My family stayed at Seabird Resort from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. We are very happy we picked this hotel! When we arrived to check in, the staff was so nice. They gave us a free upgrade to an ocean view room on the 4th floor with a balcony. The view was great - we could see the pool and the ocean. Loved it!! The room was very clean. The whole hotel has a nice, relaxed beach house feeling. There is a cool library on the second floor - very cozy to sit and read. The gym is open 24 hours, which is perfect. The pool is heated, but it closes at 10 pm. All the staff were wonderful. They helped us fast whenever we needed something. The hotel is right next to the Oceanside Pier. It was easy to walk there. But it rained a lot, so we did not go many places. Parking is valet only, but the service was good. We loved it here and will come back again this year. I really recommend Seabird Resort! My Personal Rating : 4.8 Hotel 4.8/5 Staff 5/5 Price 4.5/5 Ambiance 4.8/5 Cleanliness 4.9/5

The Seabird exceeded expectations from start to finish. The grounds are beautiful and the vibe is relaxed yet polished--exactly the kind of place that makes you want to linger. The hosted work retreat had plenty of yummy food and snacks that were delicious across the board. Every detail was thoughtful, and the service was truly impeccable--from the valet team to the conference room staff. Everyone was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I was so impressed that I've already booked a weekend stay with my husband. Can't wait to come back and enjoy The Seabird purely for fun this time!

Food - small plates like focaccia, edemame, fries, oysters gem wedge salad. Large plates like mussels, fish and chips, burger, tuna bowl, lobster roll. And sides. Had the seabird burger and it was delish! Service - twas good and friendly Ambiance - by the pier seaside. Bustling and good. Verdict - yes to chill and food ain't bad either.

Had an amazing stay at The Seabird! From Valet, to check-in, bartender, to onsite dining the entire team knew how to make people feel special and cared for. Alex check us in and he was awesome, got an upgrade, popped some bottle, and was quick with the process. We enjoyed breakfast at Piper which had a solid buffet but we didn't have the appetite and the Ala cart menu was amazing with great service. We spent time in the pool and also lounging at the beach front bar hangout, got some Caiprinhas and enjoyed the sunset. Overall the room was spacious, clean, and well kept, they offered slippers along with any amenities that were forgotten like tooth brushes or paste. I have already booked upcoming stays! This will be my new favorite local SoCal vacay spot!

We recently stayed here for 3 nights the weekend before Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed our time! Staff were wonderful and we found the location great since we were down the street from the Pier and beach, and rates ended up being much less than the Mission Pacific for that weekend. Since we booked through the Amex FHR portal, we also received the $100/stay credit, which could be used at a few places in the Seabird or Mission pacific, and had the resort fees waived due to hotel status. Loved that the front desk had a cart full of toys that our little one could choose from upon check-in, and the rooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable, however did make quite a bit of noise (squeaky) when moving around on it, but luckily we had a white noise playing while our little one was asleep. Do note that not all rooms have bathtubs, but the shower stall itself is very spacious (enough for two people) with great water pressure. It's common for events (including weddings) to be held here, so upgrades are not common even with status. I do appreciate that the hotel is family friendly, there's blackout curtains, and all rooms have a balcony. The branded reusable water bottles are nice touch too, although they do dent easily. One thing I did wish was that the hallways connected all around, but luckily I didn't bring my elderly mother with me this time. If you're staying in the higher numbered rooms on a floor and happen to be less mobile or have an elder with you, you'll be walking quite a while to get to elevator. We didn't realize this until we got there, but it's something to keep in mind and you should put in a request for a room closer to the elevator if needed.

