The hubby and I were walking around Solvang and checked out this sock store on a Saturday evening. If you're upping your sock game, this store is the spot if you're in Central California. I was just looking at their stuff but, saw their items on clearance. Got these red and black plaid , fleece lined slipped and the reusable Yeti from the Rudolph movie shopping. The gal working that evening was vacuuming and preparing to close up. She was still friendly and courteous while doing so. She forgot to discount the Christmas clearance bag (didn't notice til later) but, that's okay as the regular price was still inexpensive. When in Solvang, I would stop by again to see what cool socks and other items they have. read more

We walked in The Sock Loft as we were doing some window shopping in Solvang. It's all in the name - lots of goofy socks all around! The selection has something for everyone. We ended up buying stickers but next time we're in Solvang I might be adventurous and get some bold socks. read more

Got 4 pair of socks from here. Liked so many prints but can't buy too many:( Got a black sheet with red hearts. Ice cream socks. Hot pink popsicle socks. If you love socks run to this store! I love SOCKS! My husband loves nice high quality athletic socks (the kind that go for $20 a pair) and they sell them here, and I love all socks that are cute and / or cozy. The selection here is VAST I got myself a cute fall themed pair that had leaves and pumpkins and pumpkin spice lattes on them They're good quality and comfortable and so cute! Mediocre sock selection with rude staff to top it off. I was initially excited to come here since a lot of websites had suggested this store. However, the selection ended up being okay - a lot of repeats of the same designs. But what really prompted me to write my first ever review and to give this place 1 star is the customer service. The old lady who checked me out was beyond rude. I guess this is what happens when you're the only specialized sock store in the area - you think customers need you and not the other way around. read more

From the outside it looks like a tiny shop with seasonal and possibly corny socks. But when you step inside you realize it's a large store with a lot more than just socks. From sexy to simple, interesting and inspiring - pantyhose, thigh his or tights can make your outfit. I loved the selection, this store has quite the selection. Everywhere I go I grab a pair of socks to remember my travels. This store had a great selection and I found a great pair to remember my visit to Solvang! Customer service was a bit lacking - two staff members were chatting towards the back of the store while I was waiting at the front to check out. I asked if I could check out and they paused and then went back to chatting. I waited another few minutes and they both came up to the register, still chatting, and then one of them checked me out. One star down due to the check out experience but 4 stars for the awesome selection. read more

There are rows and rows and rows of socks here! This store has the biggest collection of socks I have ever seen. I was able to get a Harry Potter one for our trip to Universal while my kid picked her own fun one. What a fun little store for everyone! Every spot on the wall is covered from floor to ceiling with a variety of socks. You name it, they'll likely have it. I don't have any sort of sock fetish but this store might actually make you want one. My best friend just had a baby girl so I ended up buying her the cutest little socks that look like their shoes. I even picked up a pair of Toe socks for pilates. They carried a variety colors that I haven't seen elsewhere. The Sock Loft is a fun little store that you should definitely stop in if in Solvang. Probably the best sock store in town with AMAZING selection! As a nurse, I don't have many options to accessorize my scrubs and one way that my friends and I love to show our personality and have fun at work is through our socks! My friend (and fellow nurse) Nancy S. introduced me to this store first when she would bring me sock gifts back from her weekend trips in Solvang. I would always look forward to what socks she would bring back for me or what cute pair she would buy for herself. Recently, I was finally able to visit the store myself and I wasn't disappointed. They have socks for everyone - men, women and kids and soooo many styles - long, short, cotton, athletic, compression socks, boot socks... like one fashionista would say: "Options, options, options!!" I left with 8 pairs (mostly food designs, think donuts, coffee, avocados, cupcakes...) and was happy to find out that they have a rewards card program! If you buy 10 socks, you get your 11th pair free (less than $10 value). I love this! I'm a sock junkie. If there was an AA for sock addicts, I would have to join. My sock drawer is over-flowing. Stores like this don't help. I mean, a whole store dedicated to socks (there may be some gloves and a few other things, but it's mostly socks)? The men's selection is the best I've found, including online stores (like the Joy of Socks...get it?). My only complaint is that they don't have polka dot socks like Johnny Lee Hooker used to wear. But no one does. I would buy polka dot socks of any and all colors if I could but find them!j I like funky dress socks, and they have them in spades, including socks with spades on them (and action figures, mustaches, Tabasco, etc.). I always walk away leaving $50 or so on socks! My 4 year-old found some rainbow socks she is crazy about, and my niece (12) got some shark eating her leg socks. Short review here. I apologize. Not really much to say for this place. If you're looking for a sock of really any kind for any foot type or style, this is your place. It was fun just to walk in and look at everything. They have socks for all ages too and for athletes, diabetics, etc. They also carried knit goods in the back, accessories by Lounge Fly, and canvas boots/shoes from Malibu. I wasn't really a fan of the pricing. Socks for 8-15 dollars was a bit high for me. Then again, if you were looking for something particular, this is your place, if you're willing to pay the price. read more

If you are a dancer and looking for funky fresh legwarmers or socks, this is the place to go! Although this is not a traditional dance supply store, they have a fantastic selection of colorful and/or patterned tights, socks, legwarmers and leggings. After looking through the whole store, I finally settled on a pair of striped pretty lime green legwarmers and a pair of striped pink, orange, creme, yellow and gray legwarmers with cute little buttons! I have to agree with Eric H that the pricing for socks is a little high, BUT for legwarmers, the pricing is awesome! I got two pairs of legwarmers for under $23 tax already included. For legwarmers the pricing is very reasonable compared to dance stores. read more

What a cool place to find tons of socks to suit your fancy. My sis and I were in awe of all the crazy socks that were available. A must shop stop when you're in Solvang. From long socks to short socks, cat socks to beer socks so many available. Even Marvel and DC comics socks. This place would have gotten a four star but the two ladies working this past Tuesday, we're the best to converse with or strike up a conversation. They seemed nice and "Chatty Cathies" with each other but didn't seem to engage the conversation. While ringing up my sis, the two employees were chatting with each other and my sis chimed in with a funny comment about being tired after eating - "food coma", but the two just shut up and didn't engage her. The second one standing next to the counter just kind of looked aloof and slightly stuck her tongue out. Oh well, sorry for butting into your conversation you were having while ringing us up. But oh well, as long as we got the socks we wanted. It kind of soured us on wanting to come back but there are so many socks that are so cute. We'll look past the employees and just pay for the merchandise and stay quiet. read more

A little bummed that the sign out front said 20% off socks, yet when I checked out my receipt when I got home, I realized I had been charged full price. From outside, just looks small and cute. But once you get inside it has a large footprint AND a faboulous selection of socks for: children, women AND men. WOW! Nice dressy socks for ladies, including pretty trouser socks, and smart wool socks. For the little ones, really cute selection too.
