I would like to give 5 stars for the service however 0 stars for the food. Food was less than great and very mediocre. Food tastes like it literally comes out of the freezer. You're better off buying hot pockets and Jose Cuervo Magarita mix :( read more

Great food! Wow that steak quesadilla was worth it! Also try the banana pudding! Great place to eat and bring the friends. Parking is a disaster of course because of the location and they only have valet for guests. Once inside we were seated promptly and our waitress was great. We got there just in time for live music and it made for a very nice evening. A little loud in here but you'd expect that with a bar and live music inside. I will return to this place for sure! read more

Worst place I've been to, 2 hours to get cold food, server was laughing when we told him it was cold. Clearly they do not care about the service here read more

The drinks are disgusting because they are overly sweet. The waiter talked me out of my regular drink order to get a frozen Moscow mule. They were having a frozen drink special and I guess it is easier to serve that than having to make a regular Moscow mule. The outside vibe was nice. read more

The venue is so cute and seems like you are about to embark on a great experience.... But the service and food will quickly and sadly disappoint. Long wait times, wrong order, forgotten food, forgotten drinks, inability to calculate a bill, and this was with only 5 other tables in the whole building (aka a slow day). read more

I really like the Rustic.. Valet parking is $10 Waitresses and Bartenders were friendly. We had a party of 20. The hostess was very polite and tried to sit us quickly. We missed happy hour so the drinks were pricey. There was a live band until 11. I will definitely return for happy hour. read more

Nick was our server today. he was very enthusiastic and fast! will definitely be coming back.

Great concert venue! Was a really cool atmosphere and the food was great! I got the drunk chick (beer chicken) and it has so much flavor! Double queso was also enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back read more

My friends and I really enjoy The Rustic for the great food and atmosphere. We come in with patience to tolerate the poor service and accept the $10 valet or the hunt for parking. The service is beyond slow - especially if you are with a large group. The food tho.. I have never had anything bad here. Their kitchen is amazing!!! Just be patient :) read more

Loved the food. Restaurant has a great feel to it. Very open space. Beautiful view. The cactus fritters were good. I had the veggie burger very filling burger. The lemon drop margarita was good. Not too sweet. The deviled eggs were delicious. The "throw a shit glass at the bell" thing is entertaining and a fun addition read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon to give it a try. The place is super cute and "rustic". They have an outdoor space too where they have concerts. Came with a party of three for a family styled brunch and the spread was AMAZING! It's $16.95 per person and you get eight courses. The spicy fried chicken was my favorite! Would recommend for a cute spot for brunch, lunch or dinner. Will definitely be coming back. They have valet parking in the lot but there's plenty of parking on the street next to it. read more

This is an awesome brunch place. I can't speak to their lunch, but if you're ever in the area on the weekend. You need to come here! You get to try everything on their menu and it's all very good. My favorite was the cinnamon cake donut! Definitely get over here and try it! Brand new and amazing! Huge place. Good music! read more

The venue is great but they're struggling with execution We went on a Saturday evening - a peak time, yes We waited about 45 min to sit on a picnic table 20 min in line to order a drink Another 30 min in line to order food that never came When we sat down food was quick but very ok No toilet paper in the bathrooms They lost my friends car in valet Love music lasted 10 min before audio issue and the band left read more

We went here after a big houston rocket win!! We had a baby so we wanted things to go. But they only do to go after December 1st?! I don't get this silly rule. Regardless, the waiter was able to put our order in and then give us to go boxes. We got the chicken tamales. These were made really well despite being a little cold by the time we got back to the hotel. We also got the chicken burger. It was well prepared. It had a wood like cook flavor. I really liked the accompanying potato salad. It's has a cool bar area to watch games. Also has some saddles for some nice pictures. There's also an area where you can swing while you wait for food. I would definitely go back and enjoy a nice game here. read more

The atmosphere here is awesome and the decor is cool. We came around 1:30pm on a Thursday. It was really empty so we expected the service to be top notch. It wasn't bad but there were more employees than customers and it took long to get refills and for our waiter to come over to us. The food was really good as we ordered off the lunch menu but we did feel that the options were limited and pricey for what the options were. We would come back during a weekend night to see bands play. The outside looks fun but since it was a week day afternoon, there wasn't anything going on out there. read more

