This property is owned by Hyatt. They did a really nice job making it look like the Lido house Newport Beach. Everything is light blue striped and it's so beachy and cool with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. They have a nice fitness center with Techno gym equipment. I highly recommend staying here when you're in North County San Diego

What an amazing resort! Came here for the long weekend during Memorial Day and check in process was super welcoming. Big shout out to Kaylen who was super nice during the check in process and made us feel so welcome. Loved the champagne and chocolates at check in. Pros: 1. Friendly customer service at every turn. 2. I had an ocean view queen and it was perfect on the top floor overlooking the pool and the ocean. Best views in town! 3. Hot tub and pool are good, open from 8 am - 10 pm. To avoid crowds, go early or after 8:30 pm. 4. It's close to the train station and if you are coming from LA, this is a great option. 5. Dog friendly hotel Cons: 1. Valet only which can get expensive but there are lots a few blocks away, which have over night parking for super reasonable rates, so you can avoid extra valet fees. Most restaurants are walking and the area is super dog friendly. I had so much of fun and an amazingly relaxing vacation, I will definitely be back.

What a lovely hotel! My review is only for the conference I attended here and to be in such a beautiful hotel with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, working this weekend felt like a breeze. Conference room was nice and all the AV worked well. Valet parking for $10 was provided for conference goers. I parked in the public lot right across the street for $5.50/day and its literally a stone's throw away. Lunch was Greek cuisine and all of it delicious. The snacks at break were OK too. Bathrooms are nice and just mesmerizing views of the ocean from many parts of the hotel. Id definitely come back again to hang out here another day when not working. Its very chill and classy too. Loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at the Seabird Resort and can't wait to come back. A special thank you to Kaylen at reception, who was absolutely the sweetest and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was fully booked the first night of our stay, so upgrades weren't available, but Kaylen was able to move us into a phenomenal room for our second night with a beautiful balcony and an incredible sunset view. It made our trip feel extra special. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming, and the food and cocktails were outstanding. Between the amazing service, gorgeous property, and perfect beachfront location, this was a truly memorable stay. We will definitely be back!

My family stayed at Seabird Resort from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. We are very happy we picked this hotel! When we arrived to check in, the staff was so nice. They gave us a free upgrade to an ocean view room on the 4th floor with a balcony. The view was great - we could see the pool and the ocean. Loved it!! The room was very clean. The whole hotel has a nice, relaxed beach house feeling. There is a cool library on the second floor - very cozy to sit and read. The gym is open 24 hours, which is perfect. The pool is heated, but it closes at 10 pm. All the staff were wonderful. They helped us fast whenever we needed something. The hotel is right next to the Oceanside Pier. It was easy to walk there. But it rained a lot, so we did not go many places. Parking is valet only, but the service was good. We loved it here and will come back again this year. I really recommend Seabird Resort! My Personal Rating : 4.8 Hotel 4.8/5 Staff 5/5 Price 4.5/5 Ambiance 4.8/5 Cleanliness 4.9/5

View from 4th floor ocean front ROOM OF NOISE

This is a beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere, and we really appreciated it was dog friendly. The rooms were lovely, and the oceanfront location is scenic. Unfortunately, "oceanfront" also means "traffic front." The road between the hotel and the beach is extremely busy and felt like a freeway... even at 3 a.m. Between constant traffic and early morning trash collection, it was impossible to sleep with the windows open and enjoy the sound of the ocean waves, which was one of the experiences we were looking forward to. We also appreciated that the property welcomes dogs, but the designated grass area wasn't easily accessible, which made potty breaks more difficult than expected. The beach valet was a 10 star service! a beautiful property with a lot to offer, but if you're hoping for a peaceful oceanfront stay where you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves, the road / traffic noise may disappoint.

The Seabird exceeded expectations from start to finish. The grounds are beautiful and the vibe is relaxed yet polished--exactly the kind of place that makes you want to linger. The hosted work retreat had plenty of yummy food and snacks that were delicious across the board. Every detail was thoughtful, and the service was truly impeccable--from the valet team to the conference room staff. Everyone was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I was so impressed that I've already booked a weekend stay with my husband. Can't wait to come back and enjoy The Seabird purely for fun this time!

Food - small plates like focaccia, edemame, fries, oysters gem wedge salad. Large plates like mussels, fish and chips, burger, tuna bowl, lobster roll. And sides. Had the seabird burger and it was delish! Service - twas good and friendly Ambiance - by the pier seaside. Bustling and good. Verdict - yes to chill and food ain't bad either.

Such a sweet hotel in Oceanside! We loved the decor, customer service, and the best part is that it is so close to the beach/pier and the Sunset Market! Made our staycation extra special!

