We've only just started coming here this year when my daughter was trying to find the right shoe. The store was easy to find and the strip mall they're located in had lots of open parking. Sometimes the owner's dog will be onsite and always loves being petted and will nuzzle you anytime you stop. What sets this store apart from all other shoe stores was their attention to your specific shoe needs and they worked with not just my daughter but myself as well to find the right shoe. Each shoe we tried was picked for us after understanding what we wanted to solve. They even let us try out the shoes around the strip mall and then at home. I guess when you're in your thirties, you go to a shoe store to get your feet measured and analyzed by a computer only to have that said computer and a young genz-er call your feet a big back and get you comfortable albeit ugly shoes. On a warm Sunday, my husband and I decided to walk from the farmer's market to this store to get our feet measured. The workers who were there were very friendly and helpful even though my husband told me I might've offended them because I said one of their suggested shoes was ugly. LISTEN. It's not his fault comfortable shoes are ugly. I look at these shoes like I look at my mortality and body - uglier, wider, but more comfortable. It's been 8 years since my last review but I've shopped here exclusively for my running shoes. I will stand by my 5 star review as I stuck with the Asics Fortitude for as long as they made them.. Until they got discontinued... And I was the gal that scoured the internet finding several back up pairs so that I could continue to wear them until I couldn't anymore. Here I am now in need of a new pair of running shoes and The Running Revolution was the only place I knew I would come back to. Why? Because I knew the service would be impeccable.. And because I love to shop and support local business when I can. I can't even tell you my immense gratitude when I came in yesterday right at closing time with only about 10 minutes to spare. The owner, Christopher was in there and apologized that he probably would not have enough time to help me. I explained my situation and how I was a loyal Asics Fortitude gal. He looks at me and says, "Well you're in luck I have something for you because there's a lot of you Fortitude folks that need replacements." Music to my ears. He looks at my feet and asks me what size I am.. I tell him between a 7.5 and 8. He says I can tell you're probably an 8 and definitely a wide. I'm even luckier because he says he has both a regular wide and a "2E"= double wide. I try on both and the double wide was a win. Once you know, you know. Christopher has to be a "shoe wizard" as one of his associates called him. I am now the proud owner of a new pair of the most comfortable pair of New Balance shoes. My Orangetheory coach Vinh recommended this store when I asked about good shoes to wear during my workouts. Running Revolution owner Chris measured my feet and recommended Altra Torin 6 shoes which are very flat and stable, ideal characteristics for a high intensity workout with lots of lateral movement. I was also looking for a comfortable all day walking shoe for a work conference and Chris recommended the "most popular selling shoe in the country" -- Brooks Ghost. Both shoes turned out fantastic -- the Altra Torin 6 are a vast improvement in feel during my workouts than my previous running shoes which had a curved arch. I am fairly new to the road-running world and needed a fresh start in terms of new running shoes. I have been to only one other local-ish running store store, and I can easily say that my experience at Running Revolution today was better in terms of customer service. Plus, seeing Jack (the dog) upon entering the store already gave me a good feeling about this place! Ken was very personable and helped both my mom (who was looking for new walking shoes) and me, answering our technical questions about shoes, running form, and races, as well as being patient with all the shoes that we tried on. Some stores can make you feel like you're asking stupid questions, so as a beginner, it's something that sticks out to me. Ken also busted out the camera to record my running form which was something that I hadn't done before but super helpful. I will say that the pricing at these local stores can be pretty steep unlike at a chain. However, I value the customer service and don't mind paying some reasonably extra $$ once/twice a year, especially for a local store! Before going in, my mom insisted that she wouldn't necessarily leave with a new pair of shoes, but I intentionally brought her here so that she could experience the foot scan and personalized services... so we each left with one pair! My husband has flat feet so finding running shoes that fit him well is quite a chore. Sometimes they seem to fit well when trying them on in the store only to find out that they do end up hurting his feet after a few runs. We decided to come here for his next pair of shoes because of all the rave yelp reviews. A young man helped us when we strolled in. We let him know our issues and he pulled out a few pairs for my husband to try. He even had him run a few laps outside while he recorded his movements to analyze his gait. The minute I walked in he took a look at