I've been coming here for many years. Massages & body treatments are just okay (not consistent because of high staff turnover). The facility really needs some freshening up. And the spa sandals are fugly. When I was there recently, they didn't have any availability for a massage, so I got a pedicure instead. Rosa was fantastic (I give her 5 stars!!) My Dazzle Dry polish stayed perfect and chip-free for nearly 7 weeks! Well worth the price I paid. I would definitely go back for the pedicure! read more

I have been to the facility a couple times & called them over the phone for assistance : when I asked to talk to the manager, She was worse than the employees. They treat their customers as ATM machines instead of providing a genuine authentic customer service that will make customers want to come back. I've had a handful of prenatal massages and they often leave you relaxed but not relieved, or saying "that was the best massage I've ever had!" They used a pregnancy pillow for my belly so I could lay on my stomach which was so nice. Her touch was strong and intentional, and I melted like butter. The pool and juice bar are very charming and quaint. The bathrooms and showers are gorgeous and they did not skimp on any detail. Dont know how long it has been out of service although I have a feeling it has been a while. Massage was great. I spent 3 glorious hours here. I had a therapeutic massage which was amazing. Jody is a fantastic massage therapist. According to my oura ring I fell asleep for about 45 minutes of it. I was in such a wonderful state of relaxation post massage that I went to the inhalation room afterwards and slept for another 20 minutes. Spent a little time in the sauna too and it was really hot. Only last 5 minutes in there. Amenities are all really nice and they thought of everything. I've been to other day spas and this one has been my favorite. Overall we were sadly disappointed by our experience at the spa. The accommodations were nice but dated, the staff kind but overly present/doting, and the masseuses earnest but quite inexperienced and ineffective. We were mainly disappointed by the quality of our massages: my mother, partner, and I each got one, which cost well over $1,000, which felt quite unfair for the quality of service. The steam room was also broken. We also heard the staff complaining about working conditions, which definitely broke the magic. We came to The Spa at Pebble Beach looking for an oasis and some recuperation in the midst of some trying times. My daughter and I had a blissful day at this spa and can't wait to return soon. We were warmly greeted and promptly given a tour of the facility. We loved using all the amenities before and during breaks: Steam Room, Sauna, Ionization Room and Whirlpool Spa. We began treatments with a fantastic flotation wrap. It felt like a comforting cocoon that you didn't want to emerge from. We then had a lunch break on the patio and ordered tasty salads and a nice cocktail all in the comfort of our robes. We finished with the amazing Wellness (head to toe) treatment and were transported to another dimension. I had Sandra who had magic hands and I highly recommend. I am now encouraging my husband to play golf at Pebble Beach more often just so I can return to this wonderful spa. read more

Had a wonderful spa treatment at The Spa at Pebble Beach on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. You can go early and enjoy their amenities which include a steam room, sauna, pool, hot tub, anti-gravity chairs, and more. I was really impressed by how nice the amenities were. My only minor critique is I felt like the spa was fairly small. There were many people enjoying the amenities, not too many that I couldn't enjoy them myself, but it was definitely crowded. We had to wait a bit for the anti-gravity chairs because there were only 4 and they were in use the majority of the time we were there. They also have a little cafe you can eat at in their spa, which had great food and was "robe appropriate" (aka you can wear your robe while eating lunch) - so fun. The massage itself was great. My massage therapist was really nice and attentive to everything I was mentioning to her including my recent injury. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I am disappointed to report The Spa at Pebble Beach does not match the service levels of the rest of the property! You must prepay your service prior to entering the locker room area to enjoy the amenities. I understand this concept, but my massage was not to my satisfaction and did not deserve an automatic 20% gratuity. I feel the therapists are lazy in their work because they know the get the gratuity regardless. The line at the juice bar moved rather slow - it didn't seem like there was an efficient process in placing orders and billing it to the room or credit card. I did enjoy the amenities of the quiet room, cooling room, sauna, steam room, and showers, but felt the locker room was a bit outdated. I would be 50/50 on returning again, or skipping the massage next time and getting a facial or body wrap instead. read more

