It's no secret that this is one of my favorite places to be when I'm not working or on a vacation. This is my happy hour after my 9-5 desk job, and it is a must whenever I go in the office. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this studio from the amazing teachers to the cold citrus towel. Started going to Doma studio a few weeks ago... fell in love. The instructors- Sam, Brian, Francina amazing. I'm sure everyone is but those are the only ones I've taken classes with. The vibe is true peace, genuine joy and the room is calming, beautiful, and very inviting. I think the pricing is really great. My favorite part is you put in all the hard work and then at the end you get to lay down and have a cold citrus towel. It's amazing!!!! The only drawback to everything in midtown is the no parking. I just completed my month doing the new student special, ($39 for 30 days) and have been consistently going 3-4 times a week. My first class was a pilates one. I haven't done pilates in like 5 years so it was a very humbling experience. The instructors are great! They really focused on form which I appreciate. I do feel like I'm getting stronger and have more energy! What I like about the studio is that they offer a variety of classes from hot vinyasa yoga to pilates to power sculpt. I've tried all the classes except the core 45. At the end of the session they always hand out cool citrus towels to put on your face or to clean your mat. What a nice bonus! This is a clean modern studio with cute decor and great friendly vibes. There's two accessible bathrooms in the studio. There's always street parking available although you might have to park 1-2 blocks away. In terms of pricing they offer 10 class pass for $160 or $16/class which is reasonable for the classes they offer. Will definitely keep coming back! read more

I was looking for a heated yoga studio for months when I first moved to Sacramento and I'm so happy I found Doma! The instructors I've taken classes from have all been very knowledgeable and friendly, and the studio has a welcoming and relaxing vibe. I love that the classes feel challenging but everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace so it's not too intimidating, and I also appreciate that there are Pilates classes offered as well and different fun events, trainings, and themed classes offered throughout the month. I attended a Bumble BFF yoga sesh here and had a really great time. The owner (I forgot her name) was really sweet and accommodating and her studio had cute touches like an ivy wall in the main room as well as rolled wash clothes (like a hotel, very chic!) in the bathroom instead of paper towels. Although the space isn't large, there was plenty of room to accommodate all the girls that showed up without getting an eye poked out during a warrior pose or a butt in your face during a downward dog. Parking is the only reason for four stars... there isn't a designated lot, I had to stalk the neighborhood for a spot and it wasn't easy locating one. I almost said "namaste in my car and go back home" but finally found one a few blocks away. read more

It's been nine years since I did yoga. I researched and looked around for a yoga studio. Luckily, it's close to my home. My first time doing a session was excellent! I feel rejuvenated and refreshed after each session. The instructor, Kata, is highly skilled and knowledgeable, guiding us through each pose with ease. The atmosphere in the studio is serene and calming, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the practice. I can already feel the positive impact yoga is having on my physical and mental well-being. Best studio. Best instructors. DOMA has changed my life. Been going regularly (3-5 times a week) for almost a year and staring to hone in on my own practice to the point where I feel like I can create a flow for myself at home or traveling without an instructor/video guiding me...BUT of course it's always better with a DOMA instructor guiding and cheering me on! Plus the challenge I get from DOMA sculpt and Pilates cannot be replicated at home! I LOVE DOMA and all the classes they offer. Honestly, I just can't say enough good things about DOMA. I love this place! I recently took a heated vinyasa class with Sam and loved his instruction style and flow. I'm visiting from out of town, but was quickly welcomed and made to feel at home in the space. Also, the studio is nice and warm...and so clean! The class was perfect for all levels -- both challenging for advanced yogis but adaptable for beginners too. I visit Sac every few months and am looking forward to my next class here. Taking a group exercise class can be very intimidating. Trust me, I've been saying, "I'll go next time" to my friends for over a year. But finally I caved and decided to go check out this popular Heated Pilates class. I went to the 5:15pm class that was hosted by Ashley. First of all, this was much more a body strength training class/HIIT than it was Pilates. I thought it was going to be chill but it was HARD WORK. Being my first time, I took plenty of breaks and I listened to my body on when to stop, even though the class kept going. There was no shame or embarrassment, people were just in their own little world going at their own pace. Some people modified the workout to their speed/agility. Ashley was very motivational and made sure to casually check in and make sure I was alright while I was resting, but she didn't draw attention to it or make me feel like there was any kind of spotlight on me. Leaving the class, I knew I wanted to do it again and do it better! So emailed the studio and signed up for a month deal ($30 for 30-days). I cannot recommend this enough. Please go check out one of their classes. If you hate it, you can take that up with me (but you won't). read more

Words can't express how happy I am that this studio is here! I'm from out of state and work regularly in Sacramento throughout the year. I stay across the street at the Holiday Inn Express on 16th, and Doma is VERY conveniently located at a 2 minute walk from my hotel. I've tried a couple other studios in the area, and they were fine, but nothing matches the experience I had today at Doma! I signed up for the noon Heated Yoga Strength class (first class is free, and your first mat rental is free too! Otherwise mat rentals are $2), and it was an absolutely amazing workout that challenged me without the poses being too complex or crazy. It's a combo of flow mixed with reps using hand weights (4, 6, or 8lbs), and trust me...it's an absolute full body workout that gets you sweaty and swole, haha! The atmosphere is peaceful, the studio is organized and clean, and the vibe is incredibly inviting! A nice little touch that I appreciated was that during shavasana, we were brought chilled hand towels infused with bergamot! I plopped it on my face and enjoyed the coolness while breathing in the soothing fragrance. I highly recommend popping by for a class! I signed up for their intro offer of 30 days for $30, and I plan to get a package of classes after that for the other times I'm back in Sac for work. Kata is fantastic, and I'm excited to come back for another wonderful workout! read more

Doma is such a great new addition to the yoga scene in Sacramento! The space is beautiful and the location is super convenient. The owner Katlyn is both kind and passionate about what she does - a real yogi. I took her hot Pilates class the other day and found it challenging and fun (I was definitely sore after)! I love hot yoga and am excited that this studio has a variety of classes - really something for everyone. It's a place to de-stress and get the issues out of your tissues. This is a lovely studio that offers a variety of classes with different styles. The studio is simple, clean, and welcoming. They have pilates, vinyasa yoga, Bikram style yoga, and yoga with weights. I've tried all of the classes except for the pilates; they are totally different and I love them all. Kata and Brain and both excellent teachers. Kata is great at explaining each posture and breaking down each body movement with in the posture. I also really appreciate how she designs each vinyasa class to slowly open the body, so that by the end of class you really feel open with out feeling overstretched. She doesn't rush it or begin class with intense postures that your body isn't ready for. She encourages you to push your limits with out overdoing it. I also really like that there is a mirror in this studio - I've been able to work on my alignment more because I can correct myself. Oh and I love the cold citrus towels they pass out after each class! There is no store with swag/merch, which I can appreciate, after all I'm here for yoga not to shop! I've been to a lot of studios in Sacramento and Doma offers something fresh and different. If you're looking to try something new, I highly recommend trying Doma! read more

Doma is an amazing new studio, I'm so picky and I love it. The classes aren't over packed and there's a variety of class types that you don't typically see, including yoga with weights and hot pilates, and the schedule for the new year has a lot more time options. The room is hot in the right ways, enough to make you sweat but not kill you. Steamers and humidifiers throughout and the best part is the chilled citrus towel for your face at the end. Long warm ups, unlimited shavasana, and the teachers are knowledgeable and sweet as heck. read more