My dad and stepmom pick me up one weekend wanting to listen to country music and have some drinks. My step mom heard of this place and my mother actually highly recommended this place to us. We were not expecting when we arrived how huge this place is. It made us feel like we were at an outside theater but with drinks and food service. By the way the service was top-notch, I could not complain about any of the bartenders. They were very informative and very patient even though it was a very busy night for them. We decided to get some artichokes as a appetizer and they were super delicious and the margarita that you see on my picture is very strong and pretty much all you need is two. Surprisingly the popsicle for that inside a margarita I believe is infused with liquor. There is sitting at tables, there is seating at the bar and there is also sitting on the side and I just fell in love with this place when it comes to possibly going on a date. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy this place and possibly get to eat some of their food read more

As all the reviews have pointed out, the atmosphere is better than the food and service. I had to wave a waiter/waitress down just to get an order in. Had to do that a couple times just to receive service. Double queso: you're not missing a thing. The dips come in small dipping cups. Pimento dip was decent. The chips were stale. Burger with onion rings: burger was good. Juicy brisket. Onion rings were thin and not crispy Probably will return for a show but not any time soon for the food read more

Farm to table food & a great bourbon selection. Being from out of town, this is the Texas feel I was hoping for! Wood/Rustic interior, good menu, good cocktails, live music, longhorns & southern hospitality. Menu is slightly small, but we all found something we liked. read more

Awesome food, and drinks are strong. Highly recommend the spicy margarita and the cactus fries. Service is amazing. Wow! What a venue! Never seen anything like this before. It would appear the music hall is designed to be a mini amphitheatre. The sound was bumping and the beers were pouring. We didn't have any food but, what we saw on the plates looked great. Suggestions- music every night! Moose Out read more

AMAZING service! Zoie was my server, I loved how sweet and kind she was!she explained the menu very well. I looking forward to come again! 10/10 read more

The ambiance is so Texas! Like the real Texas it's country with a clear influence from Mexico which I appreciate. The food is different it's a mix of bbq, Tex-mex, and southern cooking. The beer can chicken needs to be experienced. They take a small game hen and they cook it with delicious spices and then take it off the can of beer and drizzle the contents (a lime butter) over the chicken. It's amazing and the potato salad is worth a try too. Some of the menu items are weird and stuff I don't have any interest in trying but if you are a culinary adventurer this is the place for you. I will come back for sure read more

Charmaine is the best server I have ever had. Please ask for her when you come in. Food is awesome.

Went for happy hour and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and there wasn't even a band playing. I would bet this place is awesome with a band. Sarah was great. Never been to this location and decided to see a show on 9/5/2020. Their website encouraged you to RSVP for the event and get tickets (tickets were free). When I went to the hostess for her to scan my tickets, she was rude and said that the tickets do not matter, and that it was just to give the venue a headcount, and that it was first come first serve. I was aware that it was first come first serve, but I just found it odd that all of their other events didn't have this policy. This was the only event that you needed to RSVP for. I just don't see the point in getting people to RSVP and then emailing them their QR code if it won't be honored. Anyways, they said we had to get on a wait list for a table. Asked them about wait times, and they said they don't give an estimated time. Well ok then. So while you're waiting for your table, they give you a plastic number that you have to watch for your number to be called. Again, this is inefficient. No table buzzers? No text that your table is ready? You can miss your number if you're not looking at this tiny screen for an hour. The Rustic can say all they want about how they are following CDC guidelines, but I assure you they are not. I'm surprised the city hasn't shut them down. They make you wait for your table on an outdoor patio with a bar. IT WAS PACKED. People were not six feet apart. They are not wearing masks. People are not wearing masks when they get up from their table. The wait to get a drink was probably a good 3 or 4 people deep on all sides. I felt like I was at a midtown college bar. Hundreds of people were packed in like sardines. We didn't feel comfortable out there so we found a high stool table next to the bar inside. We thought it was fair game because there is no signage that says that this table is closed for "social distancing." Again, the hostess came to us and told us we had to wait on the crowded patio. I just found it so ironic. Won't be back. Staff is rude and inefficient. They DO NOT follow CDC guidelines (they can lie all they want). read more

