Dwayne Walker and Rich Medel are some of the best prof.'s I've ever had. Patient, knowledgeable, always introducing new material, and making the class fun where possible. As for fixing computers, I've seen computers riddled with viruses, come back from beyond lost cause to running like race cars. Or we strip the the computer down so we can replace a part and fixed and we usually have it done in 20 to 40 minutes, as apposed to Staples or Geek Squad. read more

I made the mistake of taking classes here in 2015-2016. My experience was nothing short of dismal. The only instructor at this facility that isn't totally incompetent is Rich Madel, however he's not exactly cream of the crop either. He's old, and old fashioned and stuck in his ways. You're wrong even if you're right, don't try to correct him. He won't "teach" anything that's not printed on the worksheets in his binders that haven't been updated in 5 years. Elson was the most incompetent instructor I had to deal with, failing to understand basic concepts while teaching an A+ class (I only took this class because I had to to fulfill a full time requirement). He'd also frequently show up late and just pal around with people in the class he favored. Long story short, I learned absolutely nothing useful here that I didn't already know and now I'm $10,000 in debt to them. For a testing location for certification exams it's a decent place to go, they have wide availability and are conveniently located. If you're looking for a test center, I'd recommend this place. If you're looking for an education, don't waste your money. read more

I recently had an incident in which my tablet died on me. I was visiting from New Jersey. I took the tablet to the West Palm Beach location for it to be diagnosed. Unfortunately the diagnosis what that the "motherboard" and they could help. I was advised that the cost of replacing the motherboard would be cost prohibited. They made a suggestion and attempt to retrieve the data, but in the end they were not successful. Although I didn't get my tablet fixed, the level of customer service was exceptional, and I was not charged, From that of the technician (Steven, over the phone) to that of the front desk receptionist they were courteous and returned calls and kept me up to date on development. In the future should I be in the area and need service from them, I would definitely go to PC Professor read more

I opened this account because PC Professor is well worth sharing. I, recently, completed a program for AWS Cloud Practioner/Architect, Microsoft Azure, and Linux with PC Professor and found it to be an awesome experience. As a military veteran, it's hard to find classes that are affordable and can take me to the next step in my technology career. The rating of five star is not enough, there should be ten. And I did it from the comfort of my own home. Their new online courses are very formidable and the instructors second to none. The instructors/professors are veterans, in their own right, with over 20 or 30+ years of experience. You don't need any other equipment but your own computer and the will and perseverance to succeed. The classes taught are up-to-date keeping you current on whatever technology you choose to learn. This school is a must try for anyone looking to further their knowledge, career, and most of all build up a very formidable resume to acquire a great job. I own a laptop that was experiencing a power supply issue. Purposely trying to spend locally (vs Geek Squad, etc...), I chose to take it to PC Professor for diagnosis/repair. Based upon previous visits their several years back, I was hopeful it was a worthy choice... Unfortunately, I can not say this was indeed the case. 18 days (!!!) after placing it in their care, said laptop was finally available to be returned to me. My service experience during those 18 days was highly lacking to say the least... To the point, I would best surmise that their in-house service team is quite under-staffed - with their primary tech Dave being on a series of near endless home/office service calls. Now, I will give Dave credit where it is due - he most assuredly IS a highly capable & knowledgeable technician, no doubt. However, he is stretched waaaaaay too thin from what i can best extrapolate from my experience. Unfortunately, the remaining "techs" I dealt with in Dave's frequent absences were none too impressive (& I'm being kind...) & ultimately my dealings with them consistently ended in further frustration & nothing more. Add to that one simple thing. I am a LONG time member of the Service Community & place an extremely high value upon basic Customer Service principles. It is in this particular endeavor where PC Professor failed most miserably. Specifically: Of approximately 20 promised return/follow-up phone calls, I received a mere 5. Strike One. Organize your tech department better, PLEASE! Particularly in communication among your team members. They represent your business on the "front lines" if you will & the customer should always be made to feel like a priority (that is, if you value repeat business & recommendations to others...). In my instance, I most assuredly did NOT. Strike Two. In my field of business, when we "drop the ball" service-wise, we practice a simple & effective measure immediately. Namely, ***Service Recovery***. My laptop was in their hands a good 5-7 business days longer than it should have been given the ultimate solution - a replaced motherboard. Which I thankfully priced out ahead of time on the manufacturer's website. Saving myself around $100 over the part price quoted to me from them/their parts supplier. I insisted they use my option of course. But should I really have had to at all??? But back on point, I'd posit Service Recovery was well warranted in my case - at the ~very~ least an apology. Sadly, neither was offered nor inferred in any way. Strike Three, you're OUT. My best wish is they get their priorities in order & make their tech department a more efficient, informed & organized affair for those who bring their gear in-house for service. One of the best decisions I've ever made! If you're looking to enter the IT field(in my case Database/Software Development) definitely consider PC Professor. Like many recent college grads, I found myself ambitious, bright, yet underemployed and without the "hard skills" employers are looking for. I stumbled across PC Professor and was given a tour of the facility and even offered a free class to get a feel for the material and instructors. I've had the pleasure of learning from the many instructors at the WPB location and they're all excellent - yet have their own unique teaching style so I encourage you to find your fit. PC Professor offers a curriculum that prepares you for the certification exams of that particular subject - These exams are tough and this entire experience won't make you a zero to hero IT professional overnight - Like anything else worthwhile in life, it takes effort and true proficiency comes with time, hard work...and ALOT of practice but if you're willing to do this, you'll leave with very marketable skills and prepared for the current workforce(many of my fellow cohorts obtained well paying jobs before completion of the program and only a few certs under their belt). A BUSINESS WITH INTEGRITY AND A HEART I became aware of PC Professor back in the late 1990s, when I purchased my second PC. At the time, they were advertising in the local newspaper, offering a free set of CDs for Microsoft Office Word or Excel. I ordered the Word set, and it promptly came in the mail (I still have it!). In the early 2000s, I went to work for an employer that had a Prometric Testing Center. PC Professor also had a Prometric Testing Center. As technology goes, we sometimes would experience technical issues, either with the computers or the testing software. PC Professor was within walking distance of our facility, so I would call them to see if they had testing availability, and would sometimes even walk the candidates over to their facility myself. They were always very accommodating and very pleasant. When Prometric stopped offering Cisco and Microsoft testing, we would send all our testers to the PC Professor Pearson VUE testing facility. And so, a relationship of over ten years was forged. I recently had the opportunity to attend a class at PC Professor. There was a time limit within which I had to take this class. The registration process was flawless and took less than five minutes. When I arrived for my class on a Monday morning, I was informed that I was the only student in the class! Under normal circumstances, they would have cancelled the class due to low enrollment; however, they held the class, just for me, because they were aware of my time limitations! Folks, in this day and age, this is unheard of! Needless to say, I was more than impressed, and very, very grateful! The instructor was fabulous! The quality of the material and the teaching style were superb! Certainly not something I had ever encountered before in an educational institution! In addition, I get all the post-class help I would ever need, and I can retake the class at any time and as many times I want to, free of charge! This is also unheard of! If I could, I would give PC Professor a ten star rating! They are courteous, honest, accommodating, diligent, professional, and their quality of education is the best I have ever encountered. I wholeheartedly, without any hesitation, recommend PC Professor to anyone looking to gain knowledge and/or certifications in the field of Information Technology. You can take as many or as few courses as you want or need. You are not tied to a nine-month or one-year program, taking courses you are not interested in and will never use. They also have a whole department devoted to fixing computers, not by students, but by professionals, so if you have any bugs in your computer, make sure and take it in.
