Service was great at this place, staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We ordered classic cheese (because how else do you know if it's good without the control group!) and a Potato Pizza. The crust was crispy on the undercarriage but the crust had enough dough to create those air bubbles. The bacon on the potato pie was crispy and full of flavor! read more

Update to my original review. Seems to have gone downhill since the last time. Asked for light cheese and less cooked. Definitely not light cheese and crust was like cardboard. Over salted too. I have to say, I don't think there's any great pizza in Niantic. read more

I was in the mood for some New York style pizza and decided to give this small restaurant a try. I was not disappointed I ordered the Smokey pizza and it was delicious probably one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The sauce was fresh and so were all the ingredients. I also ordered the chowder and it was the best seafood chowder I've ever had. It was full of seafood and the broth wasn't too heavy it was amazing and worth every penny. I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant and looking forward to sampling other items on the menu! read more

I am definitely picky with my pizza And this restaurant has great pizza! It's Located right near the ocean too! Best pizza in Niantic, got a sausage, peppers, onion, and garlic pie ~ which was excellent, and a Vincitori pie which was Lao excellent, the chopped salad was amazing and the meatball app is awesome, definitely homemade and delicious. Got them to go, and it was ready when I got there served quickly. Definitely worth it. read more

Noah and staff were friendly and welcoming! Food was delicious! Definitely going back! A+++

The food was excellent here. The pizza and the garlic bread were highlights. The reason we gave this place 4 stars was because the service was one of the worst I've ever experienced at any restaurant. I hate to comment on service as a person who was a waitress for ten years, but it was unbelievably bad. I hovered between 3 and 4 stars from this review because of how bad the service was. I ended with four because the food was very good. read more

The best ! Hands down you wont be disappointed. Pizza is amazing , garlic bread so good.

LOVE! Only have gotten takeout but it's such cute and friendly environment (a little small but adorbs). Pizza is always amazing, have tried multiple flavor combos. Always on time for when it says it's going to be done! read more

Meatballs are amazing! The margarita pizza was to die for. Will definitely be back. The service was -ok. The dark haired young lady was STELLAR for service. The blonde not so much. Otherwise a great experience! read more

Came here on a Monday evening to enjoy a meal. There are two tables outside that we were able to eat at with our dog. They would not let us bring a chair from inside to sit which was slightly annoying but we made it work. Menu had lots of different pizzas and the opportunity to make your own. We enjoyed our food and had leftovers to take home. Ordered an app of meatballs and ricotta and it was just what we wanted! There was a little mixup with our pizza but the workers were very kind and handled it well. Would definitely come back if craving pizza! read more

This is a great pizza kitchen. Crust is wonderful no tombstone hard as a rock crusts here. Good salads as well I. Has cozy dining area. Mostly I did take out. read more

This is the pizza by which all others should be judged. It may not have been invented here, but this is where it was perfected.

Hands down the best pizza we've had, better than in Italy, better than the 3 big New Haven spots. Every element on its own is high quality and flavorful, put it together and it's perfect. The crust is salty and has the perfect char, meats seasoned, high quality cheese and sauce with the perfect level of garlic. The Circa 1985 is *chefs kiss*. We've enjoyed the seasonal arancini's a few times as well. Do yourself a favor and visit, sit at the bar, and watch the magic unfold. The service is fast, friendly and reliable. We hope this modest pizza shop lasts for generations. It's a gem. read