The Seabird Resort in Oceanside is simply incredible! From the second, I got to the property until the second I left I was made to feel welcome and appreciated. The staff is just awesome! There are plenty of restaurants and bars on site and lots of things within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I had a great view. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

We had a great stay here! You can tell it was recently built as everything feels really new, modern, and it has a nice aesthetic. There are not too many noticeable Hyatt references. All the great parts: - Even the basic room is spacious and a small price increase gets you a separate living room. - They have nespresso machines in each room and very nicely gave me a splash of oat milk at the restaurant so I could make my coffee each morning. - The bed was really comfy. - The lobby is nice and memorably comfortable. - The pool is open late until 10 PM. The gym is open 24/7. The pool overlooks the ocean and all the chairs are comfortable. - We didn't eat at the Piper restaurant but it is super Instagram aesthetic. - The resort really feels like a resort that you might find in FL...'resort-y' if that's a term. - There are plenty of small touches that level up the resort creating the high end feeling. Oceanside is super busy on a summer weekend but calms down significantly during the week. All the CA taxes and resort fees add something like $100 each night so this is one of the only negatives. Can't forget the fee, the fee fee, and the fee fee fee. I am also a big reviewer of gyms. This gym was good with about 8-10 strength training machines (i.e. leg press), dbs, kbs, wall balls, a cable machine, a few cardio machines and a Smith machine but the space is actually a bit smaller than I expected. Taking the Coaster here from Downtown SD is pretty easy. Overall, loved the hotel!

We found the hotel while searching for a quick weekend getaway. We chose Oceanside for its small beach city vibe and the hotel for its proximity to the town center and the pier. The hotel was built from the ground up 4 years ago and it looks sparkling new inside out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly staff, from valet parking (no self-parking available) to the front desk. For our stay, we got a king bed corner room with ocean view. The room was well lit and impeccably clean. From neatly folded bed sheet to stain free bathroom floor and shower tiles. Besides relaxing on the balcony, watching the surfers weaving through the waves, there are other amenities such as pool, hot tub, and game room. You can also walk to the pier boardwalk or stroll through the strand (wish the hotel offered reduced rate bike rental). For dinning, besides the hotel restaurant, there are many options just a couple of hundreds of feet up on Main or Mission street. From casual taco place to fine sushi bar. Tons of choices. The room was well insulated and quiet, the night traffic outside on the weekend was slightly noisier, but it did die down after 11PM. It also was easily remedied with ear plugs (maybe the hotel can add it to its complementary item list). Overall, a great stay experience and looking forward to repeating it soon.

Ocean, sea breeze, and good service are all found at the Seabird Resort. They were attentive and kind. The place was decorated in strange art that was like kid themed with seabirds. So I was a bit confused as to what they were going for. Definitely upscale and each room had water bottles, slippers, and bath robes. I did run into an issue of a red blinking light that was by the bed and then in the bathroom with a chirping sound. Kept me up at 2am and I went down to ask only to be told they didn't know either. See video. Now the front desk in the morning was apologetic and they comped breakfast and resort fee/valet parking. I appreciate the effort--sad I only stayed one night and it was not much sleep. I did enjoy the hotel area.

    View from the pier

As nice as the Seabird hotel looks, the service is what really stands out. From the point of check in to every interaction at the front desk, we felt very welcome. Liliana especially made sure we maximized our benefits across all our rooms, and we were impressed how she saw the reservations to link rooms and keep families near each other. Isabelle noticed me carrying the book "Unreasonable Hospitality" and said how it was a great book and that the team all read it. I can tell, as everyone really gave us great service and didn't make any request seem like any trouble. Several others were also super helpful and I didn't catch their names. The area itself is very convenient being right across from the beach (loved the included rentals of umbrella and chairs at the Rambler), and nearby eateries and stores of downtown Oceanside.

Amazing resort, it is always a pleasure to spend some time there even if to just check the fabulous art, have a coffee, go to a meeting or enjoying a spa day. It is definitely my favorite resort around, always super clean, such nice decor, I always feel on vacation mode in Oceanside!

