I'm beyond thankful that I found The Shop. I have a slightly older Evoque with trouble, the dealership found I needed my rear differential replaced and quoted me $8.5k, which is crazy considering the value of my car. I did my due diligence, vetting mechanics that could work on my car. Eli and I spoke for a while and he had never seen this happen to a Range with such low mileage and wanted to diagnose it himself. He confirmed that was the problem so we discussed different options - new part, used part or remanufactured part. We chose the later, they replaced it and my car is running like new...in the end they saved me $5k! The Shop did not serve me well. The repair took over 3 weeks with very little communciation of the status. They repaired an oil gaske and a Torque Coverter. The cost for this was as much as a dealer. I own four Rovers and thougt I would give them a try. During the repair they some how were able to get Oil in the alternator so I was left stranged and it towed to another shop. Of course I called them and they would not communicate back similar to the same way during the initial repair. Please use them at your own risk. read more

Six months later when I tried to get an oil change, the express lube said they won't even touch the oil pan because It's so rigged. I called the owner of the company, and he Refuses to fix it!!!!! To add insult to injury, he said that his work is more than sufficient. I have attached photos of the Work and a text involving the owner saying it is completely sufficient. Unreal. The Shop Jaguar and Range Rover specialists, is literally a Godsend. It's a family owned business and Eli, his brother Jose and dad mr. Lopez are some of the most awesome, generous, honest and caring people that have ever come across. I took my classic 2001 Jaguar VDP to another mechanic who only charged me about $2,500 to completely blow my engine and wouldn't take responsibility for it. I went to several other places to get estimates on replacing the engine and the estimates were all between 12 and $15,000 And even at that price, none of them thought that they could even find a replacement engine. Paying over $12,000 for repair was not going to happen. But since I'm not into new cars or having a car payment at all, I just cried and prayed about it. As luck would have it another mechanic from Rod V Rod referred me to The Shop. After Eli spent weeks answering question after question I finally brought it in for them to take a look at it. What I loved was Eli's honesty in saying that he wasn't certain that replacing the engine on the car would actually be worth it, which made me know that even if I didn't keep this car he was going to definitely be my mechanic. As luck would have it Jose ended up finding me an engine with a 30 day warranty. And after checking l my car out further, Eli and his dad Mr. Lopez determined that it would be worthwhile to go ahead and replace it which was going to only be an under $6,000. They replaced my engine in just a few days. There were a few hiccups with some other issues that went wrong on the car but the guys at the shop not only took care of those issues at no additional charge, they went way above and beyond to make things right for me. They literally paid for me to get back and forth in an Uber. When I tell you that if you have a Land Rover or Jaguar and you do not take your car to The Shop, you're not doing life right. These guys are talented, honest, full of integrity and I feel like they are now family. If I told you all the things they did for me, this review would be five pages long. Suffice it to say, I definitely recommend them and as long as I have a car, I will be taking it to The Shop. read more

The shop does really good work and fixed the fuel injector and driveline issue on my Rover. Their prices are fair and very reasonable; especially when compared to the local dealerships. They are just as good as a JLR dealership and I should have taken my 2010 rover their years ago instead of the dealership. read more

I spoke with Amy about a timing chains job. She said it would be at least a month. The Shop recommended a new engine because a timing chains job wouldn't fix the problem. The car was dropped off the evening of 03/20/23. About a week goes by, and I called for an update. The car had just been pulled in to be looked at. Once they figured out the problem, the first warranty adjuster checked the car out and wanted them to do a timing chains job only. The Shop expressed their concern that this solution would only result to more problems. About a week or so after the adjuster came out, I called for an update and she says that they are waiting for a second adjuster. Communication between The Shop and the warranty company was not good at all. Throughout this process, I called the warranty company multiple times to find out that they were waiting on The Shop! A second adjuster was called out and he sided with The Shop with going for replacing the engine. GREAT NEWS! After about 11 or 12 days after finding out the engine would be replaced, I called The Shop to check on the progress of the switch. Amy tells me that she hadn't heard from the warranty company with the approval so they hadn't even started. I called the warranty company to see what was going on and explain that the repair shop is waiting to hear from them and the representative replies with the date they called, who they spoke with, and the message they left with the person at The Shop. I called The Shop to let Amy know what was said by the warranty company and she apologized stating she didn't get the message. This was the first time. The call to the shop was made to The Shop from the warranty company about 9 or 10 days prior to me reaching out for an update. This happened twice! The warranty company reached out to The Shop about something else, but Amy had not received the message. Once they started working on the car, all these suggestions were made about replacing different parts that would go bad sooner rather than later and it was just best they be replaced while the vehicle was being worked on. I agreed to getting new parts. On 06/14/23, the vehicle was ready for pick up. On my way home, the check engine light pops on. Huh? I called The Shop and made them aware. I took the car back to them the following Tuesday (06/20/23). They had the car for at least 10 days because I was out of town, but I had not received one call or text concerning the car and when I call them for an update Amy tells me I need to come get it to drive it to put some miles on it for the Modules to upload. Why they didn't call me, I have no idea! I get the car, drive it for about 120 miles and return it. She then texted me the next day telling me that I have to pay for a diagnostic on the vehicle for them to look at it. Why I would be responsible for that, I don't know but I paid. As a courtesy, I would think that they would have just taken care of it. The next call I get was Amy explaining that an airflow something valve needed to be replaced and the job was 13 hundred dollars. Okay! Do the job. The job was completed and when the car was picked up, the check engine light comes back on! At this point, it is 08/04/23 and they still haven't fixed the car correctly. Finally, since I wasn't getting answers but getting charged, I decided to take my vehicle to Land Rover of Gwinnett to have it checked out. The issue was another valve. I called Amy to let her know what Land Rover said. She said they could take care of the valve, but I wouldn't even be able to drop the car off until the following Wednesday which would have been 08/16/2023. I decided to let Land Rover complete the job for a little under $300 and be done with it. The Shop had my vehicle for 137 days and I have paid out $5,930.21 to leave with unknown issues is extremely unacceptable. There is no way I was willing to pay for them to guess again at what the issue was and be incorrect about it. One 08/10/23, Land Rover completed the valve replacement and vehicle has no lights and is running just fine. Thank You Land Rover of Gwinnett! read more

