Yelp, you've done it again!!! My wife and decided to try a new spot for breakfast today and were pleasantly surprised with our choice. As usual I looked for help from my trusty yelp family and was not disappointed. The Outside -the restaurant is adjacent to a market on a street in Everett I'm fairly certain that I've never been on...lol. It is very unassuming and looks exactly like a place where you want to eat (a hole in the wall). The Inside - the first thing that struck me is how much bigger it is than we expected. You have to order at the counter, so if you like to be doted on I don't suggest you come here. There is a good selection of breakfast options on the menu and for those of you who enjoy vegan food you have options as well. The Staff - didn't have a lot of interaction with staff, but the little we did have was pleasant. The Drinks - ok, so this might be my only complaint. The coffee. The coffee was not a great way to start off our morning. We both felt it was a little bitter and required sprucing to enjoy. This was by no means a deal breaker but needs to mentioned. Also important to note that you have to self serve your water, coffee, and silverware. The Food - my wife ordered biscuits and gravy with over medium eggs. I ordered a sourdough breakfast sandwich to which I added bacon and avocado. My sandwich was delicious!!! The presentation was average, but neither here nor there. The sandwich itself was amazing. The sourdough was toasted to perfection with I believe butter and the ingredients were fresh. What really made this meal stand out was whatever spread they used. Recommend. Now my wife's biscuits and gravy were out of this world. My biggest complaint with biscuits and gravy is always two things: 1. They are so dry that that I have to compensate with heaps of extra gravy. 2. The floury aftertaste of the biscuits. This meal had neither. Now I don't normally order biscuits and gravy, just not my preferred breakfast, but I was very impressed with these. We will be coming back to try other dishes from the menu. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Sisters is part of my weekend routine. I like that you order at the front and refills on coffee/water and utensils are self-serve, allowing you to leave when you're ready. The nut burger is a little salty, but everything else I've tried has been delicious - from fluffy pancakes to the buttery quiche to a creamy clam chowder. This is a relaxing place to enjoy breakfast or lunch at your own pace. They even have magazines that'll transport you back to the 2000s or keep you updated from the 2020s. read more

I decided to have a tuna melt with salad and a slice of warm peach pie, two things I rarely have. They were both really tasty. They had such an array of baked goods I wanted to try them all, and will absolutely try more of them in the future. Besides the food and their assortment of baked good, the other very notable thing was just how friendly everyone was. I have gotten so used to dealing with sub-par service these days and people with a chip on their shoulder, it was really refreshing to be surrounded by people that at least seemed like they actually wanted to be there. Waking up and hungry in Everett, WA brought us to The Sisters Restaurant. Such a delightful restaurant featuring home cooked meals made fresh! As soon as you enter I felt warmth and kindness. I believe this is a family run business. Upon entering you need to order and pay in advance of finding a table. We came in about 10am and the dining area was half full and we easily found a table for four people. Breakfast Burrito - if you are hungry this is for you Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich - perfectly toasted with whole lot of yummy Classic American Breakfast - nothing wrong with eggs and crispy bacon with toast They do say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I'm very happy this place has extended hours now and I'm glad they are doing so well. I've enjoyed a BLT on sourdough and cup of soup twice recently and it was the best BLT I've had in a restaurant. Their soups are always good as well. Last weekend I tried their breakfast menu and that was excellent as well. We ordered the sisters slam and biscuits and gravy breakfast. Both were very good, I wanted to order the hash but in just the first hour of being open they'd sold out. I just recently learned about their dinner menu (I can't believe I didn't know but on the night I had the BLT, as I was exiting. I saw a woman with an amazing piece of pot roast on a plate and asked what that was) that happens after four which includes pot roast, and cheesy grits with shrimp. I look forward to trying some new things soon, if you go there for dinner, be sure to ask for the dinner menu because it's not up on the wall yet. I love the ambience and the fact that it's casual but very charming and homey, I know their desserts are excellent, all the food tastes like real food and there's something very comforting about having a home cooked meal that someone else prepared. We showed up at 6pm on a Saturday. Outside it advertises dinner and 7pm is listed as closing time. Go in and dude tells us he has shut down the restaurant and only pastries are