Boyfriend treated me to a spa day and chose the wonderful spa at pebble beach :-) The facilities are spotless, and everything is well-maintained. It's not the largest spa but it makes up for it in amenities! I personally liked the Eucalyptus Steam room and the Inhalation Room. We booked facials and a couple's massage for the both of us. There was a booking error for my facial, which left me waiting around in the conservatory after my boyfriend had already started his service. After nobody had called my name for 10 minutes, multiple workers checked in with me to figure out what was happening. They found the error and I was finally off to get my facial! It was a little rushed because I started late but the facial was fine. We had an hour before our massage so we checked out the Juice Bar. The manager was nice to comp our entire bill (due to the facial fiasco from earlier) so we got to try some juices, an açaí bowl, and some drinks. On to the massages - my boyfriend loved his but mine was just ok. I like deeper massages that leave me relaxed until the next day but I was back to normal again about an hour after. I will say... the massage beds are so soft and warm... I need one for my house lol I would definitely come back to try other services and enjoy the spa amenities. I love this spa. Very clean and very relaxing atmosphere. They have a dry sauna, a ventilation room, a steam room, an outdoor heated pool, and a fire pit room with a conservatory. Nice homemade snacks, water and tropical tea. The treatments are expensive but it's great for a special occasion treat. My 80 minute massage cost $345. Gratuity is automatically included. This is one of my favorite places on earth! It is a little expensive but you get to enjoy beautiful facilities! I love to show up right when they open, get cozy with a book in the quiet area, have a massage then go into the steam room, hot tub and take a wonderful shower before relaxing back in the quiet room by the fire with my book and a blanket. I had no idea only 60 Spa facilities in the world that received the Forbes 5 star award, and The Spa at Pebble Beach was one of them, hence the price tag I guess, but after my visit I'm confirming that it's worth every single penny! Luxury is the precise word to describe the spa facility, it's got everything you can think of at a high end Spa. Locker room, make up area, sauna and steam room, jacuzzi lounge are all yours to enjoy, snacks and beverages are available to keep you hydrated and energized. My favorite is the zero gravity room, you can totally relax and take nap on one of the four lounge chairs that elevates your legs. When you're ready to go upstairs two amazing relaxation lounges are there for you to choose, one with outdoor garden theme and one with indoor fire pit, which I loved so much I spent a good two hours relaxing and reading there. They also have an onsite salon and a juice bar! In terms of services, you really can't go wrong with any thing. I shelled out big money and got myself a scrub, message plus a facial, all were amazing! The more amazing thing was I learnt that each of my service provider has worked for the pebble beach spa for 15+ years, and they're still enjoying every single day. That really gives you an idea what kind of a place that is. If you have a reason to celebrate and to pamper yourself definitely go to the Spa at the Pebble Beach! The Hot Stone Massage and Spa Pedicure I received were top notch! To begin with my pedicure I got the full treatment. Hot neck roll, amazing massage, good exfoliating and of course beautiful tootsies. I would certainly recommend Claudia to anyone. My Hot Stone massage was nothing short of amazing as well. The centering of my Yin/Yang left me feeling like I'm floating on air once I peeled myself off the table. I highly recommend this massage choice. The stones are just a medium of which the massage is done with and the smooth oiled stone felt wonderful on all my knots and sore muscles. We also took advantage of lunch at the Spa. Beautiful outdoor seating and delicious food. The entire facility is well maintained and has every amenity that you could wish for. I especially like the atrium to sit and read in. I visited The Spa at Pebble Beach while staying at a nearby hotel. It is marketed as an award winning spa and thought it would a relaxing experience while my husband was playing golf. Upon arrival it was disappointing that the first person who I approached at the reception desk was unfriendly. After being shown to my locker and changed I had no idea where to go. One would have thought I would have been given a short tour of the facility since it was my first visit. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst part of my experience. My treatment was with a male technician and his behavior was so unprofessional it made me extremely uncomfortable. I wished I had the courage to have spoken up that day and had asked to speak with the manager but all I wanted to do was leave. read more

best part is scenery, wait rooms/sauna/read room/ pool area. Facial was good but very rushed to meet other practitioners time. Masseuse was top notch and my favorite part of day long treatments, she gave sports massage with excellent pressure along with deep tissue well. Nails and pedicure were done with great skill and time frame, but I really hate that they use dremel on nails- screwed up my nail bed for months on my toes also despite them saying my nail polish would last longer than that it started chipping on day2. Also its super bad for your nails, which I requested to use reg file and nail polish remover soak instead- but was ignored for a good 3 nails saying that they couldn't get nail polish off (i don't use gel because it suffocates your nails so you actually do not need to use dremel, it just takes a few minutes longer...which i think they didn't want to do.) Fair enough- get your nails done very last in day so they can take their time with you on this procedure if your anti gel/ Dremel like myself). Staff was very professional as in courtesy and efficiency . Cleanliness of the entire place was to the level it needed to be. It was nice to be able to read in quiet spots during my time there, eat a nice salad and smoothie and most people keep their noise (patrons) to a minimal. The spa shop was stocked with your treatment items and great odds and ends for your stay at PBGC. Relaxing, yes. read more

