I ran CIM this December and was looking for a cold plunge spot open on a Monday (most races are on Sundays) and this was one spot that was affordable and available so their cold plunge caught my eye. I booked the cold plunge for $20 and when I arrived the staff was so welcoming. The owner was there and asked if I needed coaching for cold plunge and I said yes. Her coaching and breathing exercises made this experience 10x better. I think I stayed in there for about 3 minutes. If you do the cold plunge definitely recommend you ask for coaching. The owner was so kind and even offered me a few minutes into the red light sauna. Can't wait to be back her again. read more

Honestly such a Sacramento gem! This place will challenge you the way no yoga place has. Infrared lights in sauna and inside yoga studio room. They specialize in hot yoga vinyasa. They do Some cool workshops. I will say the yoga room STINKS! Like BO... but I suppose it's understandable..? It also gets super crowded in some classes. Not all are hot yoga but most are. Trying out this yoga studio. So far I like it a lot! I tried several classes with different yoga teachers and I found two that are really good. I like my hot yoga classes hot and challenging, but if you like yoga more relaxing there are classes like that too. The vibe of the studio is young, progressive and open minded. Very welcoming. It has saunas, cold plunge and massages but I haven't tried any of it, so I can't comment. The only thing I don't like is getting to it through a traffic. Not a big fan of 50. read more

I had been looking for a yoga studio who has yin classes for some time. My friend recommended this place, and I absolutely love it! I need yin yoga because it forces me to stretch and relax. I exercise at another gym, but I am terrible when it comes to stretching, foam rolling, etc on my own. Going to a yin yoga class forces me to stretch with the goal of staying injury-free so I can be physically active for as long as possible. I have gone to the yin classes on Sunday and Tuesday evenings. Both instructors are fantastic. Also, both classes end with a sound bath which is an added bonus. Yin is a great opportunity to stretch your muscles and helps to reduce stress. I hope they don't ever get rid of these classes, because I definitely need it in my life. read more

Did the intro $44 for a month. Restorative class was not restorative. Yin yoga teacher does not know how to tell an interesting or poignant anecdote to save her life, just make a nice playlist. Slow flow was not remotely slow. I'm not very well studied in yoga, but I'm definitely not new to yoga. The minimal body shape diversity at this place should have tipped me off. I will not be maximizing my intro deal and coming back. Like other reviewers have noted, the cold plunge tanks and saunas are all in the lobby area and very public. The Space is amazing!!! By far the highest caliber teachers around. The vibe and community is unparalleled. Once you come once you will be hooked!!!! I just can't say enough positive stuff about this place. I have lost 35 Lbs by staying consistent and going almost everyday. It brings me serenity , happiness and clarity in a time when I really need it. I love the diversity and the fact there is no judgement. I had back surgery as well as a torn rotator cuff. As a result I can only do about 50% of the postures. The teachers don't judge and made me feel comfortable even though I was not doing everything. No matter what you do here there is acceptance and love!! I love this place!!! read more

I joined The Space in May 2023. I was more or less new to Yoga and couldn't have found a better, more helpful, and welcoming location to learn this incredibly enriching practice. I've tried a few other studios and have found The Space to fit my needs. The other attendees are generally better than me and I raise the average age of the class by about a year, but I can keep up as well as grow. I LOVE THE SPACE! I've been in (and out) of the yoga community for decades. I've experienced yoga studios all over the west coast. Now that I live in Sac, I've been to a few studios and I'm so happy to finally find my home in The Space. It's got that total vibe I crave- Love, strength, and community. The Space is very beautiful- lovely light and plants. The instructors are motivating and I LOVE that they have a support person that comes around and gives loving touches while in pose (you can opt out but I love it!). I also really appreciate the music that used- some easy modern rock, some classic rock, lots of typical yoga music. Also stoked that they host different events! OH! and from what I've noticed- they host a free class every week and their pricing is very competitive. No more searching for me- I found my yoga home :) read more

amina was there to greet us as we walked in the door at 5:45am, and introduced us to the space. beautiful space!!! great ashtanga led class with eddie. afterwards, amina coached us thru the cold plunge, guiding our breath and awareness while holding our toes out of the water. i stayed in that cold plunge longer than i ever have before thanks to her loving guidance and presence. then on to the infrared sauna to warm up!!! went to faria bakery nearby afterwards, to try the miso bread as recommended by eddie. what a great morning!!!! thank you!!!! i look forward to checking out more of the offerings and starting next sunday morning together again!!! the intro $44 for 4 weeks is a great way to check out the studio and offerings!!! read more

