As soon as my wife and I entered the store, we were warmly greeted by Abby. We told her what shoes I was considering, and she found them and brought them to us. Abby could tell by the way I was lacing the new shoe that I should wear a medium. She was right, and the shoes fit perfectly. The color I wanted was not in stock, but she told us that she could order my color, and the shoes would arrive in a week. A week later, Karen called to tell me that the shoes had arrived. She helped me try them on, and they felt just right. I was very pleased with the friendliness and the know-how of both Abby and Karen. The entire experience was excellent, and I love my new shoes. Great shop and staff! They take the time to really understand your needs, fit you properly and recommend shoes for your needs. They have a plethora of great accessories and things like gels too to stock up. They're also always supporting local races and create community events like the Winter Haven run in December, which makes running more fun and helps create community here in Tucson. A great spot we're always happy to support! read more

Excellent service, excellent inventory and footwear quality. I will return to shop there again. I have also recommended The Running Shop to my friends and family. Well done! read more

Stopped in to The Running Shop this afternoon with a few random running shoe questions and they were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and took time to understand my questions and were patient with my lack of knowledge. They told me they didn't want to sell me something I didn't need and the advice they gave me resulted me in not buying anything yet, but there customer service has made them my new local running shoe store. They also gave me some information on local runs coming up. read more

I reserved my Brooks Launch on line and drove over an hour to pick them up cause I didn't want to wait for shipping. My shoes were at the counter when I arrived and the gentleman that helped was very knowledgeable with Brooks almost had me pick up another pair while I was their but ultimately I didn't feel it in the shoe. Great store lots of selections, prices were decent and store was neat and clean. I would recommend shopping here for all your running needs. read more

This is a great local shop that has a great selection and very fair pricing. The floor staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. A special nod to Karen who really took the time to get me into the right shoes for my feet, my running frequency and venues, and my gait! She's awesome! read more

Can't believe I haven't left a review for this place yet! I've been getting my running shoes here for years and I really love it! They have a really great selection of running shoes here and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They also gave plenty of running gear (shirts, shorts, hydration packs, etc..) I do wish they had UCan gels The prices are good, on par or better than chain stores and by shopping here, you're really helping the local economy. read more

I wish I had gotten his name. The guy there was so awesome!! He spoke with knowledge, passion and confidence about running and the products he showed me. Very helpful, friendly plus my Mizunos are my favorite read more

A friend recommended this store and I stopped in here for the first time this week. Geoff watched me walk, asked what I was looking for and brought out many shoes for me to try. I walked around in all of them and they let me run in whichever ones I wanted to on the sidewalk outside the store. Geoff was extremely helpful and patient. I can definitely recommend buying running shoes at this store. They also have different clothes and accessories as well. They didn't have a size I wanted to try for one of the shoes and are ordering it for me to try on. read more

The Running Shop is a long time family favorite of ours. Their attentive service can't be beat. They consistently have a great selection of sneakers; from the most recent trends to great discounts on classic and discontinued pairs. They always take their time to find the perfect fit for your feet + activity needs. read more

While not runners, my partner and I put in significant miles on paved and unpaved trails. When we first moved to Tucson a few years ago, we searched for a shop that would take the time to listen to our needs and find the perfect shoe match. The Running Shop did not disappoint! The staff member asked what we liked/didn't like about our current shoes, watched us walk, and offered several options based on our needs. We left with supportive, comfortable shoes that worked great for us. Fast forward to 2020. We've put in some extra miles the first part of this year and need some new gear. We saw that The Running Shop has curbside pickup, delivery, and on-line ordering options available. I called in, and the shop was able to give me the current model information for the shoes we typically buy since they keep records of purchases. They even had my partner's skinny size 13s in stock. Better still, because being a regular customer garners "points" that can be used on future purchases, we were able to save $. The shoes will arrive at our door shortly with contactless delivery. Great job, The Running Shop! read more

I've been supporting this shop for the last four years. Great customer service and the staff make sure the right shoes fit for comfort. I buy a pair once a year and I haven't aggravated my pre-existing injuries. Will continue to support this business. read more

Excellent customer service!! Great stock of shoes, gear, and tools for runners, walkers, and the like. Easy parking lot to navigate. Good selection of sale items too. read more

The employees at The Running Shop were very helpful and accommodating. They offer a large selection of shoes and they were very patient and knowledgeable as I tried to find the right fit and shoe for my needs. They did not have my size in stock, however, they went above and beyond by hand delivering my shoes to the hotel I was staying at as soon as the the shoes came in! I would highly recommend The Running Shop for your next show purchase! read more

