Steve and his crew are absolutely the best. I inherited a 2005 BMW from my Daddy and although he'd kept it garaged, it needed a fair amount of TLC under the hood. The prices I got at other dealerships / facilities were literal insanity. I could've bought a new car for what they wanted. I explained to Steve the sentimentality of the vehicle and that I needed it to be reliable and fully functional, but that we weren't taking it to Mecum's ! He has been honest and more than fair! I will always bring my car to Steve! The ONLY issue I'd say is that everyone is finding out about Steve, and sometimes it's hard to get in quickly so we simply need to clone Steve!! German Motor Works had been recommended highly from several neighbors in the area. I was not disappointed. I brought my BMW in for regular service maintenance and will be a regular customer. Previously, I'd been taking my auto in to the dealership (Gwinnett BMW) and there was zero customer service (last time I took my car there, they kept it for a week and contacted me to come in twice and just left me in the waiting area hours on end...not a good experience). German Motor Works was top notch. Called as a new customer, came in, dropped off. Got a call with details on all repairs and picked up my car later that day. All services done at hundreds less than the dealership. Steve was very helpful and the entire experience was top notch. My only regret was not finding this place sooner! read more

Very happy I found German Motor Works. I had gotten an estimate elsewhere that seemed off, came here instead and they got my 328i fixed up great for only $300. Steve gave me some great advice and was very up front about what I should and shouldn't fix and what was most urgent. I will definitely be making this my primary shop for my BMW. read more

I have taken my car to this shop several times for various work and they are always up front and clear on the work that needs to occur. They explain what I need and what I don't need and are cost conscious of what I can afford at the time of the work. This place is horrible. They'll "fix" something to get your money, they'll break something else and not tell you they did. They'll loose nuts and bolts, partially reassembling your vehicle. The customer service isn't. They are incompetent. Unfortunately, I couldn't post without giving one star. This don't deserve it. read more

I took a chance on German Motorworks, despite the mixed reviews, because Jim Ellis VW wanted an ungodly sum of money to repair a (self-inflicted) suspension issue. Steve got me all the detail I needed, I knew what parts I needed from the dealer's inspection - a service that I paid for, this is not unethical. Steve's price was about half that of the dealer. Actually, in discussing the parts breakdown, we discovered where he was being overcharged for a part (from the dealer) and he fought to get the part cheaper - passing the savings on to me! That's unheard of these days!! I never actually met Steve until I went to pay for and pick up the car, though I talked to him about a dozen times and he was always available. Car drives fine and came in spec on the alignment, got it all done in about a day. Happy customers. read more
