Excellent food! The three people in our party all loved every bite of their meals. We have never had such juicy and flavorful chicken and one stated that the Chicken Pot Pie was the best they ever had. The crab soup was absolutely delicious and just perfectly balanced in seasoning- just perfect for a dreary, rainy day. The corn fritters were amazingly tasty too with a crunchy exterior and the sweet, creamy corn inside. The portions were ample and reasonably priced, especially for the quality of the meals! Everything tasted fresh and was much better than what we expected! The wait staff was prompt, pleasant, and friendly. We didn't wait long for service and empty plates were swiftly removed without the feeling that anyone was hovering. While the ambiance of the location could use a bit of updating, like a retouch of paint, the entire experience was pleasant and worth the 40+ minute drive. We will certainly be back again in the future.

Just one of four pages of delightful PA Dutch food choices. - The menu from a Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant offers a selection of traditional dishes including baked ham, grilled chicken breasts, BBQ chicken, honey mustard chicken, and breaded veal cutlet. It features specialty items like chicken cordon bleu, meatloaf, and PA Dutch chicken bowl. The menu also includes combo platters with options like breaded chicken, smoked sausage, and roast beef, served with two side dishes. Prices range from approximately $12.95 to $16.95, with additional options for extra bacon or sides. The menu emphasizes hearty, classic American and PA Dutch cuisine.

While returning to GA from a trip to NY we met my daughter (Terry) and grandson (Logan) at the Deitsch Eck. It's in an old building with an incredible menu of selections - much like a diner. The service was good and the food enjoyable.

My wife and I were looking for an authentic Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant while passing through Pennsylvania and, boy howdy, did we find one! These folks serve wonderful food and are extremely hospitable and efficient. It's just off I-78 and very easy to get to and then get back on your way. I had the combo and, in my case, that was a perfectly done smoked sausage locally made and a chicken breast with a cheese crab sauce which may be the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. It came with 2 sides. My wife had dessert and that was a coconut pecan pie. (and the better part of my order of fritters. Delicious.) The menu is large and varied so you're bound to find something that you like. Anyway, do yourself a favor if you're in the area and pay these folks a visit. You will not regret it.

Iceberg lettuce with hot bacon dressing, a Dutch staple - A white bowl filled with chopped lettuce and salad dressing is placed on a table with a white tablecloth. A person wearing a red shirt is holding a fork with a piece of lettuce and dressing, positioned above the bowl. The image captures a casual dining scene focused on a simple salad.

The Finest People in the business! Celebrated 30th wedding anniversary last Thursday The food compares to the finest restaurants in the world without exaggeration. Welcoming, quaint, and delivered by the best waitress ever, with a little help from the chef owner Steve Stetzler. We consider you "family".

Shepard's Pie, Dutch potatoes, pepper cabbage for starters! Oh and the fritter sampler, corn, apple and potato!

So why a five star? Because all the checks were met: food, service, location, atmosphere and price!! Thank you yelpers for your reviews - without them we would have not tried this restaurant. Understand this is not a chain, it's a small town restaurant with good quality, homemade food and service so the interior promotes its heritage. We had the fritter sample, Shepard's pie (not greasy!), and the BEST Ruben sandwich (not fatty nor greasy). Dessert was homemade apple Carmel crumb pie a la mode and strawberry rhubarb custard pie- oh yeah, we were full!!!! Loved this hidden treasure, a short distance from route 78!

This was the perfect place to stop at lunchtime on our road trip to the Poconos. Very old school and cute. I wish I had had a chance to try the desserts! The Potato Filling was delicious. Bacon dressed salad was great but over dressed - just ask for it on the side. The apps are great - fritters - wow! Potato pancakes - so yummy, and HOT! Recommend the fresh sausage! To top it off, the sauerkraut is terrific. Perfect blend of sweet and sour. It's just the place to have good food on a trip, a much better choice than a chain!

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.

Thank goodness we planned some flexibility after the meal before our show started. But the real downer of the meal was Alison. Our server had such an attitude... while the food was pretty good, she was not. The place was also too loud and had no vibe. The bar crowd spilled into the seat area and looked messy. Wouldn't go back.
