For the past ten years this is the only place I've ever used. Usually busy but speedy process

These guys are always professional and fast! The price is always competitive I have been using them for years.

Quick service. Nothing fancy just a hard working honest man. Fair price. Recommend it.

I did not have to make an appointment, waited only a few minutes for Mr. Smog's Father to take care of my car. The owner is an Older gentleman, very polite, and straightforward, and has great customer service. The price is about average as any other place $60 + the certificate. Definitely coming back. read more

The service was great and the test was finished in 10 minutes. The owner was so nice. I highly recommend The Smogfather.

A little on the expensive side ($69 for basic smog check) but if you come early you are in and out 10 minutes. I knew this coming in instead of going through Groupon where you can pay half. I guess you pay for the time you save. I recommend it! read more

I went in and was helped by older gentleman. He was kind and fast. Recommend the service!

The best smog shop. Period. I recently purchased a 1990 Corvette ZR1 from out of state. These cars are notorious for being tricky to pass being almost 30 years old. I brought it to the Smogfather based on yelp reviews and failed the first time. I was devastated and paranoid because the car was in a good running condition and was thinking it might the best it can do. The "Smogfather" recommended that I drive the car more on freeway to clear up the system. He said he doesn't mind testing again! I got a fresh tank of gas, ran it hard on freeway, came back and viola! Passed the smog! I cannot thank him enough and because of Smogfather, i can keep my car registered here in California! read more

This is THE PLACE to get your smog checked. I was there for maybe 15 minutes max. The man who ran the shop is a gem! He was kind, helpful, and clearly took a lot of pride in his business. I was given a free water bottle for the time I was in the waiting room. It was $69 and well worth it for a quick walk-in. I was able to use ApplePay. read more

I've been coming here with three different cars for probably a decade. Straightforward, honest business. The guy running the tests is friendly and always offers a bottled water. Not a fancy place but one I easily choose over the competition. read more

He finished up with the person in front of me in less then 30mims after my arrival. I was not at his shop for more then 20mims. Someone pulled up behind me and he was nice to them also and offered the other Customer a cold water bottle. I will definitely refer everyone to the Smogfather. Lol read more

Quick smog. Good price. Great service, the guy who did the test was really nice. The whole package.

I have never gotten a smog before, have no idea what a smog is or why I need one, but whatever. So, I look up this place and call. He told me it was $50 for the smog. I get there at 5pm, they close at 5:30. I am greeted by an older man with a huge smile on his face and asks if I was the one that called earlier. He immediately hooks the car up and goes to work. There was a cool little seating area off to the side where you can relax while he gets the job done. About 5 minutes into the process, he comes and hands me a water. It wasn't even hot outside but this was an extremely kind gesture that I greatly appreciated. The process takes all of 8 minutes. If you're looking to get a smog, just come here. I don't even know how much a smog normally costs but it doesn't matter because this was literally the easiest thing ever. read more

Super easy. There was no line when I went. Have him my paperwork and was in and out in about 15 minutes. I would def recommend if you are going to the Hawthorne DMV as its less than a mile away. Also he gave me two waters as a waited for the diagnostic to finish. read more

I've been coming here for years. I came for a smog check in March and my car didn't pass. The smogfather told me to get the repairs done and come back in a month and he would not charge me full price. So I got the repairs done($2789 to be exact). I go back today 5/15/20 not only did my car pass the smog test, he only charged me $20. Thank you so much. God is good read more