I absolutely love The Space. My Christmas Day class was filled with great energy and people. The owner was so kind, the instructor was clear and the flow a lot of fun, the other class attendees were full of energy and friendly. I highly recommend this studio. I have been practicing for 7 years in Roseville and I was so impressed (and a little sad that I can't practice here full time). I have been practicing yoga at various studios in Sacramento for the past 20 years. I found my home with The Space yoga studio. Not only do you feel warm and welcomed (and no clicky vibes,) but you feel like the most valued person in the studio. The owner, Amina, is so generous with all the little touches that wait for us when we walk out of the studio, anywhere from homemade hibiscus tea, to fresh fruit off the tree, to breakfast snacks....Sydney and others who help run the studio, makes sure there are plenty of classes added on and everything runs smooth. Oh and I need to mention there are special events held outside class time, such as hiking groups, and dance parties! Truly there is something for everyone. This isn't a studio that is just all business, it's a studio where people care and truly represent the purpose of yoga. I have never left a review for any type of workout place, but this studio deserves a five star rave for all the quality and care that's put into us yogis. There is more to The Space than just a place for yoga classes, there are a cold plunges, B 12 shot clinics on site, and room for opportunities for wellness to come....For The Space only to be evolving under the new owner in the past few months, this space is a special place to meet all your yoga and wellness needs that I have never experienced before in all my down dog years! Was very excited to finally sign up for an in person yoga class after a few years of staying away. The place is immaculate for the most part- I did encounter some dust balls in the yoga studio itself a couple times, but I tend to stay on the outer edge of the room, so maybe stuff just gets blown there. I was looking forward to trying cold plunge therapy, followed by an infrared sauna. I also liked their website and reviews. I signed up for a 30 day trial special. I had asked if the classes were crowded and it was a day I signed up for Slow Flow..I was told it wasn't "that bad" and that the power flow classes were more popular. I was a little concerned after that first class, maybe because I had not been in such close proximity to people in that setting? Or maybe the class really was kinda too close for comfort. I decided to stick with it and give it an honest try. I went five days in a row, and as the week progressed, the classes seemed to be more full. It really irked me that when a class was already getting quite filled, more yogis were allowed to come in- even after class had started. On my last day, a Friday, I missed the slow flow at 9:30, and decided to just do the power flow at noon. That was the busiest I had seen all week. I prefer to be by the wall so that I only have one person to the side of me, and I try to keep some good space in between myself and that person. It was PACKED. And then class began with a nice meditation/breathing exercise that I didn't get to participate in, because two more people came in late and were placed in front of and next to me and I needed to "make space" for them :( It was one of the most uncomfortable yoga classes (and situations) I have ever been in. I really was feeling I should just leave; however, I was in the furthest back corner of the room and honestly felt trapped..who knows- maybe it would have been a good test of balance to see if I could carry my stuff and tiptoe thru the little space I had to get to the door! But, alas, I stayed put, and ended up just sitting out many of the poses. Two days later I was the sickest I have been since before Covid even began. And, it was the most uncomfortable I've been since all of the shutdowns and precautionary times, and I have been to sporting events and casinos! I'm so sad about it. I was looking forward to progressing in my practice and having hands on adjustments and corrections(neither happened in my 5 day journey by the way). And I wasn't able to even try the cold plunge and sauna, which, it turns out, there is no privacy whatsoever- there are just two tubs right there in the lobby and a sauna with a big clear window everyone can see into(I get that that might be a safety measure, but surely there has to be a better way?) In my tour on the first day, someone mentioned they were going to do some remodeling soon, but I didn't get the details on what they will be changing. It is a beautiful "Space", where the people seemed pretty friendly, and I had such high hopes it would become my yoga home. Sadly, I will not be returning. If you don't mind "touching your (yogi)neighbor and just giving em a little tickle" if you do, maybe you won't mind the "intimacy" of the class. My third star is for the yoga instructors and the energy they bring to class. Wish I could stay :( Namaste read more

This studio has been a safe space for me ever since I first came and they make sure to tell me this every single time . They make sure to remind me that this is another home , and a space where I can safely let everything out .
