Wow Stephanie took such good care of us and our Grandchildren. It is rare that all of us like our food so much that it all disappears. Stephanie explained everything and steered us to half sausage and half Thai! read more

Honestly I'm not impressed when we called the girl on the phone got are name wrong and when we had to pick up our order with the wrong name... my niece picked it up she said the place was not busy.. why don't you deliver? Then we get the pizza the broccoli is burnt and the chicken was dry. Not recommended. read more

Ordered here for the first time. I guess the inside won't be open for another two weeks they said. I ordered here bc of the $10 pizza special they had going- which I thought was a great deal... Until I saw how small the pizza was! I ordered extra cheese yet there was barely any on it. I had to throw it in the oven bc it was cold when I got it home (even though I live just down the street from there). I WILL say that the staff was beyond amazingly outgoing and I wish more places had staff like them! I'd def try it again. Maybe I just came on an off night? They seem to have great reviews even though I, personally, wasn't too impressed with the pizza (staff gets 5 stars though!) read more

Pizza's and Calzone's are GREAT here. Either use the many pre-existing selection of ingredients or create your own. Chicken wings are okay, to saucy and tend to be tough to digest if they are not hot (But i tried these once, so I might try again in future to confirm). Price is very reasonable and service is pretty friendly. read more

I ordered the Zoey Bear and another pie, both were most excellent but the Zoey Bear is a new favorite! My husband is a meat lovers kind of guy, so whichever that one is, is def his fave. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending to friends. read more

The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices were very fair. The pizza was good. I appreciate how many pizza, sandwich and wing options they have, certainly something for everyone. Good place for kids. Good stop to break up a road trip. read more

The pizza was good (average). The staff was rude and the restaurant was not very presentable. This pizza place taught me never to pick the sponsored option. read more

My coworker told me about this place after I mentioned I was looking for a solid pizza place to frequent after my boyfriend moved to Groton. We usually order dominoes or pick up pizza in Mystic--no more! My pizza was what, $11 or $13 and easily 10x better than the overpriced pizza I get in Mystic. I explained a dietary restriction and they were super accommodating. Pizza came out super fast, it was delicious! Fresh tomatoes, fresh basil and garlic. Thin, crispy crust. Super flavorful--new all time favorite pizza place. Lots of seating inside, not too loud, waitress was really nice and super helpful. Only downside I can see is that you might have trouble finding parking if it's poppin', they share the parking lot w/ the Asian Market and a consignment store. If you're going out with friends, take one car! read more

They catered our wedding with their brick oven pizza truck and they were so fabulous. The pizza is always great. You will definitely eat more slices of this pizza in one sitting than any other pizza because it is so good and addicting. read more

This pizza is really really good!!! I had the princess pizza (manly right?) and it was so good!!! It had chicken and a peanut sauce on it that I loved. It's a little pricy for pizza though. Worth the splurge once and awhile though! I loved how they quickly jumped on the technology bandwagon and had the tablet for payments. I wish the social media was a bit stronger though. I like to check out Yelp reviews and see how active the company is on social media before checking out new places. I was disappointed to see the owner who ever controls the social media accounts posted personal opinions that may cause potential customers to stay away. Go take a look and scroll through their timeline. I wish businesses would use social media more! Especially small businesses! For example have a sign that says post a selfie using #RollingPizza or something to increase their presence and awareness. The establishment is cool though, I like the license plates on the wall, and the local artist paintings for sale. read more

Rolling Tomato has successfully turned us into regulars! My husband and I love coming here for lunch at least once a week. Service is always fantastic, and pizza is always perfect. We had called in advance to order our pizza as I needed to get to work on time. When we arrived, they politely explained that the ticket was read wrong, but that the correct pizza was already in the oven. They let us leave home with the "mistake"(still GREAT to us) pizza and we didn't wait more than five minutes for our correct one. Definitely give these guys a shot if you're looking for great pizza with quality service in Groton! read more

As a Long Island native, it's tricky to find great pizza in CT! Rolling Tomato hits a home run. Delicious brick oven pizza at the right price! I love the idea of their "tuscanis," which are basically paninis made from any of the pizzas on their menu! Go for the Rocky Mountain Girl - you won't be disappointed! read more

Ordered the other night, they really went downhill. The pizza was really super burnt and the toppings were not like how I remembered. I always order the same pizza too. Either they changed cooks or something with the way they make their pizzas have changed. For the price, I won't go back. read more

