This has to be hands down the most cute, quiet and unique spa I've been too! The salt room was very new to me, but a very healing experience. I've had a chair massage as well as acupuncture done in the salt room, and I reassure you, it is an experience like no other. I've had a number of facials done as well. They use all natural, amazingly scented products that give you weeks of glow! Needless to say, I highly recommend! My next venture there is a full body massage soon. :))) read more

Diana gave me a body scrub and massage (total 90 minutes). I have never left a massage (and I've had many) so thoroughly relaxed and loose. She worked on my tense shoulders and a stiff hip, really working out the tension and stretching the muscles. I feel like I am standing straighter, and I just feel great. Will definitely return. High recommend. read more

Came here through an organization event and loved it. Will return for the salt therapy!

Oh, my. I have never had a better massage than the 90-minute one I had from Priska! The room was wonderful, with aromatherapy oils that I got to select. Music was soothing and not too loud. Heated table, soft blanket, and very comfy face cradle and bolsters. Priska started off by asking me how I was feeling, what kind of massage I preferred, pressure (firm for neck and shoulders), what kind of work I do (sit at a computer all day), do I do any stretching, etc. The massage was sooooo relaxing that I fell asleep!!! I never fall asleep--even with the deep pressure at my shoulders, she managed to do so in such a relaxing way! She sent me away with a yummy salted caramel and suggested that I drink lots of water today and take a hot bath with some Epsom salts. Best massage so far, wonderful service. Thank you!! I will be back!! read more

The Salt Studio is such a wonderful place. Every person is kind, gracious and caring. The services are among the best and I would highly recommend visiting. read more

Pilar is stellar! I woke up today with a pinched nerve in my left neck & shoulder. I was able to get a same day 30 min massage with Pilar. She was gracious and genuinely listened to what my ailments were. She worked wonders on my neck and shoulders. I will be back for another treatment soon. Furthermore I will start recommending this amazing masseuse to my patients at my practice. Thank you Pilar for your expertise and skills! read more

I am so excited about finding the Salt Studio! I decided last night to treat myself to a much needed massage for my birthday today. I found this place on Yelp (thanks Yelpers!) and as someone who has struggled with asthma my whole life, I was intrigued. I called early this morning and they were able to accommodate me on short notice. I did the salt room treatment first. Since it was a weekday mid-morning, I was the only one there. It was very relaxing and even though I brought a book, I was content to just sort of veg out and let my mind wander. I felt that the treatment did help my breathing a small bit, but understand that you probably need to do this on a regular basis to see a significant difference. I also splurged on a salt scrub and one hour massage. Melissa was my massage therapist. She really knew what she was doing! She hit just the right balance of being friendly and engaging without being too chatty (which doesn't work when you're trying to relax during a massage.) She made sure she was checking in with me about her pressure and adjusted beautifully for the different spots where I had tension. I have to say that this was probably the best massage I've ever had - and I've had my fair share. The pricing was fair for what you get - and they offer a decent array of pricing packages and specials. I will definitely be back! read more

This review is long overdue... Diana and Kathleen are amazing and the whole staff is absolutely wonderful. Diana and Kathleen are warm, caring individuals who genuinely care about you. I am a PhD student, with barely any supplemental income, and yet, I find myself spending it at the salt studio. The salt room, massages and facials can't be beat...it is my refuge from the daily LA grind of traffic, PhD work and actual work. I love it!! read more

tl;dr: The Salt Studio is an amazing place that will heal your body and your heart. Also, buy a membership! It just might change your life. The Salt Studio is a hidden treasure in the corner of a strip mall in NE Pasadena (conveniently close to the freeway). The space is simple and calming, the online appointment system is easy to use, and the products they carry in the store (some of which they make) are fantastic. I've used the salt room several times and can absolutely vouch for the difference in my respiratory system before and after treatment. But the real gems here are the people. Diana, Pilar, and Kathleen are expert therapists, to be sure. More importantly, they fuse a passion for healing with their technical skills, treating body and heart with equal care. Their sensitivity to their clients' bodies and states of mind is truly remarkable. When you leave, you feel light and free and full of joy regardless of how broken you felt when you came in. I should mention that I am extremely picky about massage therapists and spent several years looking for someone I liked before finding Diana. When she opened The Salt Studio, I wanted to be supportive of her new business by purchasing a spa membership to receive a massage every month. My "support of her business" turned out to be much more valuable to me than it is to her, as each month her healing touch peels away a new layer of stress and anxiety to reveal the love below. I really can't say enough about how amazing Diana and The Salt Studio are. You should go find out for yourself. read more

