I met Nina in the store on Thursday and she was so friendly and patient, pointing out where the items were from and details I would not have noticed. She gave me a greater appreciation for the artistry of each piece. I felt completely at ease and could have spent the entire afternoon browsing and experiencing the lovely fabrics. When we asked a simple question about the hats, she acted visibly annoyed, as if we were bothering her. Then, during checkout, she didn't say a single word. My husband had to be the one to say thank you -- only then did she say you're welcome, and it felt like she only said that out of obligation, not courtesy. This is a tourist town, and being in retail means showing some level of hospitality. Her attitude was unprofessional and cold. I almost went back in to return the hat purely because of how we were treated. If you're having a bad day, that's understandable, but it's no excuse to treat paying customers this way. To management: Please ensure your staff understands that kindness and basic communication matter -- especially in a town built on tourism.

Well, this one is kind of hidden so you'll have to look for it. It's another great place to check out when you're in Solvang.

I wasn't looking for anything specific at first. I just wanted to see what they have. They do have some neat stuff. Prices are decent. Towards the end of my stroll, it dawned on me that I've been wanting to buy a silver necklace for my pendant and just haven't gotten to it. I saw some necklaces, but they didn't appeal to me. So I asked the lady behind the counter if they have 18K silver necklaces and she said no. All they have is costume jewelry. Oh well, I guess my search continues LOL. I ended up not buying anything from here. If you're looking for some souvenirs and/or keepsakes, this may be the shop for you. Happy Shopping!
