The staff was patient with new shooters and didn't try too hard to "cure" the bad habits of the old timers. I will say again: This _is_ a good place to hang out and find a job if you are looking to work as a security guard. Lots of posted job opportunities and the school is looking to hook the students up with those type of jobs. They also operate their own in-house security company: SPERE (the equivalent of the latest meme expert saying "HELTH" when describing a medical service :) ) I'm changing my recommendation: these guys are alright. We were a group of 4, made up of 2 people with previous experience in firearms and 2 novices. Andy was amazing, he was so thorough and treated all of us the same! He assessed everyone's knowledge and comfort and answered all the questions we had with details, examples and always explained the why's. I had never owned a gun or fire one. I learned how to load, unload, clear 4 different types of malfunctions, but most importantly I learned so much about my gun. I didn't know what to expect during the classroom training, Andy made the 3 hours fly by. In the shooting range, Andy was there with us the entire time. He helped us be confident with our performance and corrected us when it was needed. We are definitely going to go back to visit Andy for additional range training. I have thought for years that I needed to learn CPR, not just because it's the responsible adult thing to do but also for the sake of my loved ones. So, for my boyfriend's birthday this year I decided to get the two of us certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. We took the class this past weekend. I know it doesn't exactly sound like the "fun" thing to do for someone's birthday but our instructor Kurt made the class not only worthwhile but very amusing. "People will remember so much more of what they are learning if they are enjoying themselves." That is a direct quote from Kurt, our instructor. The process was smooth to sign up. Shawn, the owner answered my emails promptly and courteously. The fee for the class was in the same price range as the other classes I looked up. I chose to go with CPR Florida because they offered weekend classes and the class location was 7 minutes from our house. I would encourage everyone to educate themselves with the simple lifesaving skills of CPR. I would also recommend taking your classes with the very funny but informative Kurt.
