I had an extremely late breakfast buffet on Sunday. I decided to take it easy and take in a movie, as there was a promotion to use half your SCENE points towards a regular movie. I wanted something light and saw Melt. I quietly looked at all the offerings. I first thought about getting a milkshake, but have had too many of them as of late. A cone sounded good, but who wants to hear me crunch on that during a movie?! I looked at all the frozen yogurt and fruit popsicles. I knew that I wanted one. I asked the woman what the pink popsicle was in the centre of all the peach ones. It was cotton candy. I selected it. I have never had cotton candy as a popsicle in my life. She said that it had Nerds in it. Even better! I love Nerds. I was thrilled to see that this place offers cookies and baked goods. It also has Sweets from the Earth brownies and cookies. They are vegan and delicious! As you'd expect at Cineplex concession stands, prices are higher, including at Melt. My cotton candy popsicle was over $4 with tax. I was happy to use debit. I wanted to try it out. I thanked the woman and left. In the movie theatre, I savoured my popsicle. It was creamy and not overly sugary. The Nerds were exactly what you'd expect them to taste like. The combination of cotton candy and Nerds worked nicely. There is a huge area at Melt where you can sit down and enjoy your desserts. I would love to do that in the future. You aren't obligated to pay for a movie ticket. You can come here and indulge. I'm a fan. I can't wait to return and sample more yummy items. (459)

Being around this place felt like going back in time- warm sunshine, lots of smiles, and yummy ice cream. As we were going to be eating dinner in about two hours, we decided to order something small. My mom and my cousin each ordered hard ice cream (one scoop) in a cone- my mom picked mint chocolate chip and my cousin chose Dutch chocolate. I ordered a soft serve ice cream (vanilla, small) in a cone and added a flavour burst (rainbow). After a few minutes, our order was called and it was time to eat! The ice creams were larger than what we expected, which was a nice surprise! My mom and my cousin shared that the hard ice cream was creamy and smooth. I also enjoyed my ice cream- it was also creamy and smooth. Plus, I enjoyed a small touch of colour swirling around the ice ream, how fun! A lovely place to drop by if you're in the area! It was the perfect amount of sweetness and tasted amazing with the fresh hot puffs. The blueberry cheesecake was a bit sweeter than I liked but was still delicious. The sugar and the salted caramel were good for more mild tasting flavour. The prices are quite reasonable for what you get and they're always hot and fresh. It's perfect for small bites and easy to share. I definitely would recommend giving this a try!
