I tried a…read moreschool before that didnt fit and i left there feeling discouraged, and besides that had heard all these horror stories about nursing school so I was scared and praying to make the right choice. And I did! This school is fast paced but the information is given so effectively by such great professors that really enjoy teaching their specialties and it makes such a difference.. My first class was scary and rough I had professor Baker and she is a tough teacher it made me feel uncertain in if I could do it. But as the class went on and I started learning more and understanding her she was literally just a great teacher and knew how we needed to be delivered the fundamentals to lay that ground work for us and im telling u it worked so many things have suck and she was so dedicated to us. She'd do after school group zooms with us to help us learn more and get the pieces to fall into place. Her wisdom, love, and dedication to her students and her teaching made it all so easy to take in and gave us a thirst for her knowledge. Then we had her again in med surg and we were all feeling confident walking in because we knew if Baker knew it she'd pass it on to us. Dean/Professor DelCoro taught us pharm and medsurg and the way he broke things down and made connections to each drug and disease with a story or life experience was perfect for people who learn like i do. His classes were probably my hardest but he gave us so many pp, stories and silly pictures to relate to things and we all ended up doing well in his class. Then Professor Zerfas who did our mental health drugs and mental health clinical was just a genius. She is such a smart intellectual woman, who not only knows the world of psych like the back of her hand but her love for it just pours out of her all day. And her intellect is so intriguing that it makes u want to learn more and know more. And personally the reason I changed to wanting to do mental health. Also Professor Phillips who taught mental health that woman is a gem. So sweet so smart and everything about her, her class and teaching helps you to better understand people and how to effectively communicate with anyone. Professor Greiner in maternity/peds was incredible her love, knowledge and expertise in that field makes her class so enjoyable. And the excitement she gets showing us all her little replicas and doing all the Sims shows her dedication not just to us but to the specialty. Then there's Professor Prince whose last name should really be queen bc she is the damn queen! She teaches critical care which for me helped refresh me on everything from past classes and tie it all together. She is incredible! Wise beyond belief, teaches you and shows you examples and has so many life experiences to help drive her points home. She also was my preceptor and I swear I jumped for joy when I heard that bc I knew I could pick her brain all day on anything and everything I still had questions on. And I did! Overall the school was amazing, the hrs, days, workload, professors, Dean, Mrs.Desiree the queen of schedules who does her best for everyone. And the resources we were given even after graduation to keep us studying so we all could walk in to take our NCLEX without any doubt or horsemen on our shoulders. I love this school! Also before i give my 5 i want to mention how incredible and thankful i am for this school bc when I did struggle in one of my classes and was freaking out about to fail it Professor Prince pulled me aside worked with me one on one and talked with me but even still I was upset, scared and feeling like crap, and she did something I never would have expected from a Professor, she pulled out a book of scripture and read it with me. That action alone blew me away.. Then 2 weeks after I graduated I was going thru a tough time with family and Professor Phillips called to check on how my nclex studying was going, heard in my voice I wasnt ok and instantly switched into friend mode and talked me thru alot and prayed with me over my family, my son and all I had been worrying about. These acts aren't what professors do, these are acts that people who truly want to see you do well in all areas of life do. In Cambridge you're not just another student, you're a person! They know u by name, they know you have a life outside of there and ur needs and they work to help you navigate thru all that so u can be the success you want to be.

Dark wood, wrought iron and a handsome bar area. Reservations are encouraged as the room is quite small. We were seated by a window and our drink orders were taken immediately. The menu although limited, has many French favorites - Escargot and French Onion soup for starters. Artesian rolls are baked on site. Duck was on the menu and I noticed Shrimp Risotto and a beef dish as well. There were a few specials the night we arrived and my friend chose the corned beef and cabbage as it was a day or so after St Patricks Day and she hadn't gotten her fill. I chose the lamb chops and i am glad i did. My three rib chops were served upon a bed of fresh veggies and her corned beef was accompanied by fresh cabbage, small roasted potatoes, cauliflower and baby carrots. Both of us enjoyed our meal completely and had no room left for dessert even though the Crème Brûlée was calling me. This is a specialty restaurant with high quality food. The prices align with this. I would return for another meal on a special occasion especially for the atmosphere and quality it provides.

The restaurant had only a handful of customers. We were a party of 5 . The mushroom soup was flavorful, with large mushroom pieces. The petite filet au poive was cook perfectly, although quite petite. Our vocal acquaintance was not pleased and made it known. The salmon en papillote was wonderful. Dessert was large, decadent. I have to say that overall, I remember having had better here prior.

Tonight, attended an excellent classical performance (violin and piano), The Complete Sonatas by Robert Schumann (1810-1856). They did a fantastic job. They have these concerts in a much smaller venue, their Concert Hall... great acoustics. Price for tickets only $20. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The campus is beautiful, well-maintained, and highly organized. The student body is incredibly multicultural, creating opportunities to meet people from all over the world. The athletics and Campus Recreation programs are excellent, student involvement is encouraged, and there are many hands-on learning opportunities outside the classroom. The dining options were also consistently one of the stronger aspects of campus life. I also had wonderful experiences in the theater department, and several professors in the College of Business were truly outstanding mentors who challenged and supported their students. Unfortunately, these strengths were overshadowed by issues that became more apparent over time. The cost of attendance is extremely high, and in my opinion, the overall academic experience does not consistently justify the price. Many campus buildings and classrooms felt dated, and the quality of instruction varied dramatically between departments. As a current classroom teacher, I can confidently say that I learned sound pedagogy from only a handful of professors. Expectations differed significantly from one instructor to another, making it difficult to understand what constituted quality work. Assignment instructions were often unclear, and many rubrics lacked student-friendly language, specific criteria, or transparent expectations. The inconsistency in instruction and assessment made the educational experience feel fragmented rather than cohesive. I also found that internships--an important part of preparing for a career--were difficult to maintain because of lengthy class schedules and limited flexibility. While the university promotes experiential learning, the structure did not always support students who were trying to gain professional experience while completing their coursework. Beyond academics, campus culture sometimes felt disconnected. There was a noticeable lack of unity among students, and many students from middle-class backgrounds felt out of place in an environment that often catered to a much wealthier demographic. At times, it also seemed that outside interests had a stronger influence on university priorities than the day-to-day student experience. Lynn University operates like a well-oiled machine from an organizational standpoint, but the people within it often felt disconnected from a shared mission. The staff, faculty, and student experience sometimes seemed assembled without a unified vision, resulting in inconsistent expectations and a lack of direction. In my experience, this contributed to lower student satisfaction and likely played a role in student retention challenges alongside the high cost of tuition. Overall, Lynn University offers valuable opportunities, an attractive campus, and some exceptional faculty members. However, the inconsistency in academic quality, high tuition, and disconnected campus culture make it difficult for me to recommend it without reservation. There is a strong foundation, but significant improvements are needed for the university's educational experience to consistently match its reputation and cost.

They study Spanish at school, however Dr Marta Garrido taught them for one week in the October/November 2018 vacation. Both my children said it has really enhanced their confidence in understanding and speaking Spanish. They enjoyed Dr Marta's teaching technique and really liked her as a person. They really enjoyed the whole experience. Dr Marta's knowledge is phenomenal. I would recommend Merit to anyone. It is definitely quite expensive but well worth it for the skill of mastering a language.

The owner is super sweet and helpful answered any questions I had and also stayed throughout to assist with anything i needed. Place is very clean! There is a splatter room which we did not use for this event but this is a great spot to host many events. Looking forward to using this space again!