what I was wearing and said "no no no those are too small". I stepped on the foot scanner and boom he was spot on the suggested size. He gave me two shoes to test by walking out on the sidewalk and it blew my mind - the difference in comfort and support was immediate. Base on the foot scan, he recommends a pair of shoes and takes a short video of me running. From the slow motion review of the video, he is able to tell my bio-mechanics and offer a few shoes that would best fit me. The store has amazing array of shoe in stock so even if a person has wide feet, they most like have your size in stock. Chris offers a few shoe to try and compare. Beginner runner here! I've been suffering from anterior Shin splints but the newbie in me kept pushing through it. I also have a history of left side sciatica and back pain. Long story short, after finally swallowing my pride, I consulted with friends who are much more experienced in running than I am who directed to check out this place. I worked with Chris, and we got right into checking out how I stood which helped guide him in recommending the appropriate footwear for me. He also took a short video of how I ran to show me specific mechanics which helped understand why he chose what he chose for me. I was surprised to find out I needed wide shoes, and that I run with my toes pointed outward! (I instantly imagined myself running like a penguin!!) After trying out some pretty great shoes, I finally found THE ONE. He just got it in and it was perfection. The bounce, the support, the overall feel was exactly what I should have gotten before I started running. If I did my usual online shopping and relying on reviews alone, I would have never picked the shoe that I ended up purchasing. Personalized service and attention to your feedback sets this running store miles ahead of its competitors. I've been in several times over the past 3 years and have always come away happy with the process. They now have a fancy foot scan machine that will size your feet, the width and arches too! They use that initial reading to put you in some shoes that match your readings. They then record your running stride from the back to look for any issues that may be going on to further the conversation about which shoe to choose. Ultimately, it's a conversation and a back and forth that leads to the right shoe for you. They also have a treadmill in store where you can test out shoes as well. I found this helpful on my last visit where I was trying out carbon plated shoes. I didn't feel bad trying on alpha flys or vapor flys because the treadmill is so much easier on them. I ended up with some saucony plated shoes and am ready for race day. Chris, the shop owner, has a wealth of experience and is a super nice guy. He runs a great business here. Besides shoes, you'll also find apparel, nutrition, and injury relief products. It's not a huge shop with all the offerings you'll find on typical online retailers, but the personal touch keeps you coming back. They also have running pods now, which are awesome and it's cool to see them partnering in stores now. If you are a South Bay runner and haven't been in here yet you have to come! He started by giving me a free scan of my foot with the cool tool they had in the front. I let him know that I've been having knee pain when running. He immediately brought out some shoes for me to try and even told me to go run outside so he could record me running to see if there was anything wrong with my form. Like, what other stores do that?! To preface, I typically run ~15 miles/week and have run 8 half marathons over the last 8 years. Not a very serious runner, but I enjoy it as exercise. Chris and his shop were recommended to me a few years into my running journey, and he was TREMENDOUSLY helpful in getting me into the right shoe for me - previously I went with whatever Dick's had...never realized how much of a difference the right shoe makes. I could order Chris' shoes online direct from the manufacturer, but he charges the same and provides a wealth of individual knowledge and tips that you can't get from a website, blog post, etc. Plus, he's a small business owner, which is worth supporting (and that's an understatement). I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to get some running shoes. It was pretty busy when I came in and I was able to get some help after a short wait. They have a machine that scans your feet. I normally wear a size 6 but to my surprise, learned that I should be wearing a 7 wide. They also record you running so you can see how you run. The workers seem very knowledgeable about shoes. I was told to try on a couple different shoes on different feet to see the difference between each shoe and which one I would prefer better. I am just a beginner runner and I thought it was time for me to invest in some good running shoes. I was greeted by a really nice guy I forgot to get his name. It was a one of a kind experience for me. He started off by having me take off my shoes and had me stand on this machine that did a 3d scan of my foot and he was able to get a overall look at my foots pressure map. Sooooo cool never seen technology before. He took a video of me running so that I can see how I run and to observe the movement he was really knowledgeable and shared why it's important to take