Oh my gosh!!! I wish i would have found Devin sooner! Several of my knives were so dull they were getting dangerous to use. There's truth in that "a dull knife with cut you easier than a sharp one." Mice en place was getting so taxing that I didn't realize my dull knifes were the reason I wasn't enjoying cooking as much as usual! I had tried to locate a sharpener in Austin on a few occasions; however, they were very inconvenient (i.e., far away and they had to be left for several days and picked up) and/or unacceptably expensive. Devin's mobile service hit all the marks. Found him at the Lone Star Farmer's Market in the Hill Country Galleria one day [check his SM for locations]. He charges by the inch and provides great customer care above and beyond any expectations. I retrieved several of my knifes from my house and vroom...back to Devin's mobile work station before he shut down for the day. In less than an hour, and under 100 bucks, he had my knives sharper than the sword in "My Bodyguard." Truth! And, he had them all neatly wrapped in a perfect little package. Thanks again Devin! He has designated drop-off days at the Fancy Tiger craft store in baker, where you can leave your knives in a locker with a simple form completed (located at the store, also), and he will sharpen everything within a day. Recently had Devin sharpen all my dull knives, scissors, crafting tools and gardening tools. It had been a while since I had them sharpened, due to COVID and no knife sharpeners in our area. Because we had so many items, he actually came out to our house in his mobile van which was great. All the tools that he worked on are very sharp and I don't have to work to cut anything. Devin worked a MIRACLE on my beat up kitchen knives. I always forget what sharp knives feel like: you don't have to throw your elbow grease into every slice. You don't have to hacksaw back and forth. Call this man, you will not be disappointed! I am a retired hobbyist woodworker. I use power and hand tools and I need my hand tools to be in great shape. While I have many sharpening options available, my thought was to start from a highly sharpened condition. From there it will be easy and quick to do touch-up sharpening and not slow down my productivity. The Sharpest sharpened a set of Narex bench chisels (good quality but not a premium set) and two mortise chisels. Wow, was I impressed. My husband and I enjoying cooking at home and sharp knives are essential for making good food more easily. I had bough a Chefs Choice 110 some time ago and it was ok. When a friend told me about Knife Party I wanted to see if they would be better than what I can do at home. What a difference. They sharpened my chef's knives, paring knives, but they also sharpened my bread knife and utility scissors. I have really noticed a difference in the performance of my knives. They live down the street from us in Hyde Park and were very professional, very reasonably priced, and kinda cute to boot. It's great they can come to you. You just give them your knives, they take them outside to their equipment so you don't have to hear any loud knife sharpening. I finally took the plunge and had my knives sharpened after years of using a steel to dress the edge and then finally trying to sharpen one myself using a home sharpening product which was a waste of time and money and probably did more damage than good.