Love the facilities and ambience but unfortunately our experience from start to finish was nowhere five star. First, they couldn't find our reservation of 4 although I had printed confirmation. We end up getting split up at different times which is fine but unfortunately with not the services we requested. You would think all therapists are qualified to do different massages but we all had to do the same massage for a shorter time. My boyfriend said it felt like it was someone caressing him - no pressure. Too expensive for a subpar experience. The most disappointing was having to hear the staff everywhere we went. Kim talks extremely loud, her voice carries throughout the property and the two up front were gossiping non stop about their co-workers. I was waiting for my boyfriend's service to be finished before we settled up and it was like they were nervous we weren't going to pay and followed me out to the courtyard pretending to do something and brought it up so randomly. I let her know we would like to close once his services finished but she brought me the bill for both anyway. Be aware that the cafe has gratuity added but they don't mention it or show you the itemized receipt for you to know this. I found this out by one honest employee on the day I checked out after double tipping all week. That's sneaky and it left a bad taste in my mouth. This Spa is amazing!! I love the whole place, but one of the things that sets it apart is the customer service. I've been to spas where they don't explain or show you anything, but this is not that place. The attendants walk you through, showing you where everything is, even down to how to turn on the shower if you are that inept. Been here many times and have never been disappointed. Nice, open, bright places to relax, lots of cozy blankets and hot neck pillows that smell like gingerbread. Who could dislike that?? Pretty decent service at the pool area for lunch and drinks, they'll even bring fries from the main restaurant if you're feeling like something naughty to eat. The spa has unvaccinated massage therapists. It does not tell its clients nor give them an opportunity to choose a vaccinated therapist. This puts the clients at great risk because you spend an hour in a small, enclosed space together with no ability to socially distant. I was even told I could take my mask off when lying face down. After having this experience shortly after completing cancer treatment, I suggested to management that they change their policy. They have refused to do so. I think other patrons should be aware of the risks so they can make their own decisions. read more

Another great experience here! This time I went with the Pebble Massage. Always go with the Pebble Massage when it's rainy and cold out, it is exactly what's needed. That heat is so relaxing and restorative to the body, it put me on cloud 9. My therapist Raquel was excellent, she did amazing shoulder work (my requested focus area) and had great technique. Book a Pebble Massage and book it with Raquel, you won't regret it. As usual, the facilities were top notch and those 3 headed showers are the perfect way to wake up out of the daze of a good massage. Thanks for another great experience guys! read more

I love the spa itself, I've been here several times and love to relax and unwind. It's just the last few times haven't been as good and here is why: - they no longer fill the hot tub in the women's area, it comes to my waist. I asked it they could fill it (I was the only one there on a weekday midday) and they said no because if I turn the jets on it will make a mess on the floor?! I said I won't turn them on, will tell others the same and they can drain it when I'm done. They said no so I paid for the water experience to soak in a tub. - the massage person I had, a man who was a bit older, absolutely refused to do what I asked. He was so stern about doing what he felt was right, I felt completely at a loss. It was a painful and disturbing experience and when I spoke to a staff member the response was 'yeah, he doesn't like being told what to do'. I have had several massages here, and I will say I have yet to be really impressed with this service which is why I come to a spa. - I like the snacks, observatory was loud this time for some reason and people were eating real food there which kind of smelled. not pleasant. - the place itself is absolutely beautiful, most staff are helpful and I love the grounds and now the cafe. If the massage was stellar and the hot tub full, it would vastly improve the experience. read more

The Spa is alright. It definitely lacks the "Wow" you get when you go to some of the more amazing Spa's. I'm not sure how the other Spa's in the area are - perhaps this is the best one, but on an international scale, its just alright. You need to work on your Juice Bar a little more. I should not be able to see the kitchen, that little tiny kitchen, as if though its a hole in the wall diner or something. The service is a little slow and the recommendations a little off. You should not try to push the product if its crap. Consider yourself lucky that I'm giving it four stars. read more

I was staying at the Lodge at Pebble Beach & signed up to get a 50-minute customized facial. The atmosphere was very cautious due to covid (although I'm an RN & fully vaccinated). The warmth and relaxation seemed to be absent in a sense. I couldn't even pour water or iced tea into a plastic cup without someone doing it for me- same price but a lot of the amenities were not available such as the steam room or jacuzzi etc. Also they emphasized not staying for more than 30 mins after the session. My anesthetist recommended a lactic acid peel which I wanted. So for an extra $48 on top of $200 (plus tip) I received the lactic acid facial and that's about it. A wash / lactic acid and hydraulic acid w vitamin C application. This left my face dripping with oil & they want you in a facial covering/ mask when leaving or walking around- so I showered and washed it off prior to leaving. It wasn't an application that I could walk around with whatsoever. It was mentioned there was a pool or food or a cafe but I had no idea where that was, so I just left afterwards. I would likely look outside the resort for a facial if I came back. My skin has no glow or extra smoothness that I am used to after a $250 facial. Not impressed at all with the overall outcome and experience. Wish I had skipped this. Love the resort and room though. read more

