Three Stars for the Sunday Morning Brunch Buffet. Okay, I have one really, REALLY, negative comment about this casino. My GAWD, get rid of the smoke! It's repulsive, disgusting and hideous. When I was in high school (back in the day) all the smokers hung out in the girls bathroom off of the cafeteria, smoke billowed out of that room in great, grey, stinky, clouds. Walking through this casino on the way to the buffet gave me flash backs! I feel like I might have second hand cigarette smoke induced PTSD! I need a lung transplant after that walk! Oxygen, Oxygen! Okay, so I gave this review a 3 star because they really do have a fantastic Sunday morning brunch, and thankfully, the restaurant has no smoke smell. It's $15 and worth $30. I'm not going to list everything on the buffet because I'll invariably leave something out, but buffets usually don't impress me and this one did. It was fresh and varied. This isn't the average cold to lukewarm, over cooked toddler food where you're surrounded by people who are only there for the simple exercise of stuffing as much food as possible at the lowest price available into their mouths. Wow loved this place yesterday. Tonight with my husband, I put a $96.22 ticket into a machine. It locked up. I didn't spin at alll. I was on my phone answering a text. I pressed the service light. Ultimately after 20 minutes, a tall, very combative manager said I didn't put in a ticket. I'm 53, & have been to dozens of casinos in the western U.S. So to give him the benefit of the doubt, I went to my room & searched through anything I had on me. Then I called 911. The manager informed me that was the only way to look at their cameras was to have Police with a warrant. Still waiting several hours later. Who knows if they will show up. I left all our info, room # etc. it really puts a damper on our expensive weekend. Anyway, This is exactly what happened. No lost ticket. They know I didn't leave the chair. I just stayed at this hotel again for the umpteenth time. I keep going back for a number of reasons . One is because it's a nice little weekend getaway and not too far from my Snohomish County home . The hotel is spotlessly clean every time I go. The casino seems to pay out pretty well most of the time. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. If you like Mexican food they have plenty of that. They're Express eats however has a very limited menu . Most of it is just not something I would want to eat for two or three days in a row, such as burgers Pizza, etc. I really wish they would open it back up as a buffet. That way everybody could get something that they really like. If they can't open the buffet, maybe add some more variety to the menu. I hardly ever see people eating in there it seems. Plus, even that doesn't open until 9:00 a.m. fortunately I had some leftover dinner in the fridge in my room this time , but no place to warm it up as they've removed the microwave ovens from the rooms . As a concert venue, have to say I'm a huge fan of Skagit Valley Casino Resort Came up to see PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA & it was such a fab time!! Very small banquet room setup that has a stage, typical banquet / conference chairs & a nice bar area in the room right outside At first we thought the venue would be in the casino but it's instead right upstairs from the hotel. You'll want to enter the lobby of the hotel part & go up the small flight of stairs Sound was loud but not too much so which was nice since our seats were right up against the speakers Crowd was very mindful about letting others have a good view & this included the people up & dancing in front of the stage The band is SO much fun & would totally come all the way back up to Seattle, just to see them again read more

We reserved a suite for a night of relaxation. I was told of the amenities including a balcony. When we arrived we were not greeted and waited for them to check us in. No courtesy carts were available for 20 minutes or more. When we finally got to our "suite" its was a basement level with poor lighting and no balcony. The windows would not even open more than 2 inches. We called front desk to complain and we were moved to an upstairs unit. Why we were stuck in a sub par unit when a nice one was available seemed insulting. The next day we asked for a slightly later check out but were denied because "too many people were already doing so". I feel like we were not as important or worth their time as the other guests. The hallways were cluttered with finished room service trays (some left for hours) and unreturned courtesy carts (probably why we couldn't find one earlier). It made the hotel seem cluttered and dirty. The food was something you would Get at greasy spoon diner and room service had a mandatory tip and fees on top of the inflated prices. The "restaurants" were open to the smoky and noisy casino and the only refuge from the clouds of smoke was a booth far in the back. Only visit here if you are a heavy smoker and gambler. If you are looking for a nice stay and anything resembling courtesy or service. Go to any of the surrounding casinos or hotels. Stay away. Edit: someone was blasting their horn in intervals from 11pm to almost midnight and security did not seem to care. read more

