    Mac and cheese
    Denise H.

I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken salad tossed with buttermilk dressing. Everything tasted fresh and the chicken was fried crispy and juicy. My grandsons had Mac and cheese that they enjoyed. My daughter-in-love enjoyed her quiche of the day. Mushroom, mozzarella, carrot and onion. She's a top yelp reviewer and she really enjoyed it!!! Finally the cranberry orange muffin was incredible! Staff were friendly. Space was clean and welcoming.

    Buttermilk Chicken wrap...was very good!

With no idea what to expect at a restaurant connected to a department store, we found this to be a very pleasant surprise. The menu was relatively extensive, decor was upbeat and the food was good. My Buttermilk Chicken wrap was attractive (see photo), fresh and tasty. The "side" of seasoned fries was pretty skimpy but tasted good. Our order arrived quickly. Negatives were few. The "order/pay/take a number/help yourself to drinks" setup was, inspite of numerous signs, clearly confusing to a significant number of patrons. We didn't find the format to be overly cumbersome but the order taker/cashier (who was friendly) is apparently responsible for maintaining the beverage area so we and others had to wait to place our orders even after reviewing the menu. Our tabletop needed a deep cleaning as it had sticky film...a quick wipe with a damp rag just isn't getting it done. Prices were reasonable by the way and the Social Kitchen is an interesting alternative to the pricier options in and around the mall. We'll be back.

Chicken Chili with mandarin chicken salad! Delicious!

If you're a fan of Macy's former restaurant "Lakeshore Grill" you'll be pleased with this! The social kitchen has a similar menu of midwestern comfort foods to the Lakeshore; popovers, pot pies, walleye dinners, wild rice soup, etc. The popovers are the star of the show and come out piping hot with a side of honey butter (only $2!). My favorite Lakeshore meal was their baked mac and cheese with mandarin spinach salad and I was sad to see they didn't bring that back, however their mandarin chicken salad with sesame dressing is very similar and is a new favorite of mine! I tried the white chicken chili and thought it was fantastic. My mom got the wild rice soup and thought mine was better. The concept is casual but the inside is very charming and pretty; you walk-up order at the bar and then get a table number and the food is brought to you. I didn't have an issue with that, the food came out very quickly! I look forward to trying more of the menu and purchasing some of that sesame salad dressing to go at their cafe (they come in half pints!)

We had a reservation, arrived a few minutes early, and were seated immediately. We got a nice table near the windows where we could enjoy the sparkling lights. I chose the butternut squash ravioli as my entree. We started with the Parmesan shrimp as our app. Warm bread was delivered to our table as well after we were asked if we were interested in getting some. Everything was delicious. The shrimp was nice and hot with a perfect coating of parm keeping it light and tasty. Ravioli had a nice topping which created a good contrast of textures. It came in two sizes and the smaller portion was more than enough for me. We finished our meal with a shared crème brûlée. Creamy custard and a crispy top was a perfect end to the meal. Service was excellent. We were well taken care of and never felt rushed despite it being a very busy night. Great stop.

The property is spacious, clean with the appropriate amount of lighting. There is a full bar, and a decent tap list. Feeling spunky today, I opted for the Bloody Mary because I was curious if 17.00 was a worthy price for this drink. I'll say there is a LOT of accoutrements in that glass. cheese, shrimp, olives, pickle, and salami(?) if I recall. It was a lot, which was nice, but the star of the show should be the Bloody Mary mix. Here, I felt it fell short, but that is just me. Onto the food - I probably should have stopped at the Bloody Mary, but I was not to be deterred. I ordered the Wagyu Mushroom Burger, and my dining partner ordered the half BLT with a cup of French Onion Soup. The burger was really disappointing. I will say the burger was perfectly made and cooked, but the sauteed mushrooms completely took over the flavor of the burger. Paying a premium price for some ground beef, it should be front and center. I won't order that again. The BLT was wonderful, and everything you'd expect. thick bacon with the right amount of lettuce and tomato, with avocado to add a creamy overtone. The French Onion soup was the best thing we were served. I would come back here again just for that. I would assign this establishment 3 stars, but our server was awesome, so they get an extra star just for this aspect of our dining experience.

I usually recommend a reservation for Pink Ivy as during dinner rush it always seems full. I have had so many great meals here. The staff has also been wonderful. They are knowledgeable and friendly and really make a difference. Atmosphere can change from time to time. As busy restaurants nights are always going to have that buzz but in a good way. As the busy night calms into late evening there is this different nice smooth feeling that comes over the place. Lastly this place introduced me to a new drink. The Carajillo. In my opinion it's a better version of the Espresso Martini as it's a bit sweeter.

I somehow showed up wearing green without even planning it, so I accidentally matched the vibe which made it even better. The atmosphere overall feels clean, modern, and relaxed without being over the top. It works really well for a casual lunch or a low-key date where you still want something a little nicer. We tried a few different things, and everything was well done. The burger was juicy with a good melt on the cheese and a soft bun that held together nicely. Simple, but done right. The side salad was fresh and actually had flavor instead of just being there. The meatballs were a standout--really tender and covered in a rich, creamy sauce that made the dish feel more elevated. The mussels were also great, and the broth was flavorful enough that dipping the grilled bread in it was a must. Nothing felt like a miss, and everything had a little extra attention to detail. Also our server was very nice and kind I liked her. Overall, I'd come back. It's not super fancy, but it feels like a step up from your usual spots and is a great option if you want something cute, relaxed, and still really solid.
