It was still wrapped and clearly unused. They returned it very graciously. I had them show me some items that might be better but none were quite right. They had lots of cool items as usual and though we were tempted by some, especially sweets with Valentines coming up, we decided not. But an item I want next Thanksgiving that I missed this year because the only Boulder store with a similar item cancelled their stock this year. I was promised next fall it would be here again and I will get a ride back for sure.

The chemicals have been banned for sale in CO and some other places for good reason. They contain "forever" chemicals linked to disease if transferred to food as pans get old and deteriorate. They can leach when very hot and when pans get scratched, they can chip into your food. You cannot even buy Teflon by mail order to CO and other states with high barriers for environmental health safety. I only had 4 pans but for use when only nonstick will do. They are very old and somewhat scratched. So I set out to look at the newer safer options in very specific sizes. And having had to return something I got that would not serve my needs I decided to shop in person as I had a ride here today. Staff approached immediately and show me some options. We weighed the ease of use and weight and handle comfort of our choices in ceramic non stick skillets. Pans are a lot more expensive these days for many reasons but this store as some at various price points in sizes I needed. After bagging the box the set came in, we saw a few updated bottle caps for wines and champagne that we needed too . Our old stick were too dried and tired to do the job anymore and these are better and well crafted and should all last a long time. We weee lucky we got what we wanted today.. a d more. As someone who is disabled while recovering from spinal fusion surgery I get looks as is, along with only being 24 it doesn't pair extremely well with my age. Essentially being stalked by appearance alone in the store with my wife and I wearing sweatshirts since it was cold, we were looking at some things to decorate our living room with. Going into the store and looking for 5 minutes there was already an Indian lady who came over and started doing the typical corporate training stalking asking if we had questions or what we were looking for when in reality it was a pry to figure out intentions. We had picked up a candle holder and deer, total was about $50 worth of merchandise. This triggered a F NO response with the same indian lady working there and she immediately walked over to my wife and took the 2 things we had picked up out of our hands. Never in my entire life on this earth have I had someone come over and take merchandise out of mine or my SO's hands and said we'll have to buy it up on the counter. I own my own business, am decently well off, and this genuinely p*ssed me off so much we dropped what we had and left the store when we had planned on spending around $200. On the way out, a seperate white lady followed us to the exit without me noticing, and shut the damn door on us. HAHAHA. Never go to this location, ever, ever, ever. I'll order online for now on, considering not even buying from this company anymore for their horrible antics. And to think we were discussing coming there when we had our baby and house, what a god damn joke.

The big box stores now contract out all services, so you don't have any idea who you are getting. The 3rd party service team came out, installed the dishwasher, turned it on & left. After it ran, we discovered the dishwasher door was broken. I called the third party who told me to call the big box store. Big box company said to call the third party, as they had no idea what happened. After multiple calls, I was so frustrated I told the company I wanted to return the product. They come out, de-install it & break one of the water pipes in the process. Now I'm out another $500 for plumbing services to fix what they broke. Mountain High saved the day. I purchased a great product & had a very experienced staff come out & install it. Don't waste your time nor money - just let these guys take care of you.

I was sorely tempted to give MHA a 2-star rating, but I decided not to, mainly based on the…read morepleasant interactions we had with our salesperson, who was nice, and did a good job of following up on our order. BUT, (there's always a but, lol), our recent experience will undoubtedly be our last. We did a complete kitchen remodel a few years ago, got all our appliances from Mountain High, double ovens and a 36-in. gas cooktop. There were issues with that install, but it went more or less OK. The gas cooktop electronics failed about two years into it's life. We had to fight with the extended warranty people to get them to cover it, but after much screaming and gnashing of teeth, the motherboard was replaced. It promptly failed again about a year later. So don't buy Monogram gas stove tops, the electronics are junk. We decided to go back to MHA, settled on a Cafe induction cooktop, and, some time later, were scheduled for installation and haul-away of the old cooktop. We contracted with an electrician, (recommended by our saleslady) to run a 220v line into our house for the cooktop. $1400 for that. $3,825.41 for the cooktop, which included an extended warranty, taxes and a $175 charge for installation, which said, right there in black and white, that that was for a one-time visit, and additional trips would incur an extra charge. More on that in a bit. Finally, installation day came, and guess what? The opening in our granite countertop was EVER SO SLIGHTLY too small. The guys in their installation crew didn't have tools or expertise to widen the opening, and we were told that they DO have people who could do the work, but it would cost SIX-HUNDRED EXTRA. Also, their guys flipped the breakers off on our A/C, and we had no A/C for two days until we figured that out, lol. As noted, we already have a few $$ invested in this. We found a local stone company, Stone Concepts, who came in and did the job for $300. Then we found out that we'd have to pay an additional trip charge of $225 to have their guys come back out, (that was adjusted to $175), which, to be fair, was stated right on our invoice. And I hate to throw the install guys under the bus, but they didn't get here till half an hour AFTER our 2-hr. delivery window. They did get the cooktop installed in about 20 minutes, and no breakers were flipped this time, lol. We feel that Mountain High could have done us a solid, and ate the additional trip charge as a gesture of goodwill and customer solidarity. I know times are tough, but I'm not feeling a lot of love from a company we've done well over $10,000 worth of business with. UPDATE: I spoke with the store manager, Sean, who was very apologetic about our experience, and he explained that usually, they send somebody out to investigate the fitment and the situational aspects of an install/update, but for some reason, that didn't take place in our case. He reversed the trip charge, and did his best to reassure me that they view occurrences like this as teaching opportunities for their team. I want to reiterate that the people we dealt with were as nice as could be, one thing Mountain High can hold their heads up high on, (so to speak, lol.) is their people.

Ashley helped me get the frames ready, checked the prescription from my ophthalmologist, marked what needed to be done, all in a short period of time. She was gracious and professional. Most of the items will be sold in bulk for large businesses, resellers, or large families in order to get a discounted price. As long as you can navigate the aisles, avoid collisions with other customers and know your way around, it should be a hassle free environment.
