Ultimate relaxation! As a first time floater, I didn't really know what to expect, but they made me feel very comfortable. You will have a private room to shower and change, before entering your private tiled room (not a tiny pod like other facilities have that might induce claustrophobia!) The water is warm and has heavy salt content (hence the float!) You directly control the light and sound levels, and can even try deprivation (no sound or light). The sessions are 1 hour, which was a bit longer than I needed. But I really enjoyed the session overall, and was shocked at how relaxed my body and mind were for hours after my float. I'll definitely be back again! They also offer a sauna and cold plunge, massage, and a somadome (meditation pod). And they have a great relaxation area for before and after your sessions.

As a Christmas present last year, my dad purchased a float and a sauna experience for both my husband and I. It took us almost a year to get around to actually booking it and using it but once we did, we were kicking ourselves for waiting so long. As part of our celebratory anniversary weekend, my husband and I came on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy our infrared sauna and float experience. We were able to enjoy the sauna together, as it can fit two people. We started with the sauna, and then made our way over to our individual float tanks. I thoroughly enjoyed how the staff explained the entire process and how clean and modern the facility was. The float experience was definitely something else, but I absolutely loved it. 60 minutes of complete silence to meditate was intense, but definitely something I would do again. They give you the option to listen to a soundtrack as well as choosing a colored light. I actually ended up turning off my light and my music because I wanted total deprivation. It is a bit pricey, but they do offer packages and other incentives. I will definitely be back to give this a try again as I slept phenomenal and felt completely relaxed after the experience.

As a bucket list item, Capitol Floats delivered! Quiet and calm, helpful and thoughtful staff. Very interesting experience. Pros: Clean, everything you need is there. Post/pre float space is great for centering yourself. It feels like someplace you've been before, comfortable, it's hard to explain Cons: None As my first float, this won't be my final one. Didn't see colors or things like that. More so was able to just exist for a moment. Ended up stretching and cracking every bone while floating, doing faux yoga poses in the water. Very much my vibe. Music: cosmic ohm Light: navy blue I did toggle both of those on/off through the float I will say, the drumming music that plays at the end of the float was awesome. I wish I could've had that all the way through. Found myself dancing as I got out. Be careful, the tank and floor after the tank are slippery. Take it slooooowwww and enjoy.

Just wanted to remind everyone how greater Capital Floats is. My experience here is so amazing. Each float keeps my stress level down and I swear by the healing properties of a good Epsom Salt float.. Love love love!

I highly recommend capitol floats. My husband and I did the infared sauna first. You are able to control the temperature. I was surprised I was able to sit in for the entire 30 minutes. There is an aux cord so you have the ability to play your own music during your time in the sauna. There are curtains for extra privacy. Towels and robes are provided as well. We then both did an hour long float . I was a bit nervous that I would be claustrophobic however because it is a tank room rather than a pod, there is a descent amount of space. I felt comfortable closing the door for the entire session. It is hard to describe the peace you get when floating. When the world feels heavy, it's nice to float and feel as if you are light as a feather. I chose the meditation music and blue for my tank room. I experimented and turned the lights completely off for a few minutes. I enjoyed focusing on my breathing. At the end of the float, you shower and feel relaxed. I slept really good that night. The post float room had tea, water, and coloring. I was sad that the kombucha tap wasn't working because kombucha would have been refreshing after both floating and using the sauna. I highly recommend this experience to others!

This was my very first float, I wasn't sure what to expect going in and it was definitely an experience. I don't meditate so I had a lot of strange things while in the tank. If I go back it'll be after I practice some meditation so I can have a different experience. This place is set up really neat. The staff are really friendly and the room you go into after is really cozy. The room I went into was pretty big, and the shower leads right into the the tank. You rinse off before going in then when you go in you have the option to keep the blue light on inside the tank or turn it off. There's ambient music playing and there isn't any smells or anything. Once you're done you step out and shower, then you head into the decompression room. There's decaf tea and water, there's journals where you can write about your experience, there's books to read and coloring you can do or water color. Since you are in a sensory deprivation tank it can be overwhelming once you come out, but there's a very serene feeling about the whole place, so over stimulation after isn't an issue at all.

First off, I really appreciate that although I had a handful of unused floats from the past ownership, and although the current owner didn't have to, I was able to redeem 2 of them. So that was really generous of her. What stands out from the past is, the current owner goes above & beyond to be hospitable. As many times as I've been here, it's the 1st time someone has ever gave me a full tour & explained everything the way she did . After showing me how the new music system works, she showed me the relaxation room that has the oxygen, essential oils, hot tea (yum!) & coloring books. Then, she showed me the after care room which has a blow dryer, qtips, cotton balls, hair ties, lotion, hair care sprays & the bathroom. I really appreciated she allowed me to have room 4, which is significantly bigger than the other rooms. Then, she explained the items there for me, like the extra towels, instructions for 1st time floaters, towels, jelly for cuts, the earplugs (which you should put in before going in the pod), the eyespray which I used a few times in the past or else saltwater can burn your eyeballs, so don't do that! You've been forewarned. There's a sign for the shower which states you are supposed to do that both before & after getting in & out of the pod. There's shampoo, conditioner, & body wash provided. It was a great float but it was an exceptional experience because of the new owner. Even at the end, we conversed about balancing kids, owning a business & I also rescheduled before I left. I highly suggest to give it a try especially if you're a former customer, a new one or if you're just thinking about trying it. I really like the current vibe, fresh modern decor and the friendliness of the owner & I'd definitely go back. Great place to unwind & detox your mind & body after all that Christmas shopping too.

After changing, they have a relaxation room where you can calm down and wait for your masseuse. I was a little bit uncomfortable waiting, as when I entered the room, there was a man who was fully dressed and on his phone while sitting there. As a woman in nothing but a robe, it made me uncomfortable that he was on his phone just sitting there. I'm sure he meant no harm, but I would have liked it more if phones weren't allowed. It would be more relaxing. The massage itself was wonderful. I had Mira, and she did a great job releasing some of my tension in my shoulders and neck. She did some nice stretches during it too. I especially enjoyed the heated packs she put on my back and neck throughout. You used to get a nice foot bath while waiting in the waiting room. After COVID occurred, they got rid of the foot bath which was fine since I still love the atmosphere and I always get the full 90 minutes massage even with the massage therapist running late. Recently they have an online booking system which makes it really convenient. However the price has gone up for their services. My last massage at this spa turned into a deal breaker. I always booked a 90 minutes massage and this last one I only received 75 minutes of massage time. While massage therapist Breana was great during the massage. The major deal breaker for me is the therapist showing up to my appointment late and gave me less than 75 minutes of the 90 minutes massage I booked.