a look at the movement of my running as that would help him determine if I needed a neutral shoe or a stability shoe to help reduce Pronation/ leg rotation. I didn't even know about this either. He then brought out 3 pair of shoes for me to try and allowed me to take a little jog infront of the store to try them out. I was able to narrow down my selection! The guy that helped me also gave me some info on some beginner running training for 5k that I could access online. I was really happy with my experience here. I came in today to return my running shoes. When I walked in, I had my box and receipt in my hand and waited at the counter for a couple minutes before being acknowledged by an employee who waved at me. I let them know I was there to make a return. I was still waiting at the counter (it had been maybe 4 minutes by then) until I saw someone walk over which I now know is Chris the owner. I thought he was walking over to assist me since I had been standing there for a few minutes. He doesn't acknowledge me, greet me or anything, I was the one to first say hi. Then he asks me what I'm in for and I let him know I would like to make a return. He looked at me with a straight face takes my shoes and looks at my receipt. Gives me back my receipt and box and tells me "I'll be right with you" in a stern tone and proceeds to help out another customer he had been assisting even though I had already been waiting. Finally once I'm next, Chris asks me again "how can I help you" and I let him know I would like to return my running shoes. He STARES at me for a few seconds with a straight face almost as if in disbelief and basically tells me he's going to need a little more info than that and asks for the reason for return which I just tell him "I changed my mind on them". He looks upset and asks for more detail and asks if there was anything wrong with them. I simply tell him there was nothing wrong with them I simply changed my mind on the shoes. He then begins LECTURING me saying I need to be more mindful and that I should be less wasteful with purchases because now he's going to have to dispose of the shoes and "give them to the homeless." he continues lecturing me and finally says in a very rude tone "I'm going to need to see your card". He then says they're trying to reduce the number of returns without "unspecified reasons". I was so confused the entire time on why I was being spoken in that manner and why I was lectured for wanting to return my shoes when they have a return policy. I've NEVER been lectured for wanting to make a return in my life and no one should be. If the owner really does have a problem with people making returns, then that's HIS problem as the owner. Don't blame the customer when YOU have a return policy of 30 days. If you don't want shoes to be returned because it's wasteful them make a no return policy or resell them as used shoes. He shouldn't put his problems as the business owner on the customer. If it wasn't for this horrible experience with the owner, I would've actually given a good review because the employees that helped me when I first went in to purchase the shoes were great. They were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and patient unlike the manager Chris. read more

Not anymore! Upon arriving, we were greeted and Ken helped us out. He listened to our needs, we got our feet scanned on the machine, and he videotaped us running outside to see how we run. Ken explained the difference between a stability vs. neutral shoe and answered all of our questions. I tried on three pairs, but I knew the Brooks pair was the clear winner. I have been getting into the habit of running 4-5x a week the past few months and bought a pair of Nike shoes online that had great reviews, but at the end of my runs my feet were definitely in some pain. The Running Revolution does feet and gait analysis. A machine analyzes your arch type, length, width, and where you put the most pressure. Apparently I put so much more weight on my right foot that it's wider than my left by half a centimeter... They then have you run down the sidewalk for your gait analysis, and it was clear from the video they took why my right foot tend to hurt more than my left after my runs. Super insightful information! I ended up with a pair of New Balance that are much more comfortable than my Nike's, and have not had as many issues since. The only knock is having to protect my right heel from blistering (which didn't happen with any of my previous running shoes). Otherwise, for a great pair of shoes, especially for running, I'd recommend coming to the Running Revolution! (just check to make sure you don't accidentally come during a downtown Campbell parade day like I did....) read more

Trainer sent me here for sneakers after my cross trainers started killing me during the HIIT workouts. They helped me immediately when I walked in, went thru the experience pretty fast which is perfect for me (my whole life should be in bullet points). Went in the machine, got 3 pairs of sneakers brought out. Videoed me running. Came back with even better fitting shoes and within 3 tries gave me the comfiest sneakers I've ever had on my feet. 10/10 would recommend. You pay more than you would at a Nike outlet, but they definitely are tailored for you so it's worth it read more
