German chocolate ice cream
Jay M.

Stop in for first time Ordered a cup small to mid size German chocolate cake Was 6.00 and was about a pint of ice cream... wow Small was all I needed. Excellent ice cream, value and excellent variety of unusual flavors who won't see at other ice cream shops...

Came by here on a random weekday to find business slow but a few more patrons did come in after our group. I got to try a few of their options, the names escape me but they tasted pretty good! Staff were friendly and there is a lot to pick from. Establishment is relatively clean so I wouldn't mind coming again!

I could never recommend the blackberry chocolate cookie flavor more. It is DELICIOUS and actually makes my mouth drool thinking about it. It pairs beautifully with hot fudge. However, I did get the whip cream and I was not too much of a fan for it. It is a bit different and not my cup of tea.... but that does NOT deter me from coming back for this wonderful flavor. Thinking I'll go back for round two tonight!

HAVANA BANANA (YO)

Got the smallest size of Havana banana. Almost $9. Kind of expensive. It's very messy to eat. The banana, Nutella and crumbs keep falling down. The fro yo has a lot of chocolate chips. I like anything above the fro yo though. They have way too many options in their menu and it's hard to choose.

SKIPPY da do da DAE

I did the skippy da do dae ! It was fire, they had one of the best brownies ive ever had, althought i wished it tasted more peanut butter instead of cookies and cream. My friend tried one with canollies and it was also fire. Overall pretty good sundays, pricey but worth it. The service was quick and pretty straightforward. The ambience was a little run down but it was ok just to grab and go

I didn't think that I would find the best ice cream ever in Boston of all places. We ordered the Tasty (standard size) and were stunned by the size. Both were full to the top of the to-go lid with absolute deliciousness. Every ingredient tasted high quality. The menu is slightly overwhelming but I don't think you could go wrong with any choice. The staff quickly got my to-go order ready and kept it cold until I arrived. Will definitely be coming back!

um this was absolutely delicious. $8ish but definitely more than one serving in the tiny size. so many options im amazed

Ice cream flavors and toppings

Overall: 9.25 Taste: 10/10 - I got the four horsemen and it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. Every bite tasted a bit different with all the different toppings and the richness of each ingredient. If you like strong flavors this is definitely the place for you. Price: 9/10 - The prices were reasonable for the amount of ice cream you'd get in each. They do throw you off a bit labeling their tiny as a pretty big cup that is plenty for a single person. Service: 9/10 - The staff were overall friendly and they all looked like college students who relatively enjoyed their job Ambiance: 9/10 - There was quite a bit of seating for an ice cream shop but was a little bit inconvenient that they don't have a usable bathroom for customers

It's all about the sundaes here. They take mix-ins and toppings to a whole new level (check out their website, it's bananas--literally & figuratively)! The trade-off with that, is that the ice cream itself is less varied, less nuanced, as it can't compete too much with the loads of stuff thrown in there (so lots of vanilla here)! It's definitely a fun experience, and the kids loved it, so even though the sundaes are $10 each, it's a great experience. We got 2 sundaes, regular size, each one easily fed two of us. Lauren & I shared the SKIPPY da do da Dae: Peanut butter oreo ice cream with a peanut butter filling topped with brownies, fudge, and chocolate flakes. The base is decent, although I wanted more of the taste the Oreo. The brownie chunks are very fudgey, good stuff, although too large and at times it was a bit too much brownie. The peanut butter filling though, was terrible, I don't know what happened, maybe it was old, it tasted off. Luckily, there wasn't much of it, sadly if it had been good it would have really taken this sundae over the top. out of five cones. Best paired with at least one friend and Cappadonna - Milk The Cow. The kids got The Garland: Campfire s'mores ice cream topped with marshmallow fluff, frosted rice crispy treats, doughy sugar cookie bites, fudge, graham crackers, and whipped cream. I LOVE s'mores, but I find that ice cream s'mores can't compete, it's just not the same without the fire melted goodness of warm marshmallows with burnt edges. This base, however, was pretty good, and I loved it with a graham cracker, some of the marshmallow fluff and fudge (and I think I got some rice crispy treats, a genius addition). I only sampled this one, but in later bites I got some of the sugar cookies (very cookie doughy), and oh my, SUGAR is an understatement, there were some bites that felt like eating a spoonful of pure sugar, too much sugar. I'd trade the sugar cookies for more rice crispy treats, but otherwise this was pretty good, and a half cones out of five. Best paired with a good tooth brushing and Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me.

milkshake

Milkshakes are probably the easiest markup at an icecream store, but the idea of an $8 dollar milkshake the size of a small iced coffee has to be the most appalling thing i've ever seen. Not to mention they give a straw that is double the size of the milkshake, almost to taunt you of the actual size it should be!

Amazing ice-creams. Everyone loved them. We got crazy and ordered legendary portions but everyone had leftovers for some days!

By far the best ice cream I've ever had. There's so many options. Staff's friendly and the music was a vibe. Highly recommend.

White Mountain is unique, with creative flavors and weekly rotating specials. I really loved the Mexican chocolate, alongside the fruity creamy raspberry and perfectly crunchy chocolate chips. On top of it all, the girls who work there were so sweet. Highly recommend White Mountain Creamery.

We trooped from the North End to Chestnut Hill to check out White Mountain Creamery. We arrived around 11:30pm and super happy they close late, at 12am every day!! The staff were all super nice and helpful. All of their ice cream is homemade and you can definitely taste it when you try their ice cream. We all got small sizes: one with a scoop of cake batter + scoop of oreo, one strawberry, and one orange sherbet. They all were delicious and definitely satisfied our ice cream craving. Their interior aesthetic made me feel like I was stopping in at an ice cream joint in the middle of New Hampshire or Vermont haha I loved it. I also noticed they do mini ice cream cakes... ADORABLE. I'm most definitely coming back to try their mini ice cream cakes & for more ice cream!
