in the middle of a 5-way intersection craving a yurmee confection see the moon, see the north star don't worry, yogurt beach is not very far self serve they say but they want us to go away "we can't until we pay!" walking laps around the beach froyo hand in hand can almost feel the breeze there may as well be sand

Delicious frozen yogurt with MANY toppings available! There are all different toppings including fruit, baked goods like cheesecake, candy- chocolate kinds and gummy, marshmallow and caramel sauces etc. It is a self serve yogurt place, which I love. They also have a bunch of flavors of yogurt- maybe 8? You can get a top to go, and there are two different sizes available. It is priced based on the weight of your cup. It is a fun place to go with kids as well! The staff is always kind whenever I go, and they have a stamp card system so make sure you grab yours cause you will go back!

I really kinda dig the energy at this place ... they found a random-as street corner, installed fro-yo machines, and just straight-up went with kitschy faux-tiki surf décor, like YESS GET ITT. You gotta love confidence. I was initially distressed when the old cave that was Petrillos closed down and was replaced by Manny's, which was both more sensible and uselessly uninteresting at the same time. Unless another old-school Italian-American deli counter is ever back in the cards, I'm now much happier to see Yogurt Beach living its best life at this rather lonely storefront. Flavor selection works great for me and toppings are interesting and plentiful. Every time I've been, the place is clean, well-lit, at least a little busy, and not depressing at all even though on paper it should be. I truly enjoy this place.

Tom and the team are amazing. The cookies and cream is legit!!! So many toppings, and staff is great. Was here for a toddler bday party and kids (and adults) loved it. Also very clean

Pretty nice selection and cute decor

Ask the Community - Yogurt Beach

Do you accept Apple Pay at the moment?

Unfortunately we do not at this time. We are researching a new POS system so that we can in the future.

Do they accept Apple Pay?

I'm sorry at this time we do not.

We trooped from the North End to Chestnut Hill to check out White Mountain Creamery. We arrived around 11:30pm and super happy they close late, at 12am every day!! The staff were all super nice and helpful. All of their ice cream is homemade and you can definitely taste it when you try their ice cream. We all got small sizes: one with a scoop of cake batter + scoop of oreo, one strawberry, and one orange sherbet. They all were delicious and definitely satisfied our ice cream craving. Their interior aesthetic made me feel like I was stopping in at an ice cream joint in the middle of New Hampshire or Vermont haha I loved it. I also noticed they do mini ice cream cakes... ADORABLE. I'm most definitely coming back to try their mini ice cream cakes & for more ice cream!

White Mountain is unique, with creative flavors and weekly rotating specials. I really loved the Mexican chocolate, alongside the fruity creamy raspberry and perfectly crunchy chocolate chips. On top of it all, the girls who work there were so sweet. Highly recommend White Mountain Creamery.

We walked into a small, clean space with the feel of a longtime local favorite, the kind of place where the display case is filled with a mix of familiar classics and more adventurous offerings that make it hard to choose just one. The shop had a warm, unpretentious energy with a steady flow of customers coming in for a scoop, and the option to sample flavors before deciding made the decision process feel more interactive. The menu goes beyond the standard selections with unique flavors alongside classic favorites, making it easy to find something whether we were looking for a familiar scoop or something more adventurous. We tried a few options and found the Cocoa Joel standing out as a rich, chocolate-forward flavor that felt indulgent without being too heavy. The basil chocolate chip was another highlight, with a subtle herbal note that made it feel distinct from a typical chocolate chip scoop. Other popular choices like kulfi, sea salt caramel, mango, pistachio, and cookies and cream gave us plenty of variety to explore across multiple visits. The shop also serves milkshakes, sundaes, and customizable ice cream cakes, with generous portions that made even the smaller cup sizes feel satisfying. The quality of the ice cream was consistent, with a smooth, creamy texture that held up well against the flavors. The staff were friendly and patient throughout our visit, creating a welcoming atmosphere whether we were stopping in alone, with friends, or bringing the whole family. They offered samples without hesitation and guided us through the rotating selection without making the experience feel rushed. The shop itself is small and cozy, more focused on the ice cream than the seating, and it works best as a quick stop for a scoop rather than a place to linger for a long time. Overall, Rancatore's Ice Cream and Yogurt is an easy place to return to for homemade ice cream with a mix of classic and creative flavors. The quality of the ice cream, rotating flavor selection, and neighborhood atmosphere have helped make it a local staple for years, offering a dependable stop for a satisfying scoop whenever we are in the area.

It reminds me a little of the old Shine's Fresh Asian in Belmont, except somehow cozier and a little more elevated. If you're looking for a place for a big group, this probably won't work. Most of the seating is bar-style facing a beautiful Chinese-inspired wallpaper. However, if you're eating solo, or with one other person, I think it's one of the best places around. There's something incredibly peaceful about settling in with a hot bowl of noodle soup while the clay pot keeps everything piping hot on a cold, snowy winter's day. The menu has so many different soups and hand-pulled noodles that I keep telling myself I'm going to branch out. In fact, I *thought* I had branched out...until my food arrived and I realized I had accidentally ordered the exact same dish I'd gotten the last time. Apparently my subconscious knows what it's likes. The culprit? The clay pot rice noodle soup with pork, Spam, chives, carrots, napa cabbage, baby bok choy, wood ear mushrooms, quail egg, tomato, green onions, and soy sauce. That is an absurd amount of yummy goodness packed into one bowl, and honestly, I can't even be mad at myself for ordering it twice. Could you get it to go? Sure. I've certainly done it before, but I think this is one of those meals that's meant to be eaten there. The clay pot keeps everything hot, the noodles stay just right, and the whole experience feels comforting in a way that doesn't quite survive a car ride home. I sincerely hope House of Noodles stays in Newton for a very long time. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant that quietly becomes part of your routine, and I'm really glad it's here.
