He tried to sharpen them out, but ended up making it far worse. I found Knives Edge Japan and they were willing to give it their best shot repairing the 7-10 2-3mm deep "serrations" in my gyuto. They were done in a day, and they completely restored the edge to top performance. Not only is the knife repaired, but it's far sharper than I have ever been able to get it with my edge pro. What I thought was a loss of a nice Makoto White #2 gyuto came out with a nearly perfect restoration, with great care given to restore the original edge profile. So grateful for Knives Edge Japan's hard work to save this knife!