Shockingly unfortunate, but I have had the WORST possible customer service experience with Pebble Beach Resorts. Too long to explain, but I'm posting everywhere, to everyone I know and everyone I meet through work or pleasure, strongly discouraging the patronage of such a business. Stick to Post Ranch Inn or anywhere else. PBI, you're "selling" a lovely experience, not a living nightmare. TERRIBLE. OK, I'll Cliff notes it: my sister purchased a gift certificate for me, I never received it, turns out one of their employees stole it (which I was told was not uncommon), and then they had the audacity to say they weren't responsible & could not reissue it!!! Eventually they did, but I had to pursue it for months! No accountability on their end! NO apology! I don't understand how this is acceptable service. The industry is called "Hospitality" for a reason. I could've just let the $ go, but it's a spa, not a charity. So I'll just put it out there that I'm not a fancy kind of gal. I really had my reservations about spending all damn day in my robe. At a spa. With a bunch of turned-up-nose-people I didn't know, paying astronomical amounts for services they probably got weekly. But. I fell in love. Immediately. It wasn't a gradual love affair. It was love at first sight and then every moment that I stayed, was another check mark that inked the deal. From the time you drive into the lush, green, serene grounds, you are enveloped in the beauty that is Pebble Beach. You walk in the door to a tour of the facilities, and given your own locker and cozy robe and slippers for the day. You don't need to bring anything, because you either have it in the fully stocked showers and changing area, or in your locker. They have wonderful, quality hair products (even flat irons and blow dryers) to use at the end of your day. The entire facilities are immaculate and there are people cleaning up every two seconds. Where do you start in this maze of relaxation? Start at opening,at 8:30 am. It doesn't matter what time your appointment is for, just get there early. And stay until they close. You have an outdoor 82 degree pool, an indoor hot tub, a sauna, an inhalation room, a steam room, an indoor firepit room, a salon, the sanctuary room, and, and, and. Every corner you turn there are fresh towels, blankets, cucumber water, iced tea, fresh made fruit bars, snacks, fruit and smiling faces to cater to your every whim. It's ridiculous really. But, with paying for at least one service, it is your reality for the day. My friends have gotten luxurious massages here, but I can only speak for the pedicure, which I think is around $80 and is the best hour long pedicure you'll have. They will bring you mimosas or beer while you're in the massage chair as well. When your done, you can walk a few feet to the patio and wait for your toes to dry while you check out the scenery. The next time I make the trek to Monterey, I will come back and try the Water Experience, which I've heard is a 16-shower-head kind of magical bathtub for 30 minutes. Sign me up. Before I had even had an hour in the books, I had a girls weekend planned out in my head and the texts sent out by the end of day. I got back to reality, Sacramento. I searched for somewhere similar. I'm fairly certain that the kind of heaven found at The Spa at Pebble Beach does not exist anywhere but Monterey. read more

All I scheduled here was a sports massage and the craniosacral balancing. I spent about four hours though just enjoying all the spa amneties...From their sanctuary area with a fire pit, to the conservatory with hot tea and snacks available, to the hot tub and steam rooms. This is by far one of the cleanest spas I have ever been to.. and the maid staff were very impressive! As soon as I got into the Jacuzzi in the ladies room, the staff was there to put a towel down for me when I got out! The massage I got from Roger was strong. He gave me a great deep tissue massage and seemed to be very experienced and know exactly what he was doing. Typically I don't like it when the masseur constantly tries to strike up a conversation while you're trying to relax, and he was not like this at all. That makes the massage all that much better! I was very curious about the craniosacral balancing, so I decided to give it a try... It was very different, like no experience I've ever had before... The whole goal of this balancing is to get the fluids from your brain flowing better down your spine. I must say he did something good, because I have felt great after and feel a tremendous amount of tension in my neck and shoulders area that has been released. read more

For a while, I thought Burke Williams was that place, but as soon as I stepped into the Spa at Pebble Beach, I knew I was in for something very special. The amenities here are amazing. My favorite was the sanctuary room, which is honestly one of the most relaxing places I've ever seen. The room is surrounded windows, which allow you to gaze out at the peaceful surroundings. The fire pit is centrally located in the room and surrounded by comfy lounge chairs complete with cozy blankets and magazines. What a way to relax! The rest of the facility is loaded with other relaxing amenities, such as the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, outdoor heated pool, and relaxing sitting areas. There are refreshment stations scattered around the facility with water, iced tea, and fruit. The locker room is clean and spacious. The women's make-up room has everything you'll need to get ready after your treatment. The shower rooms are clean and complete with shampoo, conditioner, etc. The services I had were amazing. My massage was super relaxing and my facial left my skin smooth and glowing. Both my massage therapist and esthetician were fantastic. Although, I can't say that the services alone were totally worth the heft price. Yes, all services here are very pricey, but if you just remind yourself where you are, it may seem a little more justifiable. So, if you're looking to splurge on a day of pampering, look not further.
