We absolutely love this place! Erin, the co-owner, is super welcoming, funny, knowledgeable, and just all-around great to be around. We enjoy it so much that my partner actually became a member - she's a big fan of their wine lineup. The space has a cool mid-century modern vibe, and Erin can even set up outdoor seating on the sidewalk if you prefer to sip outside. Food/Wine: We haven't tried the food yet, but the wine is fantastic. I really appreciate that the wine list isn't overwhelming - it makes choosing simple and enjoyable. A few of my personal favorites: the Grenache, Betty, RBG, and sangria!

Cheers

A place to taste a variety of PNW, Californian, French and international wines - paired with local artisan foods (I'll get to that later). Covid was a challenger in their intended first opening - but here they are Fall of 2025. Lucky is (locals)! Today I enjoyed a white wine flight, with wines from the Oregon columbia valley, Washington gorge, California Russian River and New Zealand. It's fun to break out - and taste the world! Then I saw they had one of my favorites - Le Ecole Chenin Blanc...so I had to order a chilled glass of that! Unfortunately I came with a full stomach - so didn't order any food. All local artisan sourced...ravioli, Draper family chicken, cheese and crab...but what I'm really looking forward to at my next visit is their (local) Pudding River cheese fondue! With sausage, baguette and apples if you like! Yes please and thank you. I also learned that great cheese pairing, art & wine events are scheduled. So sign up and make your fall and winter rich with great wine, food, new experiences and really great people!

We arrived a few minutes before our reserved time and decided to walk the property and take a few pictures. The views and grounds are stunning! We were greeted by Greg, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history and wines. He allowed us to select where we wanted to be seated, we chose a shady spot on the patio. Greg shared that he had been with the family owned business for exactly 1 year the day that we were there! We told him he deserved a bottle of the reserve Pinot Noir as an anniversary gift, he was great and treated us so kind and never rushed us. We chose to try the Reserve Flight and a charcuterie board. The wine is delicious especially the last 2 Pinot Noirs on the reserved flight menu!! It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday and we will definitely be back! The only bummer is we did not get to meet the owner/family but Greg certainly made up for it.

As members, we always look forward to visiting. The grounds are stunning year-round, with rolling vines, scenic views, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you forget you're only minutes from town. The wines are consistently excellent -- smooth reds, crisp whites, and seasonal releases that always surprise in the best way. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely love what they do, which makes each visit feel personal. Tastings are casual and fun, never rushed, and the team is great at recommending pairings or new bottles to try. It's the perfect place to bring friends, enjoy a glass on the patio, or pick up a few bottles for the weekend. It was beautiful as we turned down the road turning and twisting down the road with the green sprawling fields! I loved it. The cutest barn and property was coming up on my left and to my surprise, we pulled in and we visited Oswego Hills Winery. The property is quaint and romantic. Big white barn. Rolling green lawns. Flowers and barrels along with inviting Adirondack chairs. We went in and the team at Oswego Hills was welcoming and I decided to do a flight tasting. I had a very whites and a few reds. They were all lovely! I have to say I enjoyed every bottle. I ended up purchasing a bottle of their Viognier. It was delicious and I am equally a rose, white and red wine lover. I will definitely be back and can't wait visit again!!

Perhaps selfishly I was trying to keep it a secret to protect my stash access to some of my favorite wines in the region. Only 3 miles away from our home, Twill has been our local favorite winery for over 5 years. A small and intimate venue, every attention to detail has been considered and engineered into their presentation and guest experience. They treat you like a member of the family, caring much more about you than profit. Rare in this world. It has been the location of my daughter's wedding and engagement party. And no doubt more family or professional events if/when we're in need. Molly and Daryl are the most charming and warm "neighbor vintners" we know. No pretentiousness. All passion and commitment to excellence. So let's get to the wine. Our favorites have been the Steelhead Pinot (retired), their 2021 & 2023 Color of Orange and their 2022 Willamette Chardonnay. Add to that - the 2019 Johan Vineyards and Bracken Pinot Noirs.....WOW! And they also recently added fabulous appetizers (we loved the almonds and olives) - you could spend a beautiful satiated afternoon with your favorite people - leaving with rested and glowing happy faces. The world needs more of those. Wouldn't you agree? So make the world better and make Twill your staycation getaway for the day!:)

We decided to visit on a Thursday night when they offer a prime rib special. For $31.99, you get an 8oz prime (there's also an option for 16oz) served with a veggie and potatoes. Since this is what we were here for, we all ordered the same dish. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling white and brought to our table, which we had reserved. Since I'm a member, we were treated to a free wine tasting flight of two whites and two reds. Hard to pick a favorite as we loved them all! With dinner, we ordered a bottle of the Matis, a red blend from Walla Walla that is on the bolder side. I've had it before, and it's always been one of my favorites. I'm so glad Williamette Valley branches out beyond the Pinots. While they are exceptional, it's nice to have options. Inside, the dining area is decorated tastefully and beautifully with soft lighting throughout. There's a bar area, a fire pit, and several different types of seating areas. I especially like the booth that is in an oversized looking wine barrel. Service was exceptional; attentive while allowing us space. Lots of parking directly out front. Located right off 99 in the same strip as Whole Foods, it's a quick ride from downtown Portland.

It's spacious, with lots of different types of seating options, from tables in the center of the main dining room to booths and a fun little wine barrel-esque 4-top table by the windows. There's also an indoor little fire pit with seating around that by the front window. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot, so that's never been an issue for us. The wines are wonderful, as expected. WVV has expanded its portfolio over the years and includes a nice array of labels so you can get your classic Oregon Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, as well as more robust reds like Tempranillo and Syrah. The bubbles are always a good choice here, and the rosé is usually a crowd pleaser. The menu here is small, but mighty, and the quality of the food has always been top notch, in our experience. On Wednesdays, there's a happy hour menu. On our most recent visit, we loved the tarragon shrimp and the mushrooms. The truffle fries were fine, but tasted more like standard garlic fries and not so much truffle fries. While I love having a wine bar/restaurant like this in this area, the one thing that has been disappointing is that I have noticed the service has gone downhill since it first opened. It's not bad, but it's also not as attentive, warm and welcoming, or knowledgeable (re: the wines) as it once was. So one star was knocked off for the just-okay service, but otherwise, this is a fantastic spot for foodies and wine lovers alike if you are in the Lake O area!
