I will not be returning to Stanton Optical, but Eyemart Express will absolutely have my business from now on. Thank you, Jody and frank, for your compassion, patience, generosity and kindness. You didn't just provide my son with glasses--you helped me feel like everything was going to be okay. If you're looking for an optical store in the Asheville area, I cannot recommend Eyemart Express enough. Jody and frank, you are truly wonderful people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I felt like a kid in the candy shop! I spoke with Daniele and she assisted me immediately with selecting several frames. I had a certain look and she helped me bring that dream to life! As a therapist, I had to get the "look" and I feel that was achieved. So, what's so special about this place is, they are family owned and they actually cut their own lenses...so what they means is, instead of waiting 2-3 weeks to get your frames, you can have them in about 2 days. I would have had them in 1 day but I was late to waking up and they close at 5pm. Otherwise, they are the quickest office I've ever been to and literally THE best! I paid out of pocket but it was the best because there aren't a lot of special places like this one. So I have to give credit where it is due! Thank you so much for your expertise and taking the time to provide excellent service! Until next time...cheers!