Came here with her on a date, many moons ago and from reading the other reviews, things haven't changed much. Leave it to the Native Americans to open up a hotel/casino along side a major highway that connects Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia. This place is really in the middle of nowhere but the casino was packed on a Saturday night at around midnight. Las Vegas style casinos with craps tables and slot machines but the best thing about the casino was the free carbonated drinks! They have a machine just sitting there! Of course, there wasn't any ice left in the machine but the liquids dispensed by it was pretty cold. The hotel staff were friendly and the rooms weren't that bad. I would have to say that Skagit Valley Casino is the best Casino in Western Washington, they hae a REAL good buffet with a good selection of slots and table games. I just had to roll my eyes at those complaining about the cigarette smoke here, Im like HELLO its a Tribal Casino! Only place that you can smoke in a building is a Tribal owned business, No matter what Tribal Casino I have been in, I can smell the smoke in the building, the worse actually is Lucky Eagle Casino near Roy,WA. Anyway, We saw Collin Raye here and stayed the night at their hotel they have on the property and enjoyed it, everyone here was real helpful. My biggest grip was last time I went to their gas station to refill my soda, the cashier wanted to double charge me as I had a 44 ounce cup! Driving by, this place looks HUGE and fancy. Inside, it is a smaller sized venue with lots of slots. There is free sodas, decent priced food options and a basic card room tables. There is no free welcome gifts for new reward members (other then I think like a $5 slot credit, so what) a major deduction in points in such a competitive casino market, and the slot payouts were very poor. Make the extra drive and go to Angels of the Wind in Arlington, or if you dont like Angels, go to Quil Ceda, Tualip or futher south to Mukleshoot. We went a couple of weeks ago expecting to have dinner at the delicious skillet. Gone and what has appeared is APPARENTLY a high prices "steakhouse" with VERY substandard diner service. Basically all that is on the menu is steak. As I recall the least expensive around $24.00. My man had a New York strip for about $35.00. Served with some sort of mushy barely warm potato. No baked. It came with some sort of " steak sauce" smeared on the top. Waitress was not even sure what it was. No salads to start. I had a $16.00 hamburger - cheapest thing on the menu. Burger was ok. Fries were horrid. Mushy in the center and we were assured they were cut from scratch daily - NO. Cut from a bag maybe. Steak prices go to way over fifty. The furnishings still the same tired Formica tables- no table cloth or even place mats. Took over ten minutes to even get acknowledged. It was awful. Bring back the old skillet with a variety of choices and good service. Not.sure what this casino is trying but it seems to me it had been around far too long to still be searching for itself. My husband and I stayed at the Skagit Resort for our 21st Anniversary. We had a King room. Last time we stayed we had the King Suite but they were all booked. We made reservations a month ahead, thank god, because all rooms were booked. Our room was lovely and very clean. Jasmine did a beautiful job on our room. We missed having the hot tub, but this room did have a good size tub and shower. My husband is 6'6" and he was fine in the tub. The staff at the front desk were eager to help us and very accommodating. The gentleman that helped us was very swert and I wish I had got his name. Check in is at 4 but we were checked in at 1. We stayed the 23rd of February and the place was busy. We will definitely be back. read more