available. Guess we will never get to try this place because we work during the days and can only go out for dinner. Sisters Restaurant is one that I've heard about for years from providers at what once was called The Everett Clinic and is now called Optum Care Washington. And finally, because the Totem Restaurant was overflowing with patrons waiting for their turn, we decided to check them out instead. I was excited, but caught off guard when we opened the door to find people ordering their meals at the bakery counter. After gathering ourselves and kind of watching how others did things, we looked at part of the menu, beautifully written in the board, as well as on the papers in a basket next to the counter. It was finally our turn and after standing there salivating over the baked goods in the glass case. I ordered a quiche and hubby ordered a burger. We both ordered a fancy smanchy coffee drink then went into the dining room to wait for our food. I loved the brick wall as it definitely gave character to this non-traditional (or dare I say extremely historic-traditional) establishment. We first received our coffees which were served in mugs & saucers we would've found in a countryside pantry. Then our food came. It was good, but nothing that stood out I would crave for. We both did enjoy our soups with our entrees. They were both very flavorful . I also decided to try two of the baked cookies. Unfortunately I was sadly disappointed as their flavor was lacking and I didn't even finish them. Overall, I'm glad I can check this establishment off my list. Was looking for a breakfast spot that had some vegan options for me and found this cute restaurant right down the street from my hotel. The ambiance and service was great, super friendly there. My boyfriend had their Denver Omelette and I had their vegan Fluffy Pancakes and it was so good! I also love that they had milk alternatives. I'd recommend this place to eat. Absolutely delicious quiche! My mom and I decided to celebrate Pi day by grabbing a spinach and bacon quiche here for breakfast. It was $16 for a large slice of quiche, a salad, and some potatoes. It was a HUGE amount of food. You order at the front counter before going to sit down, where they have lots of delicious goodies that you can add on. I wanted to try one of everything! Unfortunately they don't serve bagel which is what I was going for that day. So I opt for their mocha coffee with extra shot. It's a great tasting coffee and flavorful. But $10 for a mocha coffee? A little steep in pricing, there's so many local barista coffee shops around that serve equally good even better mocha breve coffee. Service is good and efficient. went with my BFF we split the beet salad absolutely lovely. I had the Reuben and the Borsch very disappointed in the Reuben hardly had any meat and all the reviews said it was so great. I'm just gonna have to keep going to Kirkland to get Good up beautiful grilled ribs that actually has some meat on it. I would like to come back and try it for breakfast, but I won't order the Reuben again. I wondered when they asked for three dollars more for extra meat and I'm thinking why asked three dollars more why don't you just put the meat on it? The Sisters Cafe is a must. It's eclectic, the food is delicious, if you ask for crispy home style potatoes they are indeed crispy!! Almost every table and chair set up is completely different, and just wait until you see the table "number." Downtown Everett makes for an amazing day trip, start at the sisters then explore the fun shops, art galleries, thrift store, and beautiful waterfront views. read more

This is not your typical restaurant. If you want to sit down at a table, you look at the menu, order and pay before you are seated. Once you pay, then you choose where to sit. They were slowly weaning off the breakfast menu and switching to lunch. We ordered a breakfast burrito that came with salad...weird, blueberry pancakes and a burger that came with chips. The food was okay, nothing great, nothing terrible. I just don't think this place is for me. I don't like paying before trying my food, I felt rushed and crowded when I looked over the menu at the front counter and I prefer to avoid restaurants that offer bagged chips as a side. When The Sisters closed down due to the pandemic, we had just moved to Everett and had visited only once. It was so delicious that we went back, and that's when we saw it was closed. We worriedly thought that it was closed for good, especially as the months ticked by. But lo and behold! We went Thanksgiving shopping and found that it was open! When we went in for breakfast, the friendly guy behind the counter said they had been open for a while. I hadn't been to the co-op (or in Everett, for that matter) for a while, so I was out of the loop on the opening. The thing I like about The Sisters is that the vibe is so fantastic and everything is so down-home GOOD. The case full of baked goods always looks tantalizing and I can tell from the taste that everything is made with love. The breakfasts are quality--EVERYTHING is quality, from the grits to the greens and everything in between. We're SO happy The Sisters is open again! We'll be back soon. read more