I'm really p____d off!!! I took my Jaguar here to be fixed cause of my antifreeze was leaking & my restricted performance light came on intermittently & this place was recommended to me cause nobody likes to work on Jags. Needless to say I am $1700 plus in the hole with a car that still isn't fixed. To add insult to injury I called John on my way home to let him know that it was still not working right after taking it back for the second time & I got no answer so I left a voicemail & still haven't received a call back!!! I am going to proceed to the next step cause I don't have almost $1800 to throw away and a car that has a supercharge but runs like a 4 cylinder vehicle. The first red flag was that everyone needs windshield wipers. Their work is sub par, the last straw was when I went in after my seat wouldn't work I'm 5' and my husband is a foot taller then me. They jumpstarted the seat to bring it back and charged us 2 hours of labor for 15 minutes of work. Brandy is awesome, the guy is a talker and the mechanics are mediocre at best. read more

I imported a Defender 110 and had another shop in the southeast do some work on it. They were ok. However, when I brought it to The Shop, they sorted out many things with the engine, transmission, and other areas that simply were not done right the first time and others could not. What it taught me was that at The Shop, they have the talent and expertise that other places in the southeast simply do not. if you have a Defender needing to be sorted out - The Shop is the place bar none! read more

Unreliable performance. I took a recently purchased mid 80s LR 90 in for assessment and work. Neither the assessment nor the work was done in remotely the time frame given, nor was there any interaction with the mechanics to explain the scope of the recommendations or the work that was actually performed. After several months of the Shop having the truck, several thousand dollars in bills and numerous missed promises of a date of completion, I finally had to retrieve the vehicle to take it somewhere else, which stalled out on the way home. I'm used to owning cars with specific maintenance issues such as Rovers, but in my opinion the sign of a good mechanic, is that you leave the experience richer in understanding the vehicle. This shop is AWESOME!!!!! I have called several shops before being referred to "THE SHOP". They have EXCELLENT customer service. I love the fact I could bring my vehicle there and know they are not ripping me off because I am a female. I was talking about how I love the shop to my coworker and come to find out, he gets his Range Rover serviced there too. There prices are no where near what the Range Rover dealership charges. Beware of "The Shop"! An elderly lady dear friend of mine took her mini van in for overheating issues. "The Shop" said she needed a new radiator (correct), new spark plugs and wires, new brakes on all 4 wheels, said oil was leaking and needed to be fixed, new battery and a host of other random things for a total of over $3,200. She called me ( a Pastor friend ) to go with her to check on all of this. I personally reviewed what "The Shop" said was wrong and immediately knew they were taking advantage of an elderly lady with a severely handicapped son in a wheelchair! We immediately had the van towed to an honest & reputable auto shop. They fixed the leaking radiator and thermostat issue for $800 and said NONE of the other things "The Shop" said were true at all. They are total scammers! Anyone that would intentionally take advantage of an elderly lady with a handicapped son in a wheelchair needs to be reported to the better business bureau. The Shop is the worst car service that we have ever experienced. We took our 2011 Range Rover Sport to first get it "diagnosed" it for $125. They determined that it needed a new timing chain. We were told that by the previous repair place. We made an appointment to bring it in and at that time we gave them a deposit of $3500. They told us 2-3 days. Almost 2 weeks later, they finally had it finished, another $5300 NOT finished. We had ask them to also change the oil, they did not. Headed downtown for the weekend, the check engine light comes on and its running like it wants to quit at anytime. Yep, take it back to The Shop, fuel injectors were bad. Another $1000. Get it home and crank it up and there is a knocking noise around the fan. Yep, take it back down to the shop. Another $800. Keep in mind that we never ever had an issue with this car until they touched it. Still not running smoothly as it was before we took it to the shop. read more
