The room was beautifully appointed with a private deck, couch, comfortable king-size bed, flat screen fully stocked mini fridge with Mexican Coca-Cola, Saratoga flat and carbonated water popcorn and a record turntable. The bathroom has very nice toiletries with a rain spout shower, Turkish cotton towels and a heated floor. There were more than eight floor to ceiling shaded windows to view the waterfall and pretty vegetation. From 3pm to 7pm snacks and La Colombe coffee beverages of all types are available with chocolates, cookies, dried fruits or nuts and candies. Coffee and biscotti are available from 7:30am till 10am in the morning. The staff is composed of four lovely women whose names all begin with the letter A. There are also s'more kits supplied to be made in multiple fire-pits at your leisure by the creek. Recommendations from dining, shopping, hikes or some great live music are given by this great staff. If you are looking for a relaxing stay at extremely reasonable rates that are less than two hours from New York City The Woodstock Way Hotel is the perfect choice.

It was perfect since it has a little kitchen and private bath inside. When traveling with my pup I need to have a bit more ability to stay in the room for food and things so I don't leave him alone long. The space was designed beautifully to match the natural surroundings. I felt like I was in nature when I was staying there. There was a skylight above the lofted bed (which you could open the window with and also draw a sun-blocking shade) and windows you could open on the ground level to hear the brook at night. There is a sweet front porch just outside your door where you can sit outside and have coffee or cocktails. The yard outside the BnB is lush with plants, flowers, and trees. The area is very quiet as well. This was such a chill and wonderful place to stay.

They have a concierge for your ski equipment, and a shuttle if needed (it wasn't needed this time, there was plenty of snow on the path to ski to the lifts). We were hoping to enjoy the restaurant and bar (The Van Winkle) but it was unfortunately closed for a private event. We were given a booklet of nearby places to eat, which was helpful. The room had a luxurious feel to it, spa-like. It was clean and well stocked. We had wifi keys which is a nice feature, and the elevators were efficient. Breakfast was included, and it was a "grab and go" assortment of oatmeal, pastries, apples and granola bars, along with hot beverages. I would have liked it if the hot beverages had been available after skiing as well, but there were coffee pots in the room with coffee, teas and actual mugs, along with creamers and sweeteners. We will surely be coming back to this great location!

What is unexpectedly amazing about this hotel is the service. I have never experienced such warmness and understanding from any hotel staff. There was a snow storm on Sunday and my friends actually got into a car accident. Thankfully, nothing terrible happened and everyone was safe, but the whole experience had us shook. That was the day we were supposed to check-out. As you can imagine, we were all worried about driving back in these conditions, especially as the storm kept getting worse, rather than slowing down. The hotel staff offered to extend our stay, free of charge, so that we could wait out the storm. They even provided us with extra linens and towels so we could have a more comfy evening. I cannot say how thankful we all are. Our stay at the Kaatskill Mountain Club was amazing. Aside from the amazing staff, the hotel amenities themselves are pretty cool. We had a fun time at the hot tub and heated pool, and the complimentary breakfast is the perfect pick me up before a long ski day. If you're looking for a cozy weekend getaway, and an amazing hospitality, that's the place for you.

It was clean, comfortable, unique, and a lot of fun, offering the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. What I loved most was that it felt like camping, but without sacrificing comfort. The Lushna Suite gave us that outdoorsy experience and connection to nature while still having a real bed. My back was extremely thankful that I was sleeping on a comfortable mattress instead of the ground. I was also a little concerned that being so immersed in the woods would mean dealing with bugs, but we had absolutely zero issues during our stay. The property itself is beautiful, with plenty of fun things to do on-site, but we spent most of our days exploring the surrounding area. We hiked, kayaked, and fished, then returned each evening to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at Eastwind. A special shoutout to the food. The BBQ was outstanding, honestly some of the best I've had in a very long time. It far exceeded expectations and ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. Specialty drinks were delicious too and my son said it was the best Shirley Temple he's ever had! The combination of unique accommodations, great food, a beautiful setting, and easy access to outdoor activities made this a truly memorable getaway. Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to spend quality time with my son and create memories we'll both cherish for years to come. I would highly recommend Eastwind to anyone looking for a relaxing escape, an outdoor adventure, or simply a chance to reconnect with family while enjoying all the comforts of home. There is so much good to mention from our stay at East Wind in Windham. There was also a few little…read moresurprises that were mostly because we didn't read the website description or dig thoroughly enough, so I will try to make this as helpful as possible! For reference, we stayed in one of the Lushna cabins that are best described as the size of a big teepee tent with one beautiful window wall. First surprise, I don't think were were fully expecting how small it was and that there is basically just a bed and then room for a bag or two. Yes, the bathrooms are detached and you have to go outside to get to them but they are a few feet away, private, and they keep them so incredibly warm that it was actually really nice in there. They are very spacious, have plenty of shelves and the shower is huge and luxurious. My bathroom at home honestly pales in comparison. There are two saunas on property but the one right outside of our cabin was not working, most likely because of how cold it was outside. It was a bummer, especially because we didn't want to trek to the other farther away one. We ate at Dandies, their on site restaurant, our first night and everything was incredible. Their staff was super friendly and lovely to chat with. We went back for the mulled wines more than once and stopped by in the AM for coffees before leaving for the day. It was great to have so close by. Our first morning we tried the breakfast basket and loved that it just appeared at our door. For $30 we got a Stanley thermos of coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt parfaits, OJ, and croissants. Nothing too crazy but I loved having a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed. Windham is filled with great places to eat, cute antique shops, a movie theater, bars, and is not far at all from other great towns. This wasn't a ski trip for us, but we never ran out of things to do. Yes, it was expensive and might not have fully felt like it was worth the price with all of the surprises, but we had an amazing time and we also got engaged over this weekend in this teeny tiny little teepee tent so my heart is full of love and 5 stars for everyone.

Gourmet breakfast was served every morning which we looked forward to! They gave us instructions for getting to the nearby lake that comes with hiking trails to the waterfalls which was great. The views from our room showed the beautiful nearby mountains. Our room also had a lovely fireplace which made the room so cozy. Would totally recommend for a romantic weekend getaway!

Mountainview Lodge looks like a nondescript motel on the outside, but on the inside you have a…read moresolid 2 star hotel with immaculately clean and very large rooms. It is my second visit to this establishment and I will keep coming - the owners Susan and Mike are friendly, personable and caring and in the middle of ski season (and during school vacation time) a room with two full beds costs $80. The Wi-Fi connection works and is reasonably fast; water is hot and at good pressure, thermostat is set at a comfortable room temperature when it is -22 degrees outside; the room is cleaned every day and the hotel is a 2 minute drive from the slopes - what more can a reasonably-minded customer ask for?! I just had the owner Mike help me out with a dead battery at 6:30 in the morning - he came with an industrial grade voltage booster and in a minute my car was running. i can now go skiing instead of fumbling for hours with extension cords and battery chargers. Highly recommended, unless you are a jetsetter who always stays at the Ritz - in which case you should avoid Hunter Mountain altogether and head straight for St. Moritz in Switzerland...
