Beef & Blue salad - roast beef, blue cheese crumbles, candied walnuts, tomatoes and croutons over lettuce. I chose blue cheese dressing...

This is the same owners and same restaurant as The Village Butcher. The Butcher burned down. A few months later Jim & Summer Gaskin re-opened a few doors down (same side of the street) as The Shop Eatery. The restaurant is larger than the Village Butcher, has seating inside, and they are now open for breakfast in addition to lunch. I had been going to The Village Butcher for years, it's nice to see them re-open in this new location! If you are not a fan of parallel parking (I hate it, personally), then go down the alley right by the restaurant and park in the community parking lot behind their building... Great food at more than fair prices. My personal favorite is anything they make that includes their roast beef, but I've never had a bad meal there. They are very accommodating -- you can build your own sandwich or salad in addition to the ever-changing daily specials.

    Bbq chicken flatbread. Very yummy!

Our server at least gave us the mistake the first time, so we had something to eat while we waited. Even if she paid no mind to drink refills or the desserts we ordered which never arrived. However, the second time we had to wait an hour for our food. Meanwhile, watching tables that came after us receive, eat their food, and leave before we even got our food. Our server also avoided us to the point where I had to get my own drink refill from the bar. Onto the food- tots, fries, and chips? All amazing. Wings? Can't go wrong. Except when everyone's order gets put in the same basket who wants bbq sauce on their buffalo wings. Cowboy sandwich? We've had better but no complaints. Everyone also loved the coconut shrimp. Also, very cool environment to be able to watch planes take off and land when they actually do.

We had a special occasion to celebrate, so I reached out to Casa De Empanadas to inquire about their catering menu. I hadn't realized they were closed for Memorial Day, and I figured we'd have to make other plans. To my surprise, they didn't just respond--they went above and beyond. Even though they were closed, they asked what I needed and made arrangements so I could pick up the food on Memorial Day. And the food? Absolutely delicious. The empanadas were perfectly crisp and packed with meat, and the Spanish rice was just the comfort food we were hoping for. It made our celebration feel even more special. Casa De Empanadas isn't just about great food--they showed me it's about people who care. I can't recommend them enough. 5 Stars - A small town gem with heartfelt service! We stopped at Ozgood's, it was about 12:30pm. It was surprisingly busy for the rainy day & thoughts of those out for celebrations tomorrow. We waited in the corridor for about 10 minutes while two large parties were seated. Then we were sat in a back booth. We did not have a reservation. We were hungry and ordered fairly quickly. For how busy they were we only waited about 20 minutes for food. Our server was nice, quiet but attentive. Never felt like we weren't being checked on. All together- I had the Habanero Bacon Jam Scallops, Mom had the Ozgood's Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, my Hubby ordered the Pot Roast Grilled Cheese with Fries. Hits and Misses in the food. The bacon jam was gooey, without that punch of pepper or bacon as hoped for. And the scallops needed 30 more seconds on the heat. I like raw scallop, so didn't mind it. But for a normal patron's palate these would have been undercooked. Also these were not super fresh. My husband pot roast sandwich was good. The banana peppers gave it pizazz, as well the gravy for the fries- nice touch for a dip. My Mom's burger was ok. And sweet potato fries tasted out of the box. One surprise was this cocktail! Mom and I shared and both loved it!! I did not catch the name- but it had gin and blueberry syrup. Now I need to find blueberry syrup for a cocktail. This was refreshing, punchy and sweet. Upping this review to a 4-star for the quick service and cocktail. Ozgood's has been around for a long time and makes sense why. It's solid, not standout. But worth a visit.
