The treatment rooms are thoughtfully designed, with comfortable lighting, minimal clutter, relaxing music at just the right volume, and temperature-controlled massage tables that can be adjusted to your preference. Kameron was attentive, professional, and highly skilled. She took the time to focus on the areas where I was experiencing the most pain and tension and adjusted her technique accordingly. What stood out most was that she truly delivered a full 60-minute massage, which unfortunately isn't always the case at other establishments. Instead of bleaching, she explained that bleaching at all would damage it (obviously) but she explained it like it would ruin it curly or straight but she had bleached hair too? I tried to do my undercut instead because I could just shave it, but she still refused, I'm guessing cause she didn't know how to do my hair. She offered me a moisturizing treatment because my hair was dry, (mind you because I didn't wash my hair for the upcoming bleaching) and then to shave my undercut? I ended up bleaching hair at home (2 round) and got to my desired level and dyed it at home and my curls were fine but not ruined like she explained it.

She started with soaking my feet for a few minutes and then thoroughly massaged them for about 30 minutes before asking me to turn over to get my back massaged. She was able to massage me with strength, and I'm sure I fell asleep several times (but I knew she was still working on me). I was visiting from out of state, so I wouldn't be able to return, but if I lived nearby, I'd be there every week! After my float I relaxed in the lounge for a bit, where Danielle checked in to offer water or tea, and after reflecting for a few minutes she took me back to the salt loft. Their salt loft isn't your typical salt room, but a beautiful, custom, lofted space. I had the space to myself, so I reclined and just breathed for a bit. Then came the massage with Annie. It was only my second time having a shiatsu massage it was incredible! She mentioned that she trained at Barefoot in Madison which makes perfect sense because Al at Barefoot in Madison is a wizard as well. I love many of the personal touches Float Light offers, such as the kombucha tap area (with free samples!), the luxurious robes I wore during my visit, the soft lighting throughout the space, and much more. Float Light has taken the time and energy into getting the details right. I have only done 90 min sessions and am ready to do a 3 hour next. I like to go strait to a dark quiet place personally but they do have beautiful twinkling stars and music. So you can customize your experience. I have been too warm both times I've been there in 2 rooms but can just open the door to the tank and it works. This is a life changing experience. They offer a membership where you can float regularly at discounted prices. I am considering it. And will float again!
