Super cute spot! Love that it's queer owned! They host a variety of shows, like battling pianos, performances, and the one I happed to go to: burlesque! Was great energy and the layout was very close in but still felt like there was plenty of room. The lighting was beautiful and the drinks were gorgeous and made very quickly. Loved how on it the staff were. Great sound system in there too. The menu was cool, lots of fun creations with fun names. Parking is a lil rough, circled a couple times before I got something and of course the costs are up. But it's a cool spot to hang out in.

I came to Silver Lining for a burlesque show and dueling pianos! I loved both events. The drinks were delicious and promptly served. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. I like that it has open seating. It allows you to meet new people, especially during events.

I was here for a comedy night. It was really nice, great chill vibe if you are looking for something to do on a week night.

Such a fun place!! Party of 8 for the Friday night piano bar. Had reservations and sat at the bar. Cocktails were served and music was played! We also received complimentary Jell-O shots! There are QR codes to venmo the piano player to make song requests...this won't guarantee your song will be played...but all of my requests were! Will absolutely be back and look forward to other events! Highly recommend!

We checked out this cute little piano bar while pregaming before dinner and a concert last night! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender on duty, William. We ordered The Die Hard Old Fashioned, Anchor + Tree Carajillo and a few beers. I love a good espresso martini and the Carajillo was better than any I've had. It was made with tequila instead of vodka and it was so smooth and it's even made with the coffee from their business neighbor! I could have had 4 of these - they were that good! We didn't try any of their food, but the menu looked and sounded delicious - especially their hot dog! They have live music and a band was setting up when we were leaving! It seems like a pretty busy spot and I'm glad we stopped in to check them out. I'll definitely be in again for that Carajillo!

Don't underestimate this place.

Fantastic hidden gem. William the owner is great and so are to voter two bar tenders we met. I'm only in Sacramento 2-3 times a yea but every time I am, I come here.

Good times. Thanks SL

Ask the Community - The Silver Lining

Thinking of bringing my husband and nineteen year old daughter here for Father's Day. Is this a family friendly venue?

Hi! During my visit there were definitely some adult themes going around that I don't think would be appropriate for young children. I DO however feel that a this would be a great family spot that provides a lot of fun and entertainment for 17+…

Do you need tickets?

Hi! Most of our events are non ticketed. However if you are attending on a Friday or Saturday the events may be ticketed. The Silver Lining brings in artists and musicians from all around. Sometimes we require a ticket for those events to pay the…

Is it accessible for people with walkers?

I think so! I use a wheelchair and I had a pretty easy time.

Fantastic Spot To "Pregame" Shows @ Goldfields Next Door…read more SITREP We descended upon the Tack Room an hour before our show for "Ally The Piper" (both the classical AND heavy metal bagpiper extraordinaire) began her show! THE SETUP Goldfields is a charming, rustic country-western stylized saloon that serves up beer at good prices. But we weren't interested in beer and wanted quality cocktails. Hence, our pivot next door to the Tack Room! QUALITY COCKTAILS & DRINKS! The Tack Room specializes an amazing array of martinis, bourbons, and other deLISH cocktail drinks at really really reasonable prices! So this was an excellent choice to chill, thus avoiding the tremendous *noise pollution* we were immediately subjected to upon entering Goldfields an hour later for our show. THE LOWDOWN This is a quality bar with plenty of comfortable seating to relax and have quiet, intimate conversations. So if you and your later friend(s) want some privacy, cocktails at a reasonable price, etc., this is a good way to go.

It's themed around horse racing, but not in an overbearing or... tacky way. The mixologist was delightful and had great recommendations, the lights were dim, and the drinks were all on point. The highlight was the espresso martini, which is among the best I've had. It was reminiscent of the one I had at the Starbucks Roastery in NYC, which is high praise. The other coffee drink that surprised me was the Revolver. I always forget about what a good pairing orange and coffee is, and I'll be taking this one back home with me to try! Every other drink we tried was delicious in some unique way. The Pho drink was savory and surprising, the New York Sour was rich and flavorful, and the Practical Move was refreshing. Will definitely return here after dinner to sip an espresso martini for dessert!

Came here for a birthday dinner and started at the bar. Love the cocktail menu here, had their take on a Moscow mule. For Tuesday night this place I had a surprisingly large amount of diners. There was a keyboardist/vocalist performing as well which added to the atmosphere. Started with the tartine with topped with triple cream brie, date compote, pistachios. Two pieces of bread were topped with the cheese and toppings, tasty but don't think I'll be ordering this again. Loved the beet salad except for the dressing which was a bit too tart for me. The chicken was interesting with the cucumber salad on top. The coldness of the salad combined with the warmth of the chicken was a bit odd. Beautiful presentation however, I will give them that. Finally the profiterole for dessert presented itself as more of a glorified cream puff rather than the profiteroles that I had in France - smaller puffs accompanied with ice cream. Perhaps my mistake was thinking this would be more traditional. Perhaps they were a bit short staffed this evening, but service was slower than I would have liked. It took quite a while to get someone to take our order and despite making the reservation stating that it was my birthday, nothing was done until this was brought to their attention. We were given two complimentary glasses of champagne however. Would totally return for the bar experience, but for dinner I would try somewhere else.

Happy hour special, the hot dog. This hot dog was AMAZING, hats off to the chef. The chef put mustard, A1 Sauce, and Cholula on it, and it was FIRE! Added two side salads with blue cheese dressing, delicious! Then a Nevada Daiquiri, this is new for me and I really liked it! I tried a Water Lily, and it too is delicious! Kristina, was RIGHT! Tonight is a special night and I've decided to have a ribeye steak dinner in honor of a friend of mine. SERVICE Let me tell you, they KNOW how to treat their customers! They are always on point. And BONUS, they genuinely appear to be having fun, both with each other and the customers. DECOR Comfortable and welcoming like a warm embrace from a dear friend. It is dark in here, real candles (no battery-operated imitations) and it definitely sets the tone as both a lounge and a steakhouse. CLEANLINESS So good in this department! I feel like everyone on staff (ownership included) cares to their bones and makes sure everything is dialed in! LOCATION Perfectly situated in the middle of Broadway Triangle. Love this location! PRICE Reasonable all things considered. OVERALL EXPERIENCE Always a good time! Whether I come alone, with one other person, or with a large party, it's always fantastic. My first time here I came just for drinks with a friend and I enjoyed it so I brought my family back to try them out for dinner. Service was painfully slow. I mean 20 minutes to get drinks in an empty restaurant. The bartender prioritized the patrons sitting at the bar versus the ones ordering from tables. I watched are new people were served at the bar while still waiting for our drinks. Which mind you was a beer, 2 sodas and a whiskey sour, so nothing crazy or time consuming. We ordered our food and it was delivered quickly, as one would assume since you're cooking it yourself. They did forget my shrimp but all good. The steak quality wasn't that great, 3 of the 4 steaks were tough and chewy. There is only one communal grill so keep an eye your food because someone tried taking my shrimp. It can also get full so you have sit around til you can find an empty spot on the grill for your food. Overall, I'd come back for happy hour cocktails but we'll skip the dinner service.