Had an amazing stay at The Seabird! From Valet, to check-in, bartender, to onsite dining the entire team knew how to make people feel special and cared for. Alex check us in and he was awesome, got an upgrade, popped some bottle, and was quick with the process. We enjoyed breakfast at Piper which had a solid buffet but we didn't have the appetite and the Ala cart menu was amazing with great service. We spent time in the pool and also lounging at the beach front bar hangout, got some Caiprinhas and enjoyed the sunset. Overall the room was spacious, clean, and well kept, they offered slippers along with any amenities that were forgotten like tooth brushes or paste. I have already booked upcoming stays! This will be my new favorite local SoCal vacay spot!

We had a great stay here! You can tell it was recently built as everything feels really new, modern, and it has a nice aesthetic. There are not too many noticeable Hyatt references. All the great parts: - Even the basic room is spacious and a small price increase gets you a separate living room. - They have nespresso machines in each room and very nicely gave me a splash of oat milk at the restaurant so I could make my coffee each morning. - The bed was really comfy. - The lobby is nice and memorably comfortable. - The pool is open late until 10 PM. The gym is open 24/7. The pool overlooks the ocean and all the chairs are comfortable. - We didn't eat at the Piper restaurant but it is super Instagram aesthetic. - The resort really feels like a resort that you might find in FL...'resort-y' if that's a term. - There are plenty of small touches that level up the resort creating the high end feeling. Oceanside is super busy on a summer weekend but calms down significantly during the week. All the CA taxes and resort fees add something like $100 each night so this is one of the only negatives. Can't forget the fee, the fee fee, and the fee fee fee. I am also a big reviewer of gyms. This gym was good with about 8-10 strength training machines (i.e. leg press), dbs, kbs, wall balls, a cable machine, a few cardio machines and a Smith machine but the space is actually a bit smaller than I expected. Taking the Coaster here from Downtown SD is pretty easy. Overall, loved the hotel!

We recently stayed here for 3 nights the weekend before Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed our time! Staff were wonderful and we found the location great since we were down the street from the Pier and beach, and rates ended up being much less than the Mission Pacific for that weekend. Since we booked through the Amex FHR portal, we also received the $100/stay credit, which could be used at a few places in the Seabird or Mission pacific, and had the resort fees waived due to hotel status. Loved that the front desk had a cart full of toys that our little one could choose from upon check-in, and the rooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable, however did make quite a bit of noise (squeaky) when moving around on it, but luckily we had a white noise playing while our little one was asleep. Do note that not all rooms have bathtubs, but the shower stall itself is very spacious (enough for two people) with great water pressure. It's common for events (including weddings) to be held here, so upgrades are not common even with status. I do appreciate that the hotel is family friendly, there's blackout curtains, and all rooms have a balcony. The branded reusable water bottles are nice touch too, although they do dent easily. One thing I did wish was that the hallways connected all around, but luckily I didn't bring my elderly mother with me this time. If you're staying in the higher numbered rooms on a floor and happen to be less mobile or have an elder with you, you'll be walking quite a while to get to elevator. We didn't realize this until we got there, but it's something to keep in mind and you should put in a request for a room closer to the elevator if needed.

The Seabird Resort in Oceanside is simply incredible! From the second, I got to the property until the second I left I was made to feel welcome and appreciated. The staff is just awesome! There are plenty of restaurants and bars on site and lots of things within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I had a great view. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

My husband had just finished working six consecutive shifts at the fire department, and we were simply looking forward to a nice evening together. As we entered the parking lot, two men in a golf cart crossed in front of our vehicle. My husband honked, and there was later a brief verbal exchange about what had happened. There were no threats or physical confrontation from us, and we believed the matter was over. Later, while we were still seated at our dinner table, a woman we had never met approached us and began questioning us about the parking-lot interaction. She told us that she and her husband were club members, repeatedly referenced their membership, said she had never seen us there before, and told us she "didn't want any problems in the future." I cannot speak to what she intended, but the encounter made both of us feel intimidated, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. We later learned that an Aviara Country Club member event was being held at the restaurant that evening. After dinner, we discovered that our vehicle had been extensively damaged while parked on the property. Carlsbad Police investigated, and surveillance footage from the property documented what occurred. An individual associated with the earlier parking-lot encounter became the alleged suspect during the investigation. Our vehicle ultimately sustained nearly $15,000 in repair costs. I am intentionally not identifying anyone or making any statement about guilt. I am simply describing what my husband and I experienced that evening. What has disappointed us most is Park Hyatt Aviara's response afterward. I personally contacted hotel management and was told that Hyatt was cooperating with police, which we appreciated. We were also told that someone from Aviara Golf Club management would contact us to discuss what happened. That call never came. I understand that a hotel cannot control the actions of every person on its property, and I am not assigning legal responsibility to Hyatt. My concern is how we were treated as guests after such a serious and disturbing experience. We experienced an uncomfortable confrontation during dinner, left to discover nearly $15,000 in damage to our vehicle, and had to involve law enforcement. Yet we never felt the level of concern, communication, or follow-through we expected from a five-star property. That is what has been most disappointing. We chose Park Hyatt Aviara because we expected exceptional hospitality and guest care consistent with the Park Hyatt name. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and profoundly disappointed. I sincerely hope Park Hyatt Aviara considers how guests are cared for when something goes seriously wrong during their visit.

