I am so happy with the entire transaction of getting my Oster clippers fixed. I usually went to the clipper repair store by my old neighborhood, and now it is to far to travel there. Several years back I had a friend snap off the sheepsfoot blade tip on my 1970's Schrade+ 885UH Uncle Henry King Ranch Stockman pocket knife while trying to remove a snapped off wooden dowel in our rocking chair, which he also managed to break, a true comedy of errors. I have to admit that after receiving a set of knives as a wedding gift 16 years ago I never thought about having them sharpened. I guess I never understood the importance of doing such a thing. After seeing glowing reviews of the Blade Lady's work I decided that it was time to get several pieces that I use on a daily basis to get sharpened. WOW is all that I can say. First off I contacted the Blade Lady via a facebook message. She was quick to respond and made the entire process easy as pie. I simply dropped off a bag of knives wrapped in a kitchen towel off on her doorstep and the next day they were returned on my doorstep. I also received instructions on how to clean and care for my newly sharpened knives. I just wanted to share my experience with having the Blade Lady sharpen my kitchen knives. The first awesome thing was convenience. We met up at the agreed upon time and place and just 3 hrs later my knives were returned. The second thing was the sharpness of the knives. My knives were so sharp I felt like I was cheating on my old knives with new razor sharp knives. All in all a great experience that I will highly recommend. The knife lady can make your old thought to be hopeless blades better than brand new. She will sharpen about anything with an edge. She took my old rusty drawknife , chisels, and lathe tools and made them safe again.. Nothing like working with safe sharp tools. Found the blade lady on next door then i did a little research and found her here as well. I decided to give it a try. My wife was concerned about leaving cash and a lot of knives on our door step to be picked up. I told my wife, well the blade lady is not very sharp if she steals knives. So we went through with it. Needless to say i was on edge waiting for them to return. It was wonderful, we live close by so she picked them up and dropped them off later that day. When they got back i washed them real quick and gave them a try. I noticed only the edge had changed and they were super sharp. I was happy they didn't come back scratched up. I texted The Blade Lady today (on a Saturday) to see if she could sharpen my lawnmower blade, which was so dull it was chewing the grass rather than cutting it. Jennifer sharpened five cooking knives, a pair of kitchen scissors, and a pair of sewing shears for me and I could not be happier with the results! She responded to me immediately after my initial message, and was able to meet me the next day to both pick up and drop off my knives. I had all of my knives sharpened and I am extremely impressed. My knives have never been this sharp before (and I have had them sharpened). I do large proteins on my smoker, and the ability to break down a full brisket, roasts, a lamb, etc is a lot easier with my knives this sharp. Having my knives sharpened by the Blade Lady has been one of the best experiences I've had! She met me in a parking lot t, took my knives , and 30 minutes later brought them back to me fully sharpened! Ir sounded odd, but she works from home and this is a convenient way to do it. The knives I took her were all different sizes- some serrated, and they were all sharpened well!
