I've been here for two or three deep tissue massages and have decided to finally get on my butt and write a review. Atmosphere: Parking is a wee bit tricky and you usually have to pay for it so bring change :) They are located on the second floor of the building. The reception area is really well lit and the reception desk is to the right immediately when you walk in. It has always been very clean in here. Service: Staff is friendly and prompt. The receptionist both times has been pleasant, professional and helpful. If I have a couple extra $$$ laying around from a paycheck I like to spend it here and enjoy a good massage. read more

I was lucky enough to get a same day 90 massage from Kong- not only did he hear what I asked but he executed the massage so well. I really felt heard and my body felt understood. I have had the same kink in my neck/shoulders for months- I've tried other therapists, dry needling, ice, etc etc, nothing has worked. He felt the spots and knew what to do. I am so appreciative and bummed I am just visiting from minneapolis. When I visit I will be sure to book with him (hopefully he stays for a long time)! If you are a local and want some detailed deep tissue attention, ask for kong. As someone who has done massage in the past and has had quite a few, I think I can say this is the best massage I've ever had. Fiancé and I went in for a couples Swedish massage, wonderful WONDERFUL experience. Kong was amazing; best massage I've had yet. Fiancé was pleased with his person as well (can't remember her name) would definitely go back. The only reason for -1 star is it was VERY expensive; and for that reason I would not go back. We booked a couple's massage for my boyfriend's birthday on Wednesday last week. The salon is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately that's where the positive side of my experience ends. This review is specifically for my experience with my masseuse (I won't mention her name but I know the owner can look it up and see who I'm referring to) since my boyfriend's masseuse was very good. I've gotten many massages before in different cities at different price points. I have never had such a bad experience. Most of my massage was done with one hand while her other hand rested on the table. Then she would use her other hand while resting the one she was using before. It is my understanding that hands are the main tool massage therapists have so I have no idea why she wasn't using both. To add to this, she wasn't using her entire hand. For most of the massage she chose to use one finger. She kept going back to my buttock area over and over and digging really deep with one finger. I had to tell her twice it was hurting me. She would move on to a different part of my body and then go right back to my buttock. That was the area she massaged the most which blows my mind. I've never met someone that accumulates stress in that area or has knots there. She barely touched my head, hands or feet. She didn't seem to have a system, it was more like jumping from one random spot to another. Once she had me turn around I noticed my boyfriend's masseuse was using a towel to pull his neck, Im not gonna lie, I was jealous. He was so relaxed and here I was extra tense from her poor performance. I normally would've stopped her and walked out but I wasn't going to ruin my boyfriend's birthday gift. My facing up experience didn't get any better because my masseuse kept breathing on my face (they ask you if you want them to wear a mask which I didn't care either way. I didn't realize that meant having your masseuse right on you breathing the entire time. My boyfriend's had a mask on by choice) $120 later (yes, I still gave her a tip because I'm too damn nice) I'm twice more tense and having all kinds of neck and back pain. Awful! I don't know what type of certification you require before hiring but please have her go back to training. All of this is absolutely unacceptable. I'm a massage fanatic and I'm not very picky. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. I wish I could go back in time and walk out on her :( read more

My mother and I went for a Swedish massage here for the first time and were happily surprised with both of our massages! Environment was welcome, the masseuses - Anna and the other ( can't remember her name!) we're just the queens of making us comfortable and relaxed. Pressure was on point and she listened to my needs and addressed all of them! One thing to note before going is this is downtown, so u may have to parallel park or park about a block away on the street. read more