This a pretty cool place! Very spacious and for how busy it was on the day of the Kentucky Derby we didn't have to wait for a table. Both got the Shrimp Avocado salad which came out quickly. Sizable portions. Service was nothing spectacular, in-fact, the waitress instead of saying hello whipped the sweat from her forehead and said how tired she was from starting early in the morning. Nevertheless, music was great, had a stage with a DJ. Definitely a place for a large group of people to meet up for a special occasion like a birthday or small party, etc. I'd recommend for that. Large beer on tap options too. read more

Although the wait was not fun or easy, once we were seated Tyler, our server, was amazing. He was quite friendly and patient with us and made some great recommendations. The food itself was AMAZING. Portion size was good and the flavor was just right. If you are ever in the area, pop in and check it out. Our only disappointment was that we were not able to enjoy the full atmosphere with no live band performing that night. Great look and atmosphere to relax and enjoy a great meal. read more

This restaurant was amazing, they went above and beyond when we walked in with a very large party (40-50) after a cheer competition, 30 mins. before their kitchen was closing. The manager Noah made sure we were taken care of every step of the way, even jumped in to help his staff with taking orders, delivering food/drinks, etc. The food was delicious and they had a great selection of beers on tap. The bartenders Tony and Shane didn't fail to disappoint and were on it with our drink and food orders. After a long day at a competition they went above to ensure we had a good experience and we are so thankful for their hospitality. Will definitely return when we are back in Houston. read more

My sister and I went to the Rustic on Friday and we really loved the atmosphere! All the employees were really nice and accommodating ! The food was really good as well! We got the brisket burger and the rustic bowl both really good with a lot of flavor ! They only thing I would change is that they really don't play any Latin music or have any Latin bands playing like Banda etc. A lot of the menu comes from Hispanic ideas therefore, I believe there should be some Latin representation in the music as well! Other than that I really enjoyed my experience and will be coming back! read more

I have been here about a half-dozen times, and I really want to like this place. The menu is good, the size and layout are impressive. All very appealing. But-but-but... The quality of the service is truly bad. One instance, the waitress gave me back the wrong credit card. My friend got mine (our cards were of the same bank). She even said my name as she handed it back. Neither of us noticed until we were both on planes, 1,500 miles apart. It was a problem to be avoided. The bar service has also been slow. I don't believe it is the fault of the tenders, but they seem understaffed. My last visit was a model of incompetence. We were seated promptly, but 15 minutes passed and we were never served. I had to ask the front reception to send someone. The drink order came in another 15 minutes. The meals and the appetizers came out at the same time. My friend got the wrong drink. Almost every interaction had some nagging issue. The place was less than half-full. It seems they create their own chaos. Again, I think they are understaffed, so they rush, and make mistakes. All I desire is prompt, courteous, and correct service. I am patient when it is busy, and I feel for the staff. So the blame lies directly with the management. I am done going here. UPDATE AUGUST 2, 2019 The Rustic, via Yelp, contacted me, and then we exchanged some email, and they were very gracious, promising me gift cards and a much better experience upon my next visit. To quote - "I will get it mailed out ASAP, thank you again for giving us another chance. When you come in please ask for me so I can ensure you have an amazing experience." Well, a month later, the gift cards never arrived (so much for "ASAP"), and thus, the "amazing experience" will never happen. I work downtown, and a group of eight of us were going for dinner and drinks post-work, and most of the group wanted to go here. But I talked them out of it. So, Rustic, if you are reading this, you can keep your gift cards. If they are in the mail, I will throw them out upon receipt. You lost me and everyone else I can influence. read more

This is one of our favorite Houston restaurants to visit when we have guests in town. They have live music playing on stage which makes for a great atmosphere. Every food item we have had has been phenomenal, especially the hot chicken and cheese sandwich! If you are coming to Rustic you must ask for Ethan as your waiter! His customer service was the best we have ever had. We had a party of 11 and he was extremely tentative, friendly and made sure we took advantage of the happy hour specials! read more