I have a tough foot to fit and despise shoe shopping for my hobbit feet. The staff here were friendly and welcoming, they worked hard to make sure I left happy with a shoe that fit well. Staff are knowledgeable about the shoes and know how to help you find the perfect fit. This will probably be my new go to spot for tennis shoes. They have a great rewards program -spend $200 and earn a $20 reward. What a deal! I appreciated how the staff member I worked with attempted to find me a shoe off their discount rack before finding me a full priced shoe. My wide feet often make discount racks hard for me to ever find anything, but still appreciated his attempt. Great customer care. read more

We went here to find a pair of running shoes for my wife. She is a fairly new runner and was concerned that they might be a little snooty about running. To the contrary, they were very helpful and took the time to find just the right shoe for her. The prices were just a few dollars higher than online shops, but when you factor in shipping they are basically the same price. Plus when you buy online you can't try the shoe out to make sure they fit well. It's a great store with one on one service that you don't get online or at big-box stores. read more

The Running Shop is a great local place to go when you're in need of a new pair of running shoes or any sportswear. On our last visit, we were helped by Jeff. He was extremely knowledgeable about both the product and the biomechanics involved with shoe selection. He was very helpful, and made the trip productive and enjoyable! They also offer a military discount, which is always welcome :) read more

This was store was a new experience for me. I tried on a friends pair of HOKA Recovery Sandals at a recent dinner party and could not wait until I got to the Running Shop to get my own pair. I have had a knee injury slowly healing over the last 4 weeks. No pain with these sandals! Sharon worked with me and had me fixed up in no time. It occurred to me my feet do not feel this good in my current trainers, so I got a new pair of Brooks-I feel great and no foot pain either! Thanks to all the staff. See you on the trail-Robin B. read more

I visit this store when I need new "running" (in my case, walking) shoes. They have a great selection and the staff is very helpful in finding just the right fit for your foot. They also carry a good selection of socks and running apparel....If you are a runner, this is a fabulous store to visit for all your needs. I like the fact this store and Worldly Soles are in the same convenient shopping center. Feet friendly place! read more

Great customer service. Did not have my color of shoe in stock. Ordered them and had them in 2 days. Will do business again

They are so knowledgable and helpful! I got a great pair of sneakers that are really comfortable and fit properly. I won't buy running shoes anywhere else now that I've been here. read more

1. Knowledgeable and experienced staff - I felt like I was getting the inside scoop when I made my purchase. 2. Accommodating - I'm aware that I can be a pain; I called them back to change the shoe color and they special ordered it for me and made the exchange without a grumble. 3. Great inventory - I really felt like they were a one-stop for running gear. Will definitely be back. Thanks! read more

Wasn't able to find what I was looking for, but you couldn't ask for more accommodating folks. They even called other stores to try to help me find what I was shopping for. Great service and super knowledgeable. It's good to talk about running and running products with other runners. You won't regret stopping in, they're just wonderful. read more

Stopped by The Running Shop to buy a new pair of running shoes. Called ahead and they set aside the brand, size I wanted to try on. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The shoes fit perfect and walked out of the store wearing them within 15 minutes. Priced the same as Amazon and supporting a local business felt good. Also greatly appreciated their concern about Covid-19. Staff had numerous sanitary stations, wore masks and staged fitting areas far apart. Thank you The Running Shop!!! read more

The running shop is a legit locally owned shop. I buy all of y running shoes here. Why? Because they take the time to fit you properly. The staff is super nice and the customer service is pretty darned good. My only wish is that take selection was a little bigger. But running inane about style. It's about finding the right shoe and the right and that's what these guys are all about. Support these local shops. You won't get the same experience buying your shoes at a big box store. read more

The Running Shop has a great selection and they're local, so when I won a gift certificate for the store I was pretty excited as I needed a new pair of running shoes. When I walked into the store it felt like the life had been sucked out of the place. The guy who helped me asked if I needed help or if I just wanted to check out the selection. His lack of enthusiasm led me to just check out the selection. He offered little assistance on the shoes that I asked him about and if he was an expert on running shoes, he didn't let on. It was like pulling teeth getting this kid to talk to me. I don't feel like I should have to ask a bunch of questions when I'm in a shop full of experts, they should offer information and my questions can be based off of the info they provide me. Perhaps if I was a professional runner and knew what I was looking for the experience would have been better. Alas, I am not and simply decided on a pair of shoes that I knew had worked for a couple friends. With such a great location and great selection of stuff it seems like the management of this business would encourage their employees to provide their customers some service. The service I received was minimal and I don't plan on going back. read more