I was looking for massage therapists who are good at deep tissue. And this is the place I rate the highest so far! First of all, this place is very easy to book your appointments through Yelp. You can clearly see the schedule and who is available when. There's no need to call to confirm your appointment once it's confirmed on Yelp. If you are a yelper too, it saves you much time. The location is great which is right in downtown Appleton. It's on the second floor. The space of this spa is definitely professional, pristine, and decorative. Truly a place to pamper yourself. I came for deep tissue massage and I worked with Brie. She is amazing at deep tissue. She listens to your needs and adjust her techniques. Absolutely a young professional you must give it a try! Last Friday I enjoyed my second massage (it was a couples massage (other masseuse's name unknown)) with Jo, at Inspire Spa. My first was about 5-6 weeks before. I'll review for both experiences. First experience... It was the beginning of the day and I decided I was getting a massage that day, tho I didn't know where. I called around and a few places were not able to get me in with such a late notice (same day) I did a google search and found inspire, booked online in a time slot they had available and went there shortly thereafter. The front desk reception area and staff was friendly and professional. I LOVE the color scheme. I was offered something to drink while I filled out my paperwork. I met with Jo, and she brought me back. She did an amazing job on my massage, and constantly checked on me to make sure the pressure was just right. When I went up to pay, the receptionist and I had a great conversation about school, and other massage facilities, among other things. I expressed interest in booking a couples massage, and they gave me a tour of the couples room. So I booked it.... Days before I got appointment reminder emails, which was great. It Was easy to confirm them electronically. When My Boyfriend and I arrived, we were greeted in the same way as before. .....They are just very friendly and inviting here. The massages were once again spot on-relaxing. My boyfriend had no complaints on his ( he has had only one other massage years before, from a massage student) and said he enjoyed this one so much more. Based on the fact that after this massage we turned into sleepy lunchtime companions, i'd say they accomplished their task. I will definitely come back here. I'm floating on a cloud of bliss! I just had a massage at Inspire Spa, and it was the best massage of my life. Unfortunately, I'm an out of towner that happened to get a surprise massage from my boyfriend, so I won't be coming back any time soon. But, if I lived here it would be worth a monthly visit! At one point I was going to ask my masseuse to come back to NY with me (sadly I did not get her name). The control, level of pressure, and areas attended to made me leave feeling like jelly. I've reserved a date (January 9)with them since November for a Xmas present to my spouse. Got a awesome deal. They honor their deal, even if it's 1 month past due to my schedule. I really appreciate that. Pro: they responded pretty quickly on Facebook when I have questions. Very friendly. Nice atmosphere (it's in down town) but inside was pretty interesting. Con: it was our very first time. Kind of didn't really know where to park. But did found a parking lot down a block. My spouse wanted deep massage and didn't know that we can change our massage type into something else as stated in fb. We got the couples massage. (Could of explain to us or remind us that we could switched, since it's our first time) overall the massage I would give it a 4 out of five. I would go again. read more

I had a 90 min massage with Jo Smith. It was AMAZING!!! I had some knots in my center back. Normally it hurts to get knots out, but she worked on them and it didn't really hurt! Switched the originally booked therapist without notice three days before my appointment, then cancelled my appointment less than an hour ahead of time on a Saturday, at the point in the day when everywhere else was booked. I was visiting home for the weekend following a marathon, in desperate need of a deep tissue massage. 15% off my next visit does not reimburse me for the wasted time and two unexpected schedule changes, especially considering I am not here often. Had a couple's massage the other night for our wedding anniversary. It was awesome. First off, it was for a Friday night. There was only one person available (doesn't quite work for a couples massage) but the person said she would try and get someone there. Called me back a few minutes later and let me know she could do it. It is located in a really cool historic building downtown which started it off right. The decor is beautiful. Also, greeted warmly by the staff, with the two ladies waiting for us. The massage: Awesome room, awesome ambiance, awesome music. Before the massage, the two asked us about problem areas, pressure, etc. then gave exactly what was asked for. I was so relaxed...in heaven. My masseuse asked how I was doing and all i could get out was a guttural grunt. Kind of embarrassing, but what do you want? I was that relaxed. A small box of chocolates for my wife from the staff was the icing on the cake (done because it was our anniversary, not an every time thing). Definitely going back as soon as possible. read more

I just received the worst wax of my entire life! I went in for a Brazilian wax yesterday and that's definitely NOT what I left with. I was shocked when the esthetician told me my wax was over because I was still covered in hair. I had patches of hair everywhere! It was so bad It wouldn't even pass for just a regular bikini wax let alone a Brazilian wax. This was my first time getting this area waxed so when she hurried out of the room at the end I wasn't even positive that she was done. I still had clumps of wax stuck to me when I left. Confused I started calling my friends trying to figure out what just happened. I ended up calling inspire and they told me to come in and I could get it fixed. I went in the next day and the same woman was going to work with me again. She takes me to the room and waxed me again. She then starts to put things away so I quickly look down and THERES STILL HAIR. so I ask her what about all this hair and she goes " oh I can get the tweezers, but I already went over that with the wax." So at this point I've been in this room for an additional 40 minutes from the original appointment. I tell her that I definitely want her to tweeze it. There's no way I've gone through all this to go home with a hairy vagina. So she starts tweezing and then she gives up and goes back to the wax. After another 30 minutes of her waxing and tweezing I finally call it quits even though there's still hair. I'm then ushered out the door without a chance to talk to anyone about how poor my experience was. Really wish I went anywhere else to get this done. read more

My wife and I had a couples massage this past week and we were both very satisfied with the service and message. The staff were friendly and courteous. We both had a deep tissue massage and it was extreme and thorough. Both masseuse's were fantastic. Had a deep tissue massage with Britnee today. Unbelievable. I will be going back. The atmosphere of the older Zuehlke Building and the atmosphere in the spa is very cool. You don't get the fancy robes and some of the other fancy treatments, but if you want an excellent massage give Inspire a try. You can book online very easily. read more

Very disappointed with lack of information given at booking of appointment for a waxing. Could have scheduled appointment at a better date that would have work with their prerequisites.
