I visited the MIX Downtown in Sacramento, CA [1525 L St] on Friday, 07/10/26, around 11:30 PM. I was elated to come, as I heard about it being a rooftop nightclub with wonderful music. Upon entering the venue, security personnel did their job per usual by checking ID and bags. Admission for the evening was priced at $15 per person. Apparently, I came on "Flashback Friday," which included a list of Throwback drinks for $5 each. The offerings included Purple Hooter, Cosmopolitan, Midori Sour, and Bay Breeze. I proceeded with getting the Midori Sour, and it was prepared amazingly by one of the bartenders. The selection of the music met expectations for the most part. I was dancing for a total of two hours. The experience was entertaining, including a mixture of music such as Hip-Hop, Latin, etc. There was also a Photo Booth to take complimentary photos. The machine allowed guests to send taken pictures via text messages. The ambiance was very spectacular. I loved the upscale, city-view vibe as a whole. The highlights included the outdoor patio with fire pits and lighting. I'd totally return to the MIX Downtown in the future. read more

Came here for a private event. We had access to both the outdoor and indoor area. The outdoor patio was so spacious and beautiful, just too hot on the day we went. But I can imagine it would be an awesome place to hang out on a cool evening/night. The indoor area was quite spacious as well with a lot of different seating arrangements. The food was very good! I was skeptical whenever you have a whole bunch of food at a "food station". The lamp chop looked a bit dry but was very moist when you actually ate it. The Kobe Beef slider was very tender. The Shrimp with the sweet glaze hit the spot. My absolute favorite was the poke nachos. I can't tell you how many I ate! Staff were constantly clearing plates and glasses from our tables. Excellent food, drinks, and service. Great venue for a private event. read more

AMAZING- This was our first time going to Club Mix and I have to say it was truly a great night. . I usually never write reviews, but i had to give this place some recognition. We called club mix to get some information to book a VIP table. We spoke to Maurice, who was really great. He answered all of our questions and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. We even called a couple more times for additional questions, and he was more than happy to help. When we arrived at the front door we were greeted by Ryan. Ryan has a larger than life personality, wears a cowboy hat and really was great. What I liked about Ryan was he was not like the typical doorman that does not smile, pats you down and treats you like he is the gate keeper to your night. He treated us like a VIP, smiled and had a great conversation with us. He called Maurice to let him know we were there and Maurice came down to greet us and personally escort us to the VIP elevator and to our table. Maurice then introduced us to our server Nicole an they explained the process for ordering Drinks and if we need anything. This is how a VIP should be run. We payed more to sit in the VIP and we felt special. Maurice and Nicole were great all evening and came over to check on how were doing many times during the night and if we needed anything. The Music mix was great as well, bouncing from Bay area Rap and hip hop to top forty, something for everyone. It was a great vibe, and one of the best club experiences we have ever had. When we left, Maurice walked us down and thanked us for coming in, we took some pictures and he said to contact him personally the next time we want to book and he will be happy to take care of us. We have been to clubs all over the world and I have to say this club ranks up their as one of the best in service and Vibe. We will definitely be back. FIve stars!!!! read more

I always had a great time at The Mix Downtown Night Club Lounge celebrating my birthday. Maurice, our VIP coordinator, was excellent and very pleasant. He is very accommodating and always gets back to me very quickly when I have questions or concerns. Liz, our waitress, always gave us excellent service and was very pleasant and attentive. Two excellent VIP booths with some curtain privacy were reserved for me. I adore the chandeliers made of crystal. I adore the overall atmosphere of a rooftop with a fire pit. The dance floor was flawless with great music. The restrooms were consistently kept tidy. "THE PERFECT DRESS CODE REQUIRED" is another aspect of it that I adore. I always had such a great time. He was so personable and nice, this is how you do customer service and he really talked up his job, which makes us definitely want to come back, love the positivity! I have been here a few times for private events and open to public hours and it's a great time. They have had some amazing bands and bartenders are responsive and quick and drinks are made well. Nice outdoor seating with fire pits, bar on the patio as well. Lots of seating, clean restrooms and food is pretty good for a bar menu. With the band it does get noisy. Small dance floor as well. Went to Mix Downtown to celebrate a friend's 21st birthday and the bouncer pushed me and cracked my head open on the curb for asking if my purse was still in the club and drove off when he saw me bleeding. The bouncer was about 6'2/6'3 reddish brown beard, blue eyes, and white, he happens to be the only white bouncer so he definitely stood out. To make matters worse Forrest the manager of the vip section doesn't answer the phone unless you inquire about renting a booth so I did that to tell Forest about what happened in his establishment, he gave me the approval to go look for my bag the next day but did nothing to protect me and let the bouncer who pushed me on the ground follow me around and help me look for my bad and i felt unsafe. There is a DJ by the name of Wednezday. Total BITCH! I came Friday night with over 15 guests. We had just left a wedding and was enjoying the rest of the night with the bride and groom. We had every intention on getting a table and bottle service, but wanted to check out the vibes first. 3x we politely approached the DJ and asked her to shoutout the bride and groom. Each time, she rudely declined. I thought she maybe misunderstood us, so I wrote it on my phone. She got extremely upset that we asked. Keep in mind that after we asked, she shouted out her cousin who was celebrating her birthday. Wednzday, you're an unprofessional bitch. If you don't want to deal with people, don't work at a bar. Mix, you can blame Wednezday that we did not purchase bottle service. Maybe she is only good on Wednesday. We will not be back & I'll make sure to spread the word. read more