I had a massage with Diana today, and it was amazing!! Diana is definitely gifted. All of the little touches just add to her abilities. She has a studio on her property that is so warm and relaxing; very beautiful. I loved the aromatherapy which she makes herself. Diana talked to me and I felt understood my needs very well. The table was very comfortable. Diana has such a calming, centered presence which really put me at ease. The music was just right. Diana is very intuitive and her massage was very healing. Her price is very generous for the service that she gives. I will definitely be returning to see her!! read more

Diana gives the best massages! The vibe is great there and it is always a treat to sit in the salt room. If you haven't checked out the Salt Studio yet, you should! read more

Omg...soooo relaxing. Got the organic facial here for the first time from Kathleen and she was so warm and welcoming. She made sure that I was comfortable and explained the process and let me know I could fall asleep and let go. I didn't think I would fall asleep but I did! Time went by so fast. Will definitely be back. read more

An amazing place for relaxation and massage. The salt scrub is invigorating and the massages I had by Adiel and David were amazing. The prices are extremely reasonable and the environment is very relaxing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

Great experience! Ally was super great treated me and my mother very kindly with care and love. I will be here every month. THANK YOU ALLY!

The one star for the really sweet therapist who did my facial and another star for the relaxing ambiance of this place. I was really excited to try this place since it is very close to home and the reviews are pretty stellar. The first time I came in, it was for a salt scrub which was fine. The second time I visited was for a facial that a friend had given me a gift certificate for. So I go in, mention it's a gift certificate booking, get the facial and come to the counter to close out. The person at the front desk (who may be the owner) then says oh, you actually owe $$ because the gift certificate had the wrong service written on it. This gift certificate was exactly what it was - a gift. So I had no clue what options there were or if I could even take their word for it. I had to call the gift giver and ask if what the company wrote on the gift certificate was wrong. She wasn't sure since there are several options and it was purchased awhile ago. Sure enough, the person at the front desk said that the person working there who booked it had written the wrong service and that she would "talk" to her. She even handed me a printout of the transaction w/ CC info. At that point, I was just in a very awkward position and wanted to get out of there. I just paid the extra $$ that I didn't expect to pay and left. I feel like the person or the company could have handled the situation a little better since it was their employee who messed up and wrote a more expensive service on a gift cert! It didn't make me feel like she even cared at all. Instead, she just said nope, the service is wrong and you owe X amount. I thought wow, what if I had no CC or cash on me since I expected to pay nothing but a tip. So bummed and will likely not be returning to this establishment. Hopefully no one else will have to experience what I did. read more

The massage was overall relaxing, but not one of the best I've had. I was uncomfortable lying there at one point and tried to shift to get more comfortable and was told to be still. I found it odd and off putting. I think asking if everything was okay would have been a more appropriate response. I should've spoken up in hindsight. The place is clean and the waiting area is comfortable. read more

I booked an acupressure cupping session with Sarah because I really needed to treat my reoccurring back pain from a car accident that I had many years ago. Cupping was the only way to take away my pain. I'm really glad to have found this place. Sarah is very knowledgeable about cupping. She knows exactly where the tension is and she knows where to place and move the cups on my back. Ever since I had my cupping sessions at the Salt Studio, I noticed a gradual improvement on my back. No more having to wake up in the morning with flaring back pain. My session was very quiet and comfortable. The place also has a relaxing scent. The staff is very friendly. read more

Had a reiki massage today and WOW!! My first reiki massage. Felt amazing afterwards. I do meditate with crystals and incense but I needed a little help balancing my chakras. Diana was amazing. She has a soothing positive energy. She told me what chakras were moving slowly and helped them clear and flow easily. I left feeling super light and bright! Such a wonderful experience overall. I will definitely be back! Thank you Diane!!! read more

I went for mothers day and enjoyed the salt room for 45 min, then had a salt scrub, and massage. It was pure relaxation!! I felt so good after I left. The prices are so reasonable for a beautiful spa and great massage. The massage includes aromatherapy and the use of an infrared amethyst mat. Both of which would be extra charges at any other spa. The staff really makes you feel special and cares about your health and relaxation. This is my new number one spa of choice! Not only was I so relaxed and rejuvenated after my experience but my allergies were gone for two days after being in the salt room. I highly recommend that everyone has this experience! read more

Great service from beginning to end. Facial with Kathleen was amazing. Salt room is therapeutic!