The front desk was consistently unreachable by phone throughout our stay, which made accessing the resort fee amenities we paid for nearly impossible. I genuinely believe this may have been a staffing issue specific to our visit rather than a reflection of the property's standard. I would absolutely return, the location and property alone make it worth it. I just hope the service matches the beauty of the space next time.

Note that you also can't see the sunset from those rooms as it is blocked by the rooms on the west side. The front desk service was great. They offered us some wine and champagne and provided us with water bottles. The rooftop pool is wonderful. It's a nice place to lounge. The pool is heated so didn't feel too cold, but we were also there during a heat advisory 75+ degrees). There is a live dj playing lounge music. The food and drinks are expensive so we didn't really order anything. Overall a nice stay, but if we ever go back I would make sure we don't get one of the outside rooms.

We appreciated the complementary breakfast. The towels and bedding were clean, and the hotel staff kept providing fresh, clean towels throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The beach attendants were friendly, the hotel provides sand toys for kids, and we really enjoyed the live music in the evenings. The location is excellent and made it easy to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room upon arrival was disappointing. The toilet seat had what appeared to be blood or feces on it, there was urine around the base of the toilet, which made it seem like the bathroom floor hadn't even been mopped, and there were crumbs and bits of food, along with a few dead bugs, around the beds. Thankfully, I had hand sanitizer with me and cleaned the bathroom before my children used it. A few other things to note: the balcony door was difficult to open, there was no screen door, and the complimentary beach chairs are quite small and may not be comfortable for larger adults. The sheets also seemed too small for the mattresses and kept coming off the corners during the night, which made sleeping less comfortable, no mattress covers. The beach itself is beautiful but fairly small, so it becomes crowded quickly. One suggestion for future guests: please rinse the sand off before you are getting into the pool, I witnessed people rinsing off im the pool after beach then after 2-3 minutes they came out and went upstairs. The pool is not a shower and the sand on the bottom of the pool hurt. Also, once you're finished using the beach loungers, remove your towels instead of leaving them behind. It was difficult to tell which chairs were actually occupied and which were available because many loungers had towels left on them. Overall, this hotel has a fantastic location and several nice amenities, but better attention to room cleanliness and a few small improvements would make a big difference. * also bring water shoes, the rocks at the beach are very painful*

It was disappointing to see such a beautiful property not being maintained to the same standard throughout. There are a couple of pool areas. One is a smaller, more traditional pool with a jacuzzi, while the other is geared toward children with several pools and a splash pad area, which was nice for families with young kids. Makes the room musty when not cool. 7/10. You are close to the pool so you can hear a lot of noise. Thankfully the curtains are sun and noise blocking if needed. We didn't request an ADA room but got one anyway. Shower head was Kohler, 10/10 but water is so easy to flow into the bathroom floor with the ADA set up. Walls too thin, had to complain about neighbor screaming loud sporadically, playing a game with his kids. They took care of it right away. Parking is fcfs. Coming back after 7pm is a pain. Amenities are wonderful. Coffee place was great, but sometimes the door is locked during hours of operation - you have to check the front desk for service. I would stay here again for the amenities.

Parking: Valet only $60 overnight Concierge and receptionist table is very simple and 1 person helping only, she is Super duper sweet and helpful. She checked us in, and since we booked via Amex, we received complimentary: - Suite upgrades - early check in - guarantee 4pm check out - daily breakfast for 2 - In room wifi - and $150 resort credit apply for restaurant, spa etc. This place has a e-bike, paddle board an surf board for guests to use anytime complimentary. If you happened to stay in 2nd floor, which they only have 3 floors, where Vaga restaurant is, to find your room is kinda tricky. Look at the signage and the room are through the double door, on your left when you face the restaurant. It requires your keycard access to enter through the double door. The room is so relaxing, the vibe is comforting. It has complimentary coffee, nespresso tea and bottle water. You can ask for more water at concierge. Look at the real life I believe eucalyptus stem on top of the shower head, love it. There's also a gym and spa in 1st floor, also access to beach. We asked for recommended restaurant around the area, she gave a 4 pages list of restaurant and little shops 2nd floor - has venue area with spacious gathering area and balcony overlooking the beach. Evening: you can enjoy cocktails on VAGA restaurant overlooking the beach with outdoor fireplace and patio. Fyi: the room has thin walls. We can hear ppl talking, walking, running on hall way every moment. So on our final bill: They comp all our daily breakfast including tips and room service delivery. They automatically deduct $150 resort credit regardless you spend under. It will apply to any other fees. Like it because they don't Knicks pick every single expenses, that shows their reputation and their hotel guests matter over little charges. Overall, love this place. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.
