St. Paddy's Day countdown

People LOVE this place. It's the favourite haunt of a lot of Burbank barflies. I can see how it can be cosy and welcoming. The bartender is great. For me personally, it was an okay bar. I came to try Writers' Tears whiskey to see if I liked it before committing to buying a bottle. Maybe it was just the night I was there, but I was surprised at how brightly illuminated it was. I was expecting a dimly-lit dive, not all lights ablaze like a Burger King. It wasn't exactly relaxing, and if I was asked to pick a mid-scale bar in the area, I'd probably go with No Bar, where I can't see every pore on the nose of the person I'm drinking with.

Dive bar. Like, Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive bar. "we-ain't-got-no-kitchen-but-you-can-order-in kinda dive-bar." Drunk regulars before noon type dive bar. Where everybody knows your name kind'a dive bar. Phenomenal Love it. 10/10 I was there prior to a noon-lead. Don't judge me. #saleslife Oh, and to top it off: The hot, urban, hippy, carefree bartender was also perfect. Thanks, Tony!!

Looking for a dive bar experience while in Burbank? Head over to the Snug and you won't be disappointed. I usually hit the Snug up when I want to catch a game in peace without the hustle and bustle . This bar is small and gets crowded fast but if you come off peak hours finding a bar stool or booth won't be a problem. The Snug doesn't have a kitchen , but they have a few snack options for purchase. This Irish style pub has a casual atmosphere with a chill vibe. The happy hour is 4pm-7pm weekdays offering $3 drinks. Plenty of draft and bottle beer options.Street parking only.

Found out that this place was a Miami Dolphins friendly bar on Sundays so I decided to check it out. The owner "Tony" greeted me as I arrived and my first impression was a good one as he is one heck of a nice guy. Great service. Fun environment. Met a bunch of new friends. Will be back for sure. :)

I've got to be honest, I didn't know what we were getting into walking up to a huge barrel entrance BUT once I got inside it's a whole VIBE! Especially the cute patio area. I've tried : Tater tots are made just right . Crispy on the outside and moist inside . 5/5 Sweet potato fries to my surprise were the best I've ever had bc I usually dislike them everywhere else . What makes these stand out is the aoli sauce that's paired so well with it. 5/5 Fish tacos were well stacked with flavor and lightly battered fries moist fish with a lime wedge 5/5 A Lavender Gin Cocktail. Might be my fave drink here! 5/5 Mirkwood looks murky but tastes good 4/5 Gin mojito was refreshing and well balanced 5/5 There's two bars. One in the front when you walk in and the other in their back patio . Mark definitely knows what he's doing behind the bar. There's a good amount of tables in both areas too . I keep coming back for their friendly service , good bar food and well made drinks.

We ordered the pork belly with watermelon, short rib, crab cake, broccolini, and apple cobbler, along with a couple of drinks. Everything made for a lovely evening, and our server, Emily, was wonderful. She was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which is always appreciated. Unfortunately, the valet experience was a different story. When I first pulled up, the valet team was moving slowly, leaving my car sticking out enough that I was concerned it could get hit. They eventually moved it, but didn't fold in my side mirrors, despite doing so for other vehicles. Given that Ventura Boulevard is a busy street, that was frustrating. The bigger issue came when we were leaving. The valet team was extremely slow and actually brought me the wrong car. I'm not sure whose white Tesla they brought around, but I would be incredibly upset if my car were handed over to someone else. When I pointed out that it wasn't my vehicle, the staff weren't apologetic and instead treated me as though I were the problem. It's disappointing when a great dining experience ends on such a frustrating note. Firefly has a lovely atmosphere, the food was enjoyable, and Emily provided excellent service. However, the valet operation needs significant improvement, both in efficiency and in how they handle mistakes with customers. I'd happily return for the restaurant, but I hope management addresses the valet experience.

We did not make a reservation (I do recommend if you want indoor seating on busy nights) but we came at 4 pm and got a table that was reserved at 9 pm so we got to sit until we left that table at ~8:30 pm. We loved the indoor tiki decor and thought the whole vibe of the place was so cute and charming and we did appreciate some of the other customers who dressed up in Tiki style clothing as well. We did get dropped off/picked up but there's theoretical street parking out front for your DD (drink responsibly!!). They had a summer drinks special menu and we got the TBD and the Pure Imagination, I preferred the pure imagination. But our absolute favorite drink was the Nutty Chi Chi, a vodka blend on a classic Piña Colada! They don't serve food themselves but there is a taco stand out back after ~6pm that takes cash + card (card fee!) and will drop off food to your table. Such a fun night and looking forward to coming around again!