I almost hesitate to recommend him because he's already in high demand...but Philipp is the best therapist at The Salt Studio for deep tissue, responsiveness and sensitivity of touch. I really appreciate his calm, grounded energy and knowledge of TCM energy meridians. Today's massage was truly the best massage I've had in years. I will be back! read more

My son is 8 years old and LOVED the meditation for kids class last week. Today we went to the Happy Hour as a family. The Dude got a 20 minute message and he was MUCH more relaxed afterward. The Little Dude and I sipped Smartinis as he begged to go into the kids salt room. I enjoyed the Smartinis so much I got two of the tonics so I can make them at home. I also picked up the travel kit for Red Flower skin care they use with their facials. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!!!!! And there are 6 items with a good portion size inside this cute little purse like bag! Diana and Michael (owners) are great people who really believe in the services they provide and care about the people they provide them to. LOVELY! LOVELY! LOVELY! read more

I visited the Salt Studio for the first time last week. I called to see if they had any open appointments and they got me in for a massage just 45 minutes later. I had Pilar, who was lovely, and listened to me when I described the stress I felt in my shoulders. I only had a 30 minute massage, but felt rejuvenated when I left. I highly recommend the salt studio if you're looking for a reasonable and quality massage in Pasadena. Pilar was wonderful too! read more

I really loved the Dead Sea Mud treatment and massage by Pilar. It was my first time here and found it to be a very welcoming and calming experience. The Salt Studio is smaller than other massage places I've been but this makes it very cozy and grounding. I didn't try the salt treatment but I think I will in the future. read more

came here for my stuffy nose and congestion. after two full visits in the salt room, I felt tremendously better! thank you!!

Yesterday my husband, 8 year old son & I experienced our first Salt Therapy session at The Salt Studio in Pasadena. It was amazing!! We sat quietly in comfy chairs for 45 minutes breathing in the salt enriched air. The room was dimly lit & spa-like. It was the best "family time" we've had in a long time. No distractions, no screens - just us alone together. I'd highly recommend it just for that reason alone. But, I'm happy to report that the annoying cough I've had for the past 9 days is considerably better today! And, my 8 year old has already asked when we're going back. Halotherapy is great for lots of different conditions and general health. Thanks Salt Studio! We'll be back soon! read more

Diana creates the most comfortable, warm and nurturing environment in her massage salon. The space alone creates feelings of calming privacy and well-being. Doesn't get any better than that! Treat yourself - help heal the world with well-being! read more

I highly recommend her services. read more

I won a FREE massage by Diana through her website (how cool is that?) and went to her this week. She did such a wonderful job of creating a great massage experience. She spent time with me in the beginning asking questions to ensure a comfortable and relaxing massage. Then I got to pick out which aromatherapy oils I wanted-- which are all mixed by her! The massage was so fantastic, I almost fell asleep while she was massaging my feet :) And she even gave me free bath salts when I left. Diana is a great masseuse; I'd recommend her to anyone. read more

I went there yesterday for the first time and was having a particularly rough day and just not feeling like myself, as soon as I walked in I felt calmer, the atmosphere is positive and inviting. The ladies were so genuine and kind, I got an organic facial w ally and it was absolutely fantastic. Immediately she put me at ease and I could feel my body relax, the facial was flawless and I kid you not I walked out feeling like a different person. Can not say enough good about the staff, their helpfulness and their expertise !! Ally has 15 years of experience how the hell can you beat that? Afterwards I had a salt session and I still can't believe the difference I felt after I walked out of there. They offer every type of service you could possibly need and are unbelievably professional. I am so grateful that I found them! Can not wait to go back and bring my mom, if you're looking for a spa look NO FURTHER this is the number one place to be! Thank you so much ladies for my queen treatment look forward to seeing you again soon read more
