We were out celebrating my buddy's birthday today, and started out next door for some smokes and drinks. I had a plan for some choices for his bday dinner, and he opted with Ms. Jane's inside BJ's Casino. First off... this place is very elegant with a fine dining experience. Secondly, Cassandra was absolutely superb!! We all thoroughly had an amazing experience, from the drinks, appetizers, to our entrees, and the service. The Lavender Martini was top notch, and we also ordered the White Mojito. That mojito was crisp and refreshing! Two spectacular cocktails. As for our meals, undeniably unbelievable!! I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, with Garlic Potatoes and crisp Broccolini. So crisp and a unique almost vinaigrette flavoring, with a subtle spice. As a side, we ordered the Thousand Layer Potato. My first time ever having this, but seen how it was made on a video. Simply divine. My wife ordered the Braised Bison over Polenta, with some Carrots. This is the tastiest Bison we've ever had!! We finished the evening with a Dubai Chocolate Fudge Sunday, and Cassandra gave us each a spoon to share in this decadence. Needless to say, my buddy had an incredible day of celebration! Thank you for this wonderful experience! As always, Enjoy & Happy Birthday, Wazowski!

Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.

Seating is limited, but the bar is fully stocked! We ordered the chicken caesar salad and the Lil Saigon Sliders. The salad was fresh and crunchy, chicken well seasoned and tender, and the caesar dressing was BOMB! But those sliders..... WOW. The sliders bring everything you love about a banh mi to a mini slider that is the perfect snack size (although, they were so good we ended up ordering another) Our waitress was super kind and helpful with ordering, even suggesting a cocktail that was delicious. She then said the best option for me would be the mushrooms or the wings because they are lightly breaded and she is gluten free and does well with those. We paid for our drinks and left. I won't be coming back and it's not because of the menu.

Cozy atmosphere. There were 3 employees that night, the woman who initially waited on us actually appeared to roll her eyes when we ordered. She seemed pretty rushed and just didn't want to work that night or something. The bartender was friendly and came for our second round and he actually seemed more welcoming and friendly. The drinks menu is a bit small (compared to other nearby bars). We got 5 drinks, one espresso one which wasn't great and the rest were alright. Nothing that made us go "Oh man, try that!" but they weren't bad either. The food, looks better than normal bar food, which I loved. We ordered "Balls of Gibralter" - North African meatballs, which were *SO GOOD*, so delicious EXCEPT the texture. The flavors were all amazing, but it was as if there was too much egg and not enough breadcrumbs because it gave the impression of being wildly undercooked, even though you could see no pink. If they were firmer, they would've been perfect. They seem to have a rotating grilled cheese special I wouldn't mind checking out next time. The ambiance-lovely. Had to go to the bar to get service and order which is ok. The drink menu was a QR code, which I appreciate but I also like physical menus. The food menu is minimum and didn't order anything. They don't have anything passed 7pm for food which is unfortunate. Also, it was supposed to be trivia night but I didn't see any games or why it wasn't happening. The ambience is definitely different. Quirky, fun, good instragramable place. Unfortunately, when we arrived although cozy there was a strange smell like burnt candle or burnt something. The candles they have are LED so ruled that out. This is my 2nd time. I would give better review but I am a little disappointed by their overall offerings.

At first glance it appears super tiny, but the bar goes back pretty far and is a good size. We got there before the nighttime crowds and managed to score the cozy couch in front of the fireplace in the back. It filled up quickly after that, though! The mood is moody and cozy, the perfect spot for making this apart of date night. I can't speak much to the food as we did not order any, but the menu is pretty elevated for a bar. I wouldn't say this place is divey at all, but the menu was still surprising. Service was good and they had a great selection of drinks. I got a hazy IPA (as per usual) and it was delicious! We also got a couple of shots here and absolutely adored the shot glasses they use. They look like tiny cocktail glasses! Overall we thought Holy Moly was a vibe and we will definitely include this in our 6th Ave rotation.

Has a nice chill ambiance to the place. Food was super delish. A tad on the higher priced side but totally yummy. My pork chop was HUGE!! Thick but well cooked! So much flavor through and through. Them zoodles my friend ordered was fabulous. Zero sogginess and the sauce was pretty damn good. I really like this spot. New addition to my GO-TO spots in Tacoma.

First, my apologies. I was catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while so forgot to take…read morepics. Nonetheless my review is detailed and honest. My first time at West 122 as I had been wanting to try this for months. Here's the positives... Love the brick and mortar ambiance inside. It just had an overall good community vibe. Presentation of food was beautiful. What else we experienced... My friend ordered a Sprite and I ordered a cocktail. She was served a lemonade and my drink was pretty sour so I ordered some simple syrup. The Sprite came but it took 20 minutes to get my simple syrup. By that time I was sort of over having a cocktail. Honestly, the venue was not full and all I wanted was some simple syrup in a shot glass. We ordered the burrata, caesar salad and the special with the octopus tentacles, asparagus, peppers and capers over polenta. The caesar salad on the menu lists "red gem lettuce tossed in house-made caesar dressing, topped with bread crumbs and shaved parmigiano reggiano. While I liked the idea of not having croutons as they're sometimes difficult to maneuver with a biteful of salad, there must have been a quarter cup of bread crumbs over the top, so much so that you couldn't even see what was underneath. Next, the menu describes the burrata as "creamy burrata with pea vines, roasted peas, pickled asparagus, and artichoke." When it arrived, we were truly wondering if we had ordered the right thing. Only until we moved the sea of greens did we see the burrata. Nowhere on the menu did it mention that we were actually ordering a salad with burrata underneath. Very unfortunate and misleading because my friend ordered the Caesar for dinner and didn't know she was actually getting a second salad. In addition, we ordered the baguette with butter/oil and what came to us for $11 or some rather non descript rolls. The octopus special was the star of the show. The colors, flavors, char on the octopus...everything except that it was surrounded by a fair amount of paprika oil, so much so that I had to work around it in order to not give my stomach a run for my money later in the evening. A dish I wanted to finish but just couldn't because of that issue. In addition to that, refills of water were non-existent and it took close to 50 minutes to get our dinner. Also, our waitperson was very pleasant but seemed rather overwhelmed. Even after waiting 15 minutes for the simple syrup, when she finally did bring it, she looked surprised that I no longer wanted it. Yes, she took it off the bill, but I would have much rather enjoyed one of the specialties of the house. So many mishaps that didn't need to occur. Truly disappointed that our evening went that way.