Careful bringing your phone into this casino. Within seconds of getting inside, my phone had been tampered with. I was tipped off to this when my language settings momentarily switched to Spanish and then back again to English. You may also noticed the lack of patrons and empty slot machines all around. Despite the relative peace and many slot options to choose from, these slots are depressingly tight to new players without players cards. I'm not joking, they'll take all your money and you'll get little entertainment value out of it because the speed they rob you. Money's tight over there, so they're gonna want it all very quickly. If you're not yet interested in the downpayment to win that comes with a players card or having your privacy completely invaded, stay away. Sure you'll see regulars with players cards winning here and there, but they've already paid handsomely for that privilege. You may also noticed the lack of patrons and empty slots. My husband and I stayed here for the first time last weekend - we had a terrfic time. The staff in the resort and restaurants was outstanidng! The front desk desk were very engaging and helpful. Dawn in the Market Restuarant was lovely. Food was excellent as well. I am not a huge gambler but the slots are fun ( recommend Grizzly Bear!) The casino isa smoking venue but we were aware - plenty of free sodas and coffee and water throughout. Our suite was just perfect - and the place was immaculate. The Skillet at Skagit has a new menu! We went for dinner and had the Skagit burger ($16). May seem like a crazy price for a burger, but OMG! First, this thing was massive (feeds 2 VERY easily) but that's not the joy of this wonderous burger. The joy is in the flavor. Every single thing is from scratch on site. This kobe beef burger (I know, I know, American Kobe) is a juicy burger cooked to perfection with a hint of char, oh so flavorful. It is topped with Gruyere cheese, a garlic aioli, thick sliced bacon and lightly breaded onion strings on a soft house made bun, that dance on your palate. To accompany it are the most amazingly crispy yet soft thick cut fries and a dish of house made ketchup to dip in (which is the nectar of the Gods), and a tasty and refreshing house made pickle half. After the first bite my husband and I looked at each other with an expression of contentment and happiness. We had finally found the best burger either of us had ever eaten. I was sad after the first bite because I knew I would never be able to have that first bite again, or finish the whole thing. Leaving so much flavor behind on my plate that I wanted crushed me. It was so good my husband asked to speak to the chef, so he could tip him directly and compliment and thank him directly. That is not something I have ever seen him do. All this at a casino! Who would have imagined. Now the restaurant itself is a bit odd. It has a menu of an upscale restaurant, but the decor, lighting, tables etc do not match what they are going for. The fact that we were the only ones there at 8pm on a very busy Friday at the casino suggests the menu and prices are scaring people away (menu has things like $65 steak and lobster). If this place can get over it's identity crisis it shine. I honestly think they need to look at what other nearby casinos are doing (a more casual sit down place) they would have amazing success. The casino has a quick service deli, but the burgers there are crap. They should cut down or eliminate those at the deli and have a burger type place at The Skillet. read more

The Skagit - Music Venues Near Me - Bow, Washington

My stay at the Skagit Casino and Resort was excellent! I stayed at the executive suite at the resort for a fair price it was well worth it. It has a king size bed with a jacuzzi tub right next to the bed to view the tv, a fireplace, a separated from the bathroom , and a nice size living room. Next to my executive suite was a presidential suite . So if you do want to do a family get together I would recommend reserving that to make your stay great. The casino has a great selection from 3 different buffets. The food was excellent. The gaming area was ok I wish it had more variety. The casino had one roulette table I didn't like that. A few black jack tables and the rest were slot machines. My favorite slot machine was wheel of fortune and I played on that for the time being. The environment is super laid back. My husband and I thought this casino and hotel was just ok. We noticed how smoky and hot it was. Staff was very friendly and helpful, however. We decided on Saturday night buffet. Was not impressed...maybe that's why there were so little people eating there. The dungeness crab tasted like it was frozen, oysters and shellfish were dry and we had to wait for somone to reluctantly cut the prime rib for us for about 10 minutes (bread pudding was awesome!). We were impressed with the pool and hot tub! It was nice. The beds and pillows were the worst part. They were hard as rocks. Our night sleep was not comfortable and both woke up not rested. Terrible experience. Went for a concert. The slot machines were broken. Really? A broken casino? Can't pay out? That is insane. OK, fine, we'll have a drink so head over to the bar. Bartender tells us "Don't play the games" - yes I know - then he wanders off, completely ignoring us. We waiting at least 5 minutes for a beer. Bartender spent his time chatting up regulars and ignoring us. In the morning, I thought I might like a Bloody Mary. It was like flavored water. No spice, it seems the tomatoe juice or whatever they used dissappated, because within moments of walking away, it looked like flavored water. I'm not even sure there was vodka in it. I would give zero stars if possible. I purchased 4 tickets to Dennis DeYoung for Saturday night April 21st a month and a half ago. I was notified 3 days ago confirming my tickets and they would be sent to me electronically today. I got a call this morning stating my tickets weren't available and my order was cancelled. They told me that they would refund my money within 5-6 business days. I'm sure they resold my tickets to someone else for more money. I will never step in this place again. read more

