Oh my gosh!!! I wish i would have found Devin sooner! Several of my knives were so dull they were getting dangerous to use. There's truth in that "a dull knife with cut you easier than a sharp one." Mice en place was getting so taxing that I didn't realize my dull knifes were the reason I wasn't enjoying cooking as much as usual! I had tried to locate a sharpener in Austin on a few occasions; however, they were very inconvenient (i.e., far away and they had to be left for several days and picked up) and/or unacceptably expensive. Devin's mobile service hit all the marks. Found him at the Lone Star Farmer's Market in the Hill Country Galleria one day [check his SM for locations]. He charges by the inch and provides great customer care above and beyond any expectations. I retrieved several of my knifes from my house and vroom...back to Devin's mobile work station before he shut down for the day. In less than an hour, and under 100 bucks, he had my knives sharper than the sword in "My Bodyguard." Truth! And, he had them all neatly wrapped in a perfect little package. Thanks again Devin! I'm back in the kitchen and loving it. :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Excellent service. Devin is very personable. Beautiful sharpening of 4 knives. More than beautiful; really sharp. Very reasonable prices. Came to our neighborhood. My only regret is that I did not take more knives to be sharpened. P.S. No one gets 5 stars on first visit. read more

I have brought 3 different types of pointy things to The Sharpist and there is nothing he can't handle. He has put a better bevel on my kitchen knives, took the rough scratch pattern to a mirror polish on my Case pocket knife, and removed nicks from my axe blade. 11/10 would recommend. read more

We have some really nice knives but, as happens, they became fairly dull and some had damaged sections. I was delighted to find The Sharpist to not only do a fantastic job sharpening and repairing our pro-style knives but also to do so right outside of our home in his specially equipped van -- in a matter of hours. We were dreading being without our knives for any length of time and this fully alleviated our concerns. In short, we could not be happier and will definitely use The Sharpist again. read more

I was looking for someone to sharpen two vintage Foster Bros knives that I had and I am so glad that I found The Sharpist! I contacted Devin through Yelp and inquired about the process, he responded promptly with information on his pricing and his process as well as how I could find him at the Cherry Creek farmers market. Devins pricing is terrific, he's a friendly guy, but most importantly, the knives were returned in tip top shape and so SHARP. I didn't know what sharp was before experiencing Devin's work! Thanks so much Devin! read more

The Sharpist is awesome. He comes right to your door to sharpen your shears. He also does surgical and kitchen utensils. He is super professional and affordable. I love the convenience of not have to send my shears in and have to grab at a later date. Just a one stop shop! Woop! read more

Devin was extremely easy to get in touch with (messaging on yelp) and provided clear instructions on the process. He has designated drop-off days at the Fancy Tiger craft store in baker, where you can leave your knives in a locker with a simple form completed (located at the store, also), and he will sharpen everything within a day. Payment was easy via Venmo and it was all very reasonably priced. Quality of service was top notch! My knives (including a serrated bread knife) were incredibly sharp. Worth every penny and will absolutely have him sharpen my knives in the future! read more

Recently had Devin sharpen all my dull knives, scissors, crafting tools and gardening tools. It had been a while since I had them sharpened, due to COVID and no knife sharpeners in our area. Because we had so many items, he actually came out to our house in his mobile van which was great. All the tools that he worked on are very sharp and I don't have to work to cut anything. He also oiled some of the handles on some older knives I had and that was wonderful! Devin was pleasant and great to work with, plus he was on time. Will definitely use him again and keep his nose to the grindstone! read more

Devin worked a MIRACLE on my beat up kitchen knives. I always forget what sharp knives feel like: you don't have to throw your elbow grease into every slice. You don't have to hacksaw back and forth. These came back better than brand new. And beyond that- he's got the contactless process down to a science. He will come to where you are, pick up from your porch, sharpen LIKE A BOSS, and then drop them back off clean and rearing to go. I will be using his services regularly from here on out, and singing his praises to my family and friends. Plus, it's totally affordable. Why did I wait so long to get around to doing this?!? Don't make my mistake. Get chopping, dicing, slicing like it's your job. Highly recommend! read more

My grandfather's knife was revitalized to the beauty it is. Devin sharpened and oiled it down about 3-4 months here in Austin, and it's still as slick as ever. Treat your sharp objects to some love! read more

Devin is amazing! He was very quick to respond to my initial email about setting up an appointment and was able to come sharpen our veterinary instruments within a week. Devin was very nice and did an outstanding job sharpening. He sent initial pictures of one of our dental tools before and after sharpening and kept in great communication throughout his stay. Highly, highly recommend. Will be using him for future surgical sharpening needs! Thank you, Devin! read more

I used him at the Cherry Creek Darmers market. He did an excellent job on my client's expensive knives. He was friendly and fast too!

