We were spending Valentine's weekend in Oceanside and were looking for a nice spot that has good food and drinks. We were greeted by the owner or the manager who seated us immediately. We tried pineapple and guava margaritas for the first time which was amazing and not too sweet. We ordered buffalo cauliflower that was a bit spicy and came with ranch dressing. The presentation was nice too. My husband had the Cali smash burger and l had the sweet heat chicken sandwich. I couldn't finish the entire sandwich. I had the rest for lunch the next day. Our server Megan was very courteous, very friendly and great suggestions. She checked on us several times to make sure we are not missing anything. Also, other staff members checked on us too. We weren't thinking of coming here. We were headed to a different restaurant. We were drawn in by the relaxed vibe. The cool chill ambience and inviting atmosphere. There are a lot of different s3sts available. Regular tables, by rhe bar and high table tops. And also an outdoor area. They also have a private parking lot. But since we weren't intending to come here initially, we parked along the side of the road. We were tended to by a very nice bartender. She knew what she was talking about. We asked her for recommendations and she made the best recommendations possible. I love that the food is fusion style. My husband got a brisket platter and it was delicious!!! It was tender and juicy and moist. I gotta say this is the most my husband has eaten in a while. He loved it. He actually finished all the brisket except for the fat on the brisket. There were sides of fries and garlic bread and pickles with his platter. I ordered the ahi poke nachos. It was delicious. The ahi poke was delicious and fresh paired with little bits of cucumber and little mango bits and sea weed, it was to die for. The wanton nachos were super light and crispy. I'm unashamed to say that I finished it all. I ordered two drinks one- sand dollar and the second was a drink I saw her preparing for someone else. It had blue pea flower syrup and lavender and I was in LOVE!!! I had to have it. It did not disappoint. It was super light refreshing and a balm for sore eyes. We also got a free dessert courtesy of the bartender. Orange zest creme brulee. It was wonderful. The crispy burnt sugar on top of the creme brulee was delicious. The creme brulee beneath the burnt sugar topping was a nice tasting contrast. It could be a tad smoother if they had sieved it before hand. But it's a good taste. We love it. We will be back. Came as part of girls day brewery/pub crawl for a bday and had a great time. It's so open and airy inside with lots of seating. We sat at the bar since we were just passing through. Most of the girls enjoyed an espresso martini while I had a basil berry and dang it, that was so good! Came here for my birthday and we saw it was a new trendy place in Oceanside. It's very big here with plenty of parking, outdoor and indoor seating. We came on a Friday night and was pretty busy but we didnt have to wait to be seated. The hostess was nice along with our waitress. My only and one complaint was the seating... We really should of chosen a normal table.. But we instead sat on a couch type seating and it was just awkward with the table kind of low so you basically had to haunch over to eat. I did like the games they provide on the table while you wait for your food and drinks. We may not return just because the food didn't leave me as lasting impression to come back. My husband and I went here off of one recommendation on TikTok, as we were coming to San Diego for our honeymoon and we were searching for good places to go to. Came In first time. First impression, staff outside watching the air show.. no one to attend us had to sit ourselves just waiting to be given menus while staff is fooling around during work. There definitely needs to be adult supervision with staff, I think I saw an adult later towards the meal, but he wasn't supervising the young staff. My food was good but my partner's not so much. This was our second time trying it since the name changed. The steak on the wedge was over cooked, dry and tiny portion (protein). I asked for medium rare and was told that's how it's prepared, the three wedges we ordered came out all well done. Steak sandwich also over done. My friend didn't like the pasta, not enough sauce. Cocktails were too sweet, not balanced. There were quite a few of us, so we were sat at the large party table. The chairs are too short for the huge thick table (bad design) . Not comfortable. We ordered lunch for takeout here this past weekend and were really looking forward to some awesome seafood by the ocean. We ordered a lot! But there were issues. The baja fish tacos were tough and a bit dry but the fixins on them made them quite tasty despite them being over cooked and not flaky/moist. The pork belly my mom ordered turned out to be a Mac and cheese pork belly (she ordered sliced pork belly) but they didn't have the type in stock for the sliced version. When we arrived she was bummed out. But they took it off our bill which was nice, and she said the bits of pork belly were (her words: succulent) tasty. Crab cakes were DARK fried. They weren't golden brown fried, they were definitely over done. The cakes were ok, didn't look or taste like lump crab. Still again like the tacos, the sauce and stuff made them tasty but it wasn't chunky moist lump crab. We are from the east coast (Maryland/Virginia) and we know crab. These were kinda disappointing. My dad loved his seared ahi tuna Caesar salad. The tuna was perfectly seared, not a bit over done. The seared portion was literally like 1 mm of searing which was great. It looked very fresh and moist (sorry if this word triggers readers haha). My husband got the Cali smash burger that had bacon. He said it was really good. The truffle fries were beer battered and nice and crispy. Ambiance is amazing. Love the open spaces and decor. Whiskey or gin tastings are $19 and you get approx 3 full pours in total according to the guy who worked there. Lots of heat lamps, live music on weekends. Happy hour specials photographed. New name, not sure if it is an owner change, for Pacific Coast. Stopped by for lunch on Memorial Day and the restaurant was pretty empty. The food was fantastic and I highly recommend the hamburger. Perfectly cooked and paired with a soft bun. I left out the habanero mayo, that's not for me. The loaded fries are great, but next time I think I will just get them plain, the fries are just so good! Crispy outside, soft inside, just right. BTW, kudos to our waiter, who made an error and came to us and told us immediately and owned it, didn't try to blame the kitchen or anyone else. We got lucky and and parked right in front of the restaurant. This location offers good number of seating areas both inside and outside. The decor is nice and modern and makes you feel comfortable. Food and drinks here are good. For starters we ordered Red Corn Fried Cauliflower Tacos with Smash Avocado, Red Corn, Corn Relish, Cabbage, Vegan Fresno Aioli and Cilantro. The street style tacos were good and flavoursome. Fried cauliflower was tasty. We decided to try their burger and sandwich. Double smash burger and O'side hot chicken sandwich were well executed. Meats were tender and well seasoned. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. The staff here is very nice. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Five stars! P.S. The Mill Room took over the Pacific Spirits and unfortunately took off many awesome things off the menu including the pork bites. This was one of my go-to places and now its menu is so scaled down. They also had a lot of gluten free options and now they don't. I can only hope that this renovation is an upgrade instead of sanitizing the menu even further. read more