We stayed at The Seabird Resort on February 15th to celebrate Valentine's Day. We've been to this hotel a few times, but this time, the experience was very different because we learned that Vice President JD Vance was staying at the hotel at the same time we were there. They blocked the streets around the hotel and set up checkpoints to carefully inspect our car before entering the area. Then, they checked our bodies and belongings, similar to airport security, when we entered the hotel's front entrance. We had a room with 1 King Bed and a Partial View on the second floor. However, a huge palm tree blocked the ocean view, so we could mostly see the street. There were also many police officers on the street nearly all day, so I could see them right in front of me every time I walked to the balcony. The room was very nice, with high ceilings and simple interior design. The bed was very comfortable. I also liked their slippers with the hotel logo, which were very comfortable to wear. The bathroom was clean and refreshing. We enjoyed playing pool at the Shelter Club in the evening and had a very nice breakfast at the Piper restaurant. However, we didn't really enjoy the beach in front of the hotel this time, as I didn't want to be checked every time I entered the hotel. Most of the time during the day, we stayed outside the hotel. The hotel service was great, and the front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again on a normal weekend, unlike this time.

Such a beautiful property along the coast with lots of restaurants near by. Staff here was super friendly / helpful. We stayed in an Oceanview room which had a sweet balcony that looked out onto the resort pool and the Pacific Ocean. Good spot to bring the little ones. They have daily activity for the kids and who doesn't love the pool. I'm a huge fan of top gun (Tom Cruise Movie) so it was cool to drop by the Top Gun House (which is now a coffee shop w pastries - the apple turnover was delicious w a cup of coffee to go with it). Can't wait to come back

This is how close you are to the beach.

Typically when you go to places in great locations with amazing views, the food doesn't measure up. That is not the case here. The service overall was top notch. The hostess accommodated us despite being late for our reservation and we were able to grab a cozy table by the ocean. We really enjoyed Austin, our server, as well. I always forget how incredibly fresh the food is in California until I get here. Each dish we ordered was outstanding - unique preparation and great flavors. We loved the oysters, whipped feta, artichokes, and mushrooms. The Albariño was crisp and delicious as well. Would absolutely recommend.

The staff were warm, helpful, and even upgraded our room as part of the AMEX perk when available, which I appreciated. Now for the room. The view of the ocean and boardwalk was beautiful, but the room itself felt very average. The mattress was uncomfortable, and there's no bathtub, just a shower. Even the robes felt cheap and thin. For a four-star hotel, referred to as a Fine Resorts hotel, I expected more. As far as amenities, I didn't check out the fitness center, but an employee mentioned the sister property has the better gym. You can use amenities at both locations, but there aren't many dining options here. The rooftop bar is cute with a relaxed vibe, and I've been to Valle for my birthday before, which was fantastic. But for the AMEX-included breakfast, you have to go to the sister resort, which isn't really the atmosphere I want when I book a staycation. I do have to say the blackout curtains were great. They worked perfectly. Checkout was where things went downhill. Around 10 a.m., housekeeping knocked. I put up the Do Not Disturb sign and let them know we had a 4 p.m. checkout. Not long after, someone else knocked. I told them the same thing. Then a third knock. At that point, it was frustrating. The team really needs to pay closer attention to the DND sign and the fact that AMEX guests have confirmed late checkout. When I went downstairs to check out, they said they'd email my receipt, but it never arrived. Overall, the hotel is just okay. The Michelin-star restaurant is the standout, but outside of that, there aren't many food options, not a lot of amenities, and the energy is extremely quiet. If you're planning a staycation, I wouldn't recommend it. You'll end up needing to leave the property to find anything lively or interesting.