On April 26th, I arrive at Mix, downtown. The only way the security was allowing my girlfriend and I in was if she paid them under the table in cash. The security was holding the line, as usual and it was empty inside. We went in & I had already been feeling a bit sick to my stomach (I have endometriosis & I was getting ready to begin my cycle). Also, I ate shellfish that day & I'm realizing my stomach can't handle it. Not sure what end I needed to be sick from, I went to the restroom BY MYSELF. I attempted to put 2 fingers down my throat, and did not succeed. So, I sat there for a while to figure out how to make myself feel better. As I was in the stall, the lady working in the bathroom that hands out paper towels pounded so hard on the stall, the door opened. She told me I needed to "get out!" I came out when I was ready. I observed the bathroom completely clear of any patrons. I began washing my hands and reapplying my lip when I realized 2 Mix Security standing at the bathroom door. I smiled at them and said, "this is awkward." The Security responded to me by mocking me & repeating what I had just said, "this is awkward," very condescendingly. The security told me they needed to speak with me in private. They said they were told that I was getting sick in the bathroom and that they do not allow sick people at their establishment. I explained to them that I had a DISABILITY and that I assumed the restroom was a reasonable place for me to be able to get sick to my stomach. I told them they have no idea what I'm going through right now and I shouldn't have to explain myself as to why I'm in the stall. Their response was that if I'm sick, I shouldn't be at their establishment. They also questioned whether I tipped the lady handing out towels. I explained that I was not contagious and that I have an autoimmune disorder & on medication from cancer that I JUST BEAT! Security guard named Victor told me they have no tolerance for sick people and that I needed to leave. I explained to them that I needed to find my girlfriend that I had left by herself before I could just leave & leave her there by herself. I also explained to them that it was extremely embarrassing that I would need to be escorted out of their establishment from what they described as me "being sick on the toilet." They told me they'd walk behind me from a distance and watch me leave the Mix via elevator. I continued to scan the place for my girlfriend, as well as trying to call her and text her to let her know that I was being kicked out due to my disability. I was still unable to locate her, so I stepped to the side of the elevator, and as soon as I did, that six of the securities rushed me, one grabbed my injured shoulder by the name of Rob or Ron with long black hair. I immediately let him know I had an injured shoulder and that he just assaulted me and he said, "yes I assaulted you get the F out of here." I was not making a scene, nothing. Two more security guards that had no idea what was going on were forced to escort me via elevator and I left, alone. A single female. read more

I have never left a negative review but after my experience last night coming out to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday I need to share. My boyfriend is incredibly humble and I've NEVER seen such blatant discrimination by a company that claims to hold class. I will recommend to all my connections and colleagues in the entertainment industry to avoid this establishment when in Sac for a good time. I'm from LA and have gone out in NYC & Miami as well so I'm not new to dress codes or discretion of the door man. For context, my boyfriend is a previous highly ranked football player and was racially profiled last night upon entering the club because they thought he would bring "violence". They said his shoes "weren't allowed because they don't allow Jordan's but they allow AF1s and Nike dunks". We asked why and they said "because they start fights". We already had multiple friends inside who were shocked when we turned around due to a shoe policy that was not enforced for all of the men inside wearing the EXACT same Jordan. As a company I would review your policies and make sure your staff is abiding by them before you get hit with a lawsuit messing with the wrong one read more

My biggest complaint is the fact that the place closes early. But apart from that the place was nice. They had a patio area so in was open with fresh air, minus the smoke from the cigarettes people were smoking. The security downstairs were super friendly and welcoming which is awesome to see.