I've had a good experience every time I've been here. First of all the sales people don't really bother you the way they do at other sports stores. They're just polite and available. I needed help finding new running shoes and they listened to me and brought out some suggestions but never tried to pressure me into anything. But the greatest part is when the Brooks I recently purchased weren't working for me at all, they let me come in and exchange them even though they had been worn several times (but were still in brand new condition) and helped me find a pair that had what I needed. They have a good selection if running clothes and always have lots of merchandise in the sale rack. I'm definitely remaining a loyal customer. Extra points for the little old man runner who hangs out at the shop and jokes with everyone. read more

Great running store!!! Geoff is super helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to making sure you're in the right gear. Also, he knows the area well and will point you towards the right places to go running. Definitely recommend. read more

I haven't purchased shoes here, only clothing, which may be why I didn't receive the service everyone else seems to be raving about. The Running Shop has an excellent selection of clothing and shoes for such a small shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did they have a UV-protective top in the color and style I wanted, they carried it in three different brands. However, I got the impression I was really bothering the lady working that day by asking to try things on, or attempting to strike up a casual conversation while she rang up my purchase. I'm glad that she let me browse without breathing down my neck the entire time, but a bit more courtesy on her part would have been appreciated. read more

This place is great, they have really good customer service, their salesperson (forgot her name unfortunately) was awesome. She had me try on probably 8 pairs of shoes and was patient with me until I found the perfect pair. Definitely a good place to go! read more

It was time for new running shoes and having a gift certificate for this shop brought me in. It is suggested to bring in your old sneakers so they can see the wear pattern on them. I followed this recommendation and the gentleman that helped me took a good look at them to see what shoes would be the best bet for me. At first, he brought out the same exact type of shoe that I brought in but after discussing my needs with him, he recommended a less expensive shoe of the same brand. Not as much cushioning works fine for me at this junction and I am glad that I have found a new shoe that works as well (if not better). The prices are comparable to other local shops that specialize in selling quality running shoes. Good customer service and a good selection of shoes would lead me to returning to The Running Shop. read more

I needed new shoes for walking around campus and doing Orangtheory. My arches and ankles need a lot of support because they have a tendency to roll in. Jeff went through about 6 or 7 different pairs for me after listening to what I needed, and he made sure I got the right shoes. He was super helpful and seemed to care about all of the customers in there. Definitely will go back. read more

I came in here having never gotten running shoes before and wanting to get started running. The staff was very helpful, watched how I walk and recommended a few shoes for me. They are very patient and will spend forever with you getting the right fit. I just got an amazing pair of shoes, which is allowing me to walk again after getting foot pain. They still had a record of the last pair of shoes I bought 4 years ago! Though the new model of the same shoe had changed style now, and wasnt as comfortable, they went through trying about 8 pairs of different shoes with me, paired with different inserts. And the "kicker" - The pair that finally fit the best was on clearance and only cost $56 - less than I would have gotten it at a discount shoe store. I looove my new shoes. Though I have been on my feet up to 9 hours a day, my foot pain is reducing daily. From now on, no discount stores for me. I'm buying all my walking shoes at the running shop - I really want them to stay in business! read more

I went in here one day to pick up a race packet and ended up buying a few other goodies. They have a good selection of clothing and the prices are very reasonable. The employees were helpful, especially considering the place was packed with people picking up their packets. In addition they carry a lot of the other running accessories you cannot find at large sporting good stores. I have not gone in for shoes, and will possibly try that out another time. read more

This is a bomb local store. First of all, I got there about 15 minutes before closing. Terrible, I know, but it's hard for me to get out of work any earlier than that. They didn't act like it was a nuisance at all and I got the full treatment. They analyzed my stride and pulled out 3-4 pairs for me to run around the block in. When I found the perfect pair, they told me that if it didn't work out within a couple weeks, I could bring them back - they didn't want me running around in shoes that were bad for my feet. I mean seriously... how much better does it get? I'd recommend this store to anyone looking for personalized assistance in shopping for a new pair of shoes. Before I went here I'd gone to another running shoe store that does a "footstrike analysis." Definitely didn't have the same warm fuzzy feeling. I returned those shoes and kept the ones from The Running Shop. read more