I'm not sure how this happened but our pizza was under baked and burned at the same time. This was disappointing since this is our usual go to pizza place in town. read more

This is one of the best kept pizza secrets in the area! I'm a New Yorker now but when I go home, I love stopping in here for a pie or grinder with my dad. Pizza is crispy, crunchy perfect and there are so many good variations and flavors to choose from! Bobby is just the best! We've had him at a summer family cookout too and it was such a hit! Can't recommend this place enough! Definitely ask about renting the truck for your next party! read more

Previously heard from the owner who made it right with us as customers. We recently tried this place again and it was a hit with my whole family, perhaps it was an off night the last time but this time round it was great. You can't beat exceptional service with a smile. Thank you! read more

I've been here many, many times, but newer to Yelp so haven't been able to review yet. Ordered the rosemary cheesy bread. Perfect bread and seasoning, and with ricotta and mozzarella. Almost a meal by itself even though an appetizer on the menu, great food for not a lot of money and filling. Would make a great appetizer for parties and entertaining and would pair well with wine or beer. Also had the Monster Mash baked potato pizza which was equally well prepared and cooked. Crispy bacon, sour cream, scalloped potatoes all done correctly and with some secret recipe seasonings going on, a perfect white pizza. This is easily one of the best pizza places between New Haven, Hartford and Providence. Keep up the great work, Rolling Tomato crew! read more

Very good pizza, can't say it was out of this world but if you're nearby give it a shot. The people working there very nice and customer oriented. Different than new you're style pizza. Crust was very crunchy and seemed to have been pre cooked. read more

Amazing pizza, excellent service, extremely good bang for your buck. If you're looking for some place to eat in or near Groton, do yourself a favor and stop here. This thin crusted, wood fired pizza was fresh and delicious. We got the Belle and Classic Cheese pizza but it was extremely difficult to decide with over 40 pizza options, all of which sounded incredible. Our kids ate the entire half a cheese pizza (even the crust!) And we finished the whole Belle pizza. We also had some amazing fried pickles. They were fresh with dill, extremely crispy but not flaky or soggy. Best fried pickles I've ever had. Because of the holiday they were under staffed but, had the owner (and cook/server for the day) not mentioned it we would never have been able to tell. The pizza was prepared and served in an extremely timely fashion and the owner was very pleasant and accommodating for us and our kids. read more

I love wood fired brick oven Pizza! The positive was the Jackson hole pizza was absolutely delicious, but the entire end of each slice was completely soggy. Very disappointing. I had to put paper towels under the pizza to sop up all the liquid that was coming off of the crust. I would give the pizza flavor four stars, But the soggy Crust 2 stars since the outer portion was crispy. Therefore a three star rating. read more

The rosemary bread was absolutely incredible!!!!! So creamy and flavorful. Also had the BBQ chicken pizza loved the Smokey bbq sauce. The waitress was very sweet and even offered my son a piece of plain rosemary bread to try. Recommend this place to my brother and sister in law and they raved about it too! read more

Very good pizza. I live in New York. Normally Pizza wouldnt be a go to in another state. I have been recently diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarium. The only foods that seem to stay down are pizza and bagels. 2 staples from New York. Was pleased to find The Rolling Tomato. This pizza is one to be back for. We're new to the area and craved some pizza. Saw this place had a lot of reviews and nice rating. So we checked it out, a lot of choices for pizza. And it was delicious and came out super quick. One of the three pizzas was over cooked. The other two were fine. Like a California Pizza Kitchen with the wood over that's not a perfect science. They name their pizzas after former dogs. Kind of an old building without nice furnishings. But nice people trying hard. It's worth a shot! read more

Decided to give this restaurant a shot after all of the great reviews. From the exterior, it didn't look like much but there is a cozy vibe once you walk in the doors, especially with the large brick oven. And it smelled delicious. We ordered the Tuscany CARL and JACKSON Hole pizzas in addition to the AutoFry Combo. The pickle fries in the AutoFry Combo were exceptional! As for the pies, the crunch was great! I loved how thin they were and not too greasy. The JACKSON Hole pizza was good but did not blow my mind. The flavor of the clams in the Tuscany CARL pizza was completely overwhelmed by the hot cherry peppers. I would definitely consider returning to try a couple of other items next time! Ohh and you get popcorn once you sit down, quite a nice surprise! read more