I called to book a suite for the weekend my mom and I were traveling across the border. My mom, late Grandma and I always traveled and stopped at skagit casino so we thought well we'll stay there this time. When I called I said I needed a room and asked if they had a suite for three nights. Thursday -Sunday. She said they did and I said great and gave her the visa number to hold the room. We checked in and went to the suite which they said was nice and quiet. It is until someone on the first floor above your room goes into thier room. You can here thier every move. But we thought oh well. Now on Friday we got back after a day of shopping and our keys didn't work. So I went to the front desk and got new keys. Not a huge problem. Saturday we go shopping again and get back aroun 1:30 in the afternoon and I notice all of our bags at the front desk. So I asked the lady at the front desk why our bags are there and she said we were holding on to them. Why? So then she said oh what room were you in? So I told her and she said oh well we only had your reservation for one night. Umm??? Not what I said and what was said to me when I reserved the room. Then she said that if we didn't understand what she was telling us she could get her lead to explain is further. Like we were stupid. If they couldn't get a hold of us by phoning. (We don't answer blocked numbers) they didn't leave a voice mail either. Why couldn't they have told me when I got new keys on Friday? Or leave a mesage on our door or something? No instead they had strangers to us touch our belongings and pack them up in garbage bags! Not only that but they didn't pack everything up so we asked them to double check the bathroom as I had expensive face wash and hair stuff as well as my charger for my iPad. They brought my face wash but said everything else must have been packed because that's all that was left in there. So we take our stuff and go find a different hotel for the night. I unpack all the bags and notice my shampoo and conditioner are missing as well as my charger. So I call back and the lead goes herself to the room. Comes back after talking to housekeeping and they threw out my shampoo and conditioner not cheap! Just because it is a travel size doesn't mean it's cheap and to throw it away! They also said that there was no charger. Well someone has it because it's not in the bags they packed! Security is a joke. Left my machine with my players card as well as a 20 dollar slot ticket still in it. When I realized my mistake shortly thereafter I returned to find the player's card still in the machine but the slot ticket was gone. Upon speaking to customer service at the Rewards Center I was sent to Security who told me that it is considered an abandoned ticket (after running a report to see that the ticket had been taken out of the machine just moments before my return) and there is nothing they can do about it because that ticket was "cashed out". What do they do with all those security people and cameras? What if it had been a $1,000. slot ticket? read more

I visited on a Wednesday evening in Mid-March 2016. I've been to many casinos including most in: Las Vegas, Oklahoma, Atlantic City, & Reno. We were in the area, mainly for the blooming fields of daffodils & tulips to the south. This casino seemed to be on the small side of moderate. Good selection of games. There are some Table games, but maybe only a dozen. Massive Bingo area. Free self-serve Soda. Staff were notably friendlier than most. Player's club card available. You get just $5 when you sign up. It's definitely not Tulalip or Muckleshoot. But If your in the area, it's worth a visit. Hope this helps. read more

Review for Prime Rib, Steak & Crab My brother and I came for the buffet. We were met with very friendly staff. Prime Rib and Steak were both excellent. Seafood selection included Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab, Peel & Eat Shrimp, Fried Oysters, Coconut Shrimp, Baked Salmon & Shelfish mix. Other items on the menu were Roasted Duck, Baked Chicken. All were good. What was really eye opening was the Roast Duck. Super moist and full of flavor. I think buffets are hit or miss but this time it definitely was a hit. read more

The Skagit strikes again! Was in last night. Was told by staff member that if i earned 150 player points on my card, i would receive $15. I asked if it happened to be a double points night. Staff member gleefully said, "yes, it is!" Happily went off and played. Got up, got down. Mostly down. Kept checking my points. When i had played enough to earn 165 points, when to the player rewards counter to collect my $15. Wrong! Now the same staff member informs me that I have only 83 points. WTF??? We came on my friends birthday. I must be used to Muckleshoot because I was stunned they didn't even give her a birthday gift and only double points. At Muckleshoot you get triple points and presents. It looks big from the freeway but when I came in I was wondering where the rest of it was. Its very small with a few tables and slots that don't pay crap. At the end of my visit I only racked up like a 100 points,so even the point pay out sucked.
