I am so happy with the entire transaction of getting my Oster clippers fixed. I usually went to the clipper repair store by my old neighborhood, and now it is to far to travel there. I could not believe the results in Google when I searched for clipper repairs in my new neck of the woods. The Blade Lady really grabbed my attention and I reached out for service. I was happily met with a text message (my favorite way of communication!!!)!! Blade Lady scheduled to meet and pick up my clippers rather quickly. The same afternoon I gave her my clippers, I was sent a video of my clippers being repaired and a full list of parts that it needed!! I felt very confident with the repair work, even more so because I was able to see them being repaired by video. The Blade Lady is very respectful and professional. I felt badly because I was bit late meeting for the final pick up. But I was met by the Blade Lady with professional and gracious composure. And the cost was less than I have paid in the past, I have shared of my experience with many of my Salon friends already. The Blade Lady is the way to go!!!! Feels like I have new clippers, Thank you so much!!! read more

Several years back I had a friend snap off the sheepsfoot blade tip on my 1970's Schrade+ 885UH Uncle Henry King Ranch Stockman pocket knife while trying to remove a snapped off wooden dowel in our rocking chair, which he also managed to break, a true comedy of errors. The broken tip has nagged at me for years, and I recently found The Blade Lady on the internet to inquire about the possibility of a repair. After sending Jennifer several photos of the damaged blade, she provided me with a ridiculously low restoration price and also followed up with me several times which encouraged me to mail it in for repair. The results was spectacular and my knife is back to looking mint! The turnaround time was lightning fast! The broken blade was professionally fixed and sharpened. And she also sharpened the other 2 blades as a courtesy, at no additional cost! Jennifer is a true craftswoman, and a credit to her trade! A true, Last of the Mohicans, in today's culture of schlock and lost skills & tradesman ship. Reach out to The Blade Lady for all your sharpening and reprofiling needs. read more

I have to admit that after receiving a set of knives as a wedding gift 16 years ago I never thought about having them sharpened. I guess I never understood the importance of doing such a thing. After seeing glowing reviews of the Blade Lady's work I decided that it was time to get several pieces that I use on a daily basis to get sharpened. WOW is all that I can say. First off I contacted the Blade Lady via a facebook message. She was quick to respond and made the entire process easy as pie. I simply dropped off a bag of knives wrapped in a kitchen towel off on her doorstep and the next day they were returned on my doorstep. I also received instructions on how to clean and care for my newly sharpened knives. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and was very surprised to notice such a difference in slicing, dicing and simple cutting food items. Not sure why I waited so long to have my blades sharpened. She really is a true Blade lady!! Awesome! Thank you and I will continue to use and refer my friends and family. read more

I just wanted to share my experience with having the Blade Lady sharpen my kitchen knives. The first awesome thing was convenience. We met up at the agreed upon time and place and just 3 hrs later my knives were returned. The second thing was the sharpness of the knives. My knives were so sharp I felt like I was cheating on my old knives with new razor sharp knives. All in all a great experience that I will highly recommend. Stay safe and keep your knives sharp folks. You won't regret it. Edit: I just got my knives sharpened again and Jennifer was awesome. I was actually late and she waited for me at the usual pick up spot. When she returned the knives to me they were just like new. Seriously folks, dull knives endanger lives. Get your blades sharpened up by Jennifer and stay safe. read more

The knife lady can make your old thought to be hopeless blades better than brand new. She will sharpen about anything with an edge. She took my old rusty drawknife , chisels, and lathe tools and made them safe again.. Nothing like working with safe sharp tools. You don't really realize how unsafe they are until you get a brand new blade put on it. Jennifer was very very easy to work with and super nice the turnaround time was second to none. She goes out of her way to make her customers feel comfortable. I simply cannot say enough about this company you will not go wrong. McMahon custom woodworking would not be as safe without her. THANKS A MILLION. I WILL SPREAD THE WORD FORSURE.. MCMAHON CUSTOM WOODWORKING JUSTIN MCMAHON read more

Found the blade lady on next door then i did a little research and found her here as well. I decided to give it a try. My wife was concerned about leaving cash and a lot of knives on our door step to be picked up. I told my wife, well the blade lady is not very sharp if she steals knives. So we went through with it. Needless to say i was on edge waiting for them to return. It was wonderful, we live close by so she picked them up and dropped them off later that day. When they got back i washed them real quick and gave them a try. I noticed only the edge had changed and they were super sharp. I was happy they didn't come back scratched up. They looked the same as before. It is great having sharp knives again. read more

Used The Blade Lady's sharpening services today for the first time, and it was such a great experience that now I'm looking around the house to see what else I can get sharpened! I texted The Blade Lady today (on a Saturday) to see if she could sharpen my lawnmower blade, which was so dull it was chewing the grass rather than cutting it. She responded to my text immediately, drove to my house to pick up the mower blade, took it home to sharpen and balance it, and brought it back the same afternoon, all for a very, very reasonable price! So I put the blade back on the mower and mowed the lawn. Aaah! What a difference! Thank you, The Blade Lady, for your personal, prompt, and very professional service. read more