I can only personally speak to customer service - and he was amazingly prompt, honest, and helpful. As I won't have the minimum # of pieces for his mobile services, I'm excited to visit him when farmers markets start again. I can say, however, that good friends just used him and are RAVING about the service. These are literally chef-quality cooks who are impossible to buy for as they have everthing; the gift of knife sharpening was something they will never forget! read more

One hour turn around for 6 knives....2 of which were serrated all for about $35 All the knifes they did are now super sharp and I couldn't be happier. Super friendly service and fast ! I'll be taking more knives here in the future. read more

I've been dying to get my sewing scissors sharpened for ages, so finally pulled together all of my kitchen knifery, partnered with my Dad to meet the minimum piece quantity, and booked Devin. So communicative, on time, and completed the order so quickly! All of my knives, sewing and paper scissors, and even my old rusted over antique pinking shears- so sharp!! I am so impressed. Devin will be my go to whenever I need something sharpened again in the future :) read more

What a lovely person and a great service! I had a number of pairs of tweezers that were useless but I was tired of buying new ones when they got dull. I'm new to Denver and was lucky enough to trip on Devin's website. Very few people are willing to bother with tweezers but Devin was quick to responds, super nice, and did an amazing job!!! He was professional, efficient and very reasonable. If he can do magic with tweezers, I can't imagine what he can do with knives but I'm sure I'll find out. Stoked that I found him! read more

Very knowledgeable sharpener! I have what some would call am obsession with knives and have anything ranging from Japanese Masamoto to Bob Kramer's. I need to trust the person working on my set especially given my investment. I hand sharpen my knives from time to time. But if I'm being lazy or don't have the time, this is your guy to trust. He uses a diamond wheel and will even oil your handles if need be. Also he's mobile...it's a win/win! read more

Call this man, you will not be disappointed! I am a retired hobbyist woodworker. I use power and hand tools and I need my hand tools to be in great shape. While I have many sharpening options available, my thought was to start from a highly sharpened condition. From there it will be easy and quick to do touch-up sharpening and not slow down my productivity. The Sharpest sharpened a set of Narex bench chisels (good quality but not a premium set) and two mortise chisels. Wow, was I impressed. The chisels look almost too good to use [that's unlikely : )] Among the four hand planes he worked on was my restored $36 1902 Stanley smoothing plane. Beautifully sharpened iron and flat sole. As were the three other planes. I couldn't be happier. Try The Sharpest, you will be pleased at the service and reasonable prices. read more

The Knife Party! boys worked a large, joint clothing swap and knife sharpening event my friends and I hosted. They did a fantastic job of sharpening everything from pocket knives and kitchen knives to hatchets and swords (including a6-foot katana!), and they worked tirelessly for hours. Guests ended up congregating around the Knife Party! setup to chat with this jovial and entertaining duo, and everyone left happy with the quality of service they received. A++ Would definitely use again! read more

I've struggled a bit finding a sharpener in Austin - but no longer. I wholeheartedly recommend Knife Party! Mobile Sharpening. Pleasant company while he did the deed and my knives have never been sharper. I couldn't be happier - thanks, Devin! Support this local musician's sharpening habit and keep him in Austin. He also knows a thing or two about bees. read more

Devin is great! He did an amazing job on my knives and scissors, they are just like new!! I will use Devin for all future sharpening needs!

Knives are amazingly sharp and Devin was great - responsive and punctual - will definitely hit him up again in a few months!

This guy is a master. I have never laughed out loud while cutting (effortlessly, mind you) through well-ripened tomatoes. My knives are THAT sharp. And he's nice to boot, which makes this fun. I encourage all to visit him at the Bee Cave farmer's markets on Sunday mornings, or make a call. If he sharpens scalpels for local hospitals, you know he's good. And I'll do whatever I can to keep local artisanry like this alive. read more

Devin is filling a big void in all of our knives. Frustrated by dull blades on your kitchen knives and scissors? Well now thanks to Devin I can confidently and safely slice through the toughest tomato or hardest squash. He even re-edged a blade that was knicked and chipped to restore it its brand new look. Craftsmen live Devin are rare and anyone is would be lucky to have him restore your blades to their proper cutting glory. read more

My husband and I enjoying cooking at home and sharp knives are essential for making good food more easily. I had bough a Chefs Choice 110 some time ago and it was ok. When a friend told me about Knife Party I wanted to see if they would be better than what I can do at home. What a difference. They sharpened my chef's knives, paring knives, but they also sharpened my bread knife and utility scissors. I have really noticed a difference in the performance of my knives. They live down the street from us in Hyde Park and were very professional, very reasonably priced, and kinda cute to boot. It's great they can come to you. You just give them your knives, they take them outside to their equipment so you don't have to hear any loud knife sharpening. I'm gonna call them up to see if they can sharpen my lawn mower and my Felco garden shears. read more

Devin did an amazing job on my knives! I would recommend him to anyone looking for knife sharpening. He came out to my house because I didn't want to travel with 50+ sharp objects in my car. I finally took the plunge and had my knives sharpened after years of using a steel to dress the edge and then finally trying to sharpen one myself using a home sharpening product which was a waste of time and money and probably did more damage than good. Anyway, Devin did an amazing job putting an edge back on my knives. He was able to put a new point on one I had dropped and broke the tip off of. I think my knives may be sharper now than when they were new! Cooking last night was more enjoyable. Prep was so easy with my chef's knife just slicing right through produce with ease. read more
