This is a newer space in downtown Gresham, kind of hidden just off Main street. They have a few beers on tap also. It's a nice space!

The Book Club that I belong to decided to have a meeting at this wonderful wine tasting estate. If…read moreyou can imagine a rustic farm combined with an cozy, friendly wine, tasting experience, you'll have got it right. We had a wonderful experience there. There's a food truck and we were able to order food, although there was a little confusion about the QR codes. But that could be just on our part. I purchased a flight and was able to taste six different wines and ended up buying a lovely Pinot Noir to take home. I definitely will be going back again and would love to sit outside this time. They had table tables and chairs set up in different groupings around outside and I saw young families and other couples that were there. This was on a Saturday. They also had board games on the table so if you wanna go over and spend time with your friends playing games that would be a fun thing to do. So glad I got to experience this place!

After seeing our Florida ids she had odd things to say about Florida vs life in Oregon. She didn't talk up the wines much at all. She kind of acted like we were a bother. The older employees came inside halfway through our tasting and the vibes got better. The younger ladies attitude disappeared as well. Honestly, probably one of the least favorite wine tasting days we've had in all the states we've visit. Bought a $49 port from them and enjoyed it back at our resort. Great wine, odd vibes from the younger staff. member.

It's a bit out of the way for me but I was in the area one month and i'm so glad I stopped by! I was driving by and there was already a line down the block so I was worried they would sell out but fortunately for us the line goes pretty quickly and was able to nab two burgers. The line took about 15-20 mins which wasn't too bad given that you can order beers inside and then take them outside to wait until you order. They have music bumping and you can see them grilling your burgers fresh. They are also so sweet to give some sausage and bread samples to people waiting in the line so you have some snacks until you get to the front. Once it's your time to order you can see their menu is no frills and does't allow changes so you can enjoy it exactly how they made it to be. Once you order it's probs another 10 minutes before you get your burger so pay attention when they call out numbers. The burger itself is a solid size. The meat is tasty and has a nice grill (slightly a little salty to my liking) but it is balanced out with the sauce/toppings. Definitely a juicy burger so it's good that the bread they pair it with absorbs the juices so you can enjoy it with each bite. The burger night is an experience itself so be sure to check it out one time and don't let the line scare you away!

Can I say I am a fan??? This was our first visit trying out anything with the Proletariat…read moreButchery. Needless to say, the last Friday of the month will be now on my calendar for Burger night. We arrived in the rain, it is November in Portland. So the first thing I noticed while waiting In the line outside in the rain, was everyone was super nice and asked if I had attended before. When I said no, folks said I would not be disappointed. Additionally, there was a nice older gentlemen who independently (on Halloween) was walking down the line and offering candy. Thanks for the mini snickers bite! We had a group of 7 of us last evening as we discussed "would this be worth it" as we slowly inched our way to the cashier to place our order. It is important to note, however, that while waiting in line the butcher shop walked the line (often starting at the end which was super considerate) offering slices of grilled sausages and probably some of the best toasted bread I have had. We made it - and placed our order for two burgers and potato salad. While waiting we checked out the shop - and while small, it is cozy and I can see why their classes and dinners draw in folks. They also had wine, beer and other items for sale to drink as well as a lovely self of bottles of wine. The BURGER!!! OMG - Heck yes!!!! Did I mention at the beginning I will be waiting in line on the last Friday of every month. I believe it was a brioche roll, garlic aoli, pickles and chopped onion with the best fresh, grilled on a fire hamburger patty I have had. Oh - and I am a total food snob. I can say this - those were big burgers and two of the guys in our group went back and ordered a second burger to eat. My husband also then raided their freezer for meats for us to bring home and prep ourselves. One of those was a beautiful Tomahawk and I cannot wait to cook it to perfection. I promise I will "not F it up." While I don't want the lines to get longer, I cannot deny my role as a Yelp Elite is to proactively share great experiences for others. So I kindly do this although this is one that I would prefer to keep a secret. Next up - I am signing up for classes!!! It's been a while since my time in CA where I learned to butcher a pig and make sausage. I saw that Proletariat Butchery offer bacon making classes. SCORE!!!

My son & I took the 'Dumplings of the World' class with Zach last weekend and had a great time. The…read moreclass was well planned, there was not a moment wasted, while also never feeling rushed. The space itself is spacious & tidy, broken up into a workspace, eating space and even a room where I imagine a smaller class or party space may be able to be set up. We had a full class, and stations were prepared (ingredients measured, tools set, etc) upon entering. We were guided through preparing the jiaozi (Chinese dumpling) wrapper dough, filling (while dough rested), then filling & wrapping. After being showing the filling & wrapping, we were returned back to our stations, where Zach rounded with the pairs for 1:2 time with the trickiest parts of the process: the folding! Quantity wise, we made more than enough, and the class was WELL worth the price in value, in my opinion: we had enough for the group to be well fed at the end of the class, and we also brought home another 8 to steam at home, which made for a good sized side for another meal. We honestly could have even made another several too, but it does get tiring on newbie hands after a while at it, not to mention wanting to chow down once you start smelling them steaming!! All in all, I'm glad I stumbled upon this class, and I'm sure my son & I will be visiting Cookshop again for other sessions. As an added bonus, we received the recipes to make jiaozi at home, so this also isn't a one & done experience like some new class/hobbies sometimes tend to be!

The setup of making it and then being able to share a lovely meal with our group was super enjoyable. I was able to purchase wine. Kind of spendy per glass for what you get. But I was glad to have it nonetheless. We were able to take to go containers home with the leftovers.