Seriously, my knife was sharp! Okay I contacted the blade lady early in the morning. I had a event to do later that afternoon. She contacted me back with in 10-12 minutes after I left a message. That's fast in my book, considering how customer service is these days! Well, I was shocked. She was fast and very sweet. She answered all my questions. So...I met the blade lady! She took fabric shears for my wife and a chef knife from me! She made those two things brand new! Polished and shiny! We were very impressed and will be returning! We recommend 100%! It's a lost art that no one really does anymore! So please let this amazing lady sharpen your needs! Thank you blade lady! read more

Jennifer sharpened five cooking knives, a pair of kitchen scissors, and a pair of sewing shears for me and I could not be happier with the results! She responded to me immediately after my initial message, and was able to meet me the next day to both pick up and drop off my knives. She was professional and friendly and her prices are very reasonable. I've already contacted her again to sharpen some garden tools and I did not hesitate to recommend her sharpening services to a friend just last night. I used to take my kitchen knives way across town and pay much more money to have them sharpened, but I won't be using anybody but The Blade Lady from now on! read more

We were driving in to Aurora from Kansas to visit relatives, and found The Blade Lady on Yelp. The Yelp reviews were great and her well done website gave me even more confidence to trust our knives to her. What a fantastic experience! She responded to my contact quickly, and we set up a time to meet. She had our knives ready for us exactly when she said she would. She did a fabulous job. We have had knives professionally sharpened in both Wichita and Kansas City....she beat all of those experiences in two ways: 1) the quality of our interaction, beginning to end and 2) the quality of the sharpening. Thank you Yelpers and Thank you Jennifer! read more

I own Cutting Edge Custom Sharpening in Kingston, NY. Jennifer handles every clipper blade my customers need done, and I absolutely feel she is a master sharpener in every right. Of 2+ years of her handling my clients clipper blades I've never had a complaint, and am always impressed with how clean and sharp they come back. She never disappoints. If she has clients that don't like her work...they're nuts. I've also witnessed her work on shears, knives, and other tools. Folks, if you are using anyone else in the Aurora area, you're wasting your money and time. CUT IT OUT and see Jennifer. A true craftswoman and professional. read more

I contacted Jennifer because I had 15 knives in various stages of dullness. She immediately emailed me back and we tried to set up a time to meet. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to meet her when she was available so she arranged to pick up the knives from my office for a small fee. That is good customer service. She was able to return them the same day. That is GREAT customer service! The knives are as sharp, if not sharper, than the day I got them and she was able to fix the bent tips on my steak knives. I highly recommend Jennifer because of her prompt replies, great customer service, and her expert sharpening skills. read more

Messaged her yesterday and was able to have my kitchen knives sharpened AND returned on the same day! We met at a drop-off location, she was on-time and it was a very efficient transaction. Regarding the knives, they are now a dream. I have a standard Wusthof block and for the first time in months, I can cut tomatoes without producing more juice than cut tomato. She even took a look at my shears and said that they were fine, so did not sharpen those, which I take as someone who is not only knowledgeable in her assessment, but honest. Her prices are VERY reasonable and I have already recommended her to several friends. read more

I've dabbled in the art of knife sharpening and even with the best equipment available, it truly is an acquires skill. All of our knives needed sharpening and my wife did not want me to destroy any of her expensive cutlery. I googled and found The Blade Lady and her prices were Very reasonable. She sharpened our knives and she has a customer for life. She makes the process as convenient as possible and answers any questions where you know that she knows her craft expertly. Allow her to sharpen anything you have and you won't be disappointed. Our knives are now sharper than when they were new. Thank You Jennifer. read more

I had all of my knives sharpened and I am extremely impressed. My knives have never been this sharp before (and I have had them sharpened). I do large proteins on my smoker, and the ability to break down a full brisket, roasts, a lamb, etc is a lot easier with my knives this sharp. I had half of my knives sharpened and then all of the rest, including my hunting and pocket knives. The turn around was within 24 hours-the second set were actually finished within a few hours! Great service. I can't say enough about how good of a job she does with sharpening knives. I will definitely be using her again in the future. read more

After 9 years of grooming dogs and cats, I finally found The Blade Lady, and I couldn't be happier! She worked with me on a time to meet her and had my stuff ready within 24 hours. Never in my years of grooming have I had a sharpener explain to me how a blade should be when sharpened, exactly what & when I need to replace parts and service my clippers. I was sent pictures of my blades and clippers as soon as they were ready and EVERYTHING looked better than new. I will continue to take my business here and I would highly recommend this business to all my friends and family, no matter what they need sharpened! read more

Jennifer did an amazing job sharpening my kitchen knives. I contacted her on a Friday morning and she was back to me within minutes with a quote and appointment for the next day. I dropped off my four knives, that were dangerously dull, and within a half hour I had all four of them back sharpened, polished and as sharp as the day I bought them. Having used them over the last weeks, I keep kicking myself that I didn't contact her sooner. I will be coming back when the time arises and have already told multiple friends to give her a call. Thank You Jennifer. read more

The Blade Lady is as professional as it gets. She works with your schedule to find a time that works for both of you. She is prompt and easy to work with.