We loved the view from inside the room and from the balcony. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of preparing our room for our arrival and restocking on the day we needed a few more items. There were so many options for personalizing our room stay, but we were happy with what came standard in the room. We arrived early and got a parking pass so we could go out and explore the area while waiting for check-in. The check-in process was also quick and easy. We started each day with the complimentary breakfast items and were happy with the options. I stopped in at the end of each night to grab hot apple cider from the lobby, and we enjoyed it while sitting at one of the many fire pits before going back to the room. The only odd moment was on our last night when two fire pits turned off as we went to sit at them. The first turned off next to the lobby, then we moved to a second in the pool area that also turned off. After the second one, we just went back to our room and looked back to see both working again. When we got to the front desk to check in, we had to wait while staff checked in another guest, which was understandable. However, after waiting patiently, multiple guests who arrived after us were helped before we were. Even a family who walked in later was taken ahead of us, which was frustrating and set a negative tone right from the start. I asked about upgrading to an ocean view room and was offered a room for an additional $100 that barely had a view at all. On top of that, I had booked a room with two queen beds, and they tried to offer a one-king bed room instead, which didn't make sense for a family stay. Once we got to the room, the beds did not appear to be true queen size and the room had a strong unpleasant odor. The air conditioning did not cool properly, and some areas of the room did not seem clean. We tried to make the best of the evening since we were only staying one night. Later in the evening, after I had taken a shower and was simply walking around the room while my family watched TV, we received a noise complaint and someone knocked on our door. We were not being loud at all -- just normal movement in the room. It was surprising and honestly upsetting to be approached about noise when we were simply settling in for the night. It made the stay uncomfortable and took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing beach getaway. Overall, the cleanliness, room conditions, and customer service need improvement. The property has a great location, but our experience did not match the expectations.

The property offers so many activities: *Pickleball *Gym *S'mores by the fire pits from 6-10 PM *Kayaking or paddleboarding: 1 hour a day to explore about 1.5 miles along the lake, passing beautiful homes and ducks floating by *Guitar check-out *Golf balls for use on their gorgeous course They have a private, adults-only pool for swimming, plus two large pools in the main area and a Jacuzzi. There's a bar available at the pools, which is convenient. Restaurants: *Almalfi Cuisine: Upscale Italian with an amazing wine selection, beautiful views, excellent service, and phenomenal dishes. *Almalfi Marina: Located below the upscale restaurant. You can sit at the bar to watch sports or at tables overlooking the lake. Happy hour is 3-6 PM, and I got a craft IPA for just $6, such a great deal! *Brickman's: Honestly, not my favorite. Breakfast can be disappointing. My friend's eggs Benedict was just a handful of spinach on sloppy-looking ham with an overcooked egg. The breakfast burrito is good, though, and the view overlooking the golf course is beautiful. Overall, this place is incredibly relaxing. You can choose a room with a pool or lake view, and it offers great value. Kid-friendly, complementary parking, and truly a hidden escape. Highly recommend for a low-stress, enjoyable stay.

We had plans that lasted a week for our team to fly in from all over, to stay at the Lakehouse Resort. With the help of Kristen and Nicole's guidance and their team's hard work, we had a successful stay at the Resort (with a lot of compliments on the view and the qualities of the rooms), Town Hall (at the Boathouse), Team Building (at the Links). The Team helped with big to small requests and ensured that guests were happy with their stay (handing out welcome bags as planned). Our Town Hall (All Hands) was successful and we genuinely loved our event at The Links (review to come!). Major shoutout to everyone who made our stay and events a success and highly recommend staying here for vacation and/or for work events!

What I loved most was the room, especially the shower. It had a thoughtfully designed, thick glass door that opened easily. In most hotels, I hesitate before turning on the water, bracing for that sudden burst of heat overhead. But here, everything was arranged with care, so I could step in comfortably and enjoy the shower without that small anxiety. The details in the room made it even better--a Nespresso machine ready for a slow morning, and a proper water kettle, which always feels like a small luxury. The bed was soft and welcoming, the kind you sink into at the end of a long day. We didn't have an ocean view, but the patio had its own charm--quiet, intimate, and enough to make you pause. The best part, though, was the beach. Just a short walk down the stairs, and your feet meet the sand. The shoreline isn't wide, but it stretches beautifully along the coast. I found myself walking there in the mornings and again in the evenings, letting the rhythm of the waves mark the day. That simple routine--down the stairs, onto the sand--became the most memorable part of the stay.

However, watching the sunset on the California Coastline from the infinity hot tub was incredible and definitely social media worthy. I loved that the dry sauna had a glass window, offering all the benefits of the sauna while also providing a beautiful view of the ocean.
