Providing us with the skills and experience to perform CPR and use the AED in all situations on all ages! Just a few weeks ago I had an Uncle die from a cardiac event. His wife did all she could do before…read morethe ambulance arrived. Unfortunately her efforts were not enough to save his life. I cannot imagine her pain nor could I imagine going through this myself. I have thought for years that I needed to learn CPR, not just because it's the responsible adult thing to do but also for the sake of my loved ones. So, for my boyfriend's birthday this year I decided to get the two of us certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. We took the class this past weekend. I know it doesn't exactly sound like the "fun" thing to do for someone's birthday but our instructor Kurt made the class not only worthwhile but very amusing. "People will remember so much more of what they are learning if they are enjoying themselves." That is a direct quote from Kurt, our instructor. The process was smooth to sign up. Shawn, the owner answered my emails promptly and courteously. The fee for the class was in the same price range as the other classes I looked up. I chose to go with CPR Florida because they offered weekend classes and the class location was 7 minutes from our house. I would encourage everyone to educate themselves with the simple lifesaving skills of CPR. I would also recommend taking your classes with the very funny but informative Kurt. CPR Florida gets 5 thumbs up from me and my boyfriend. We even received our American Heart Association certification ecards the very same day and they had free snacks and drinks too. Amazing. Thank you CPR Florida! I will be back in a few years for a renewal class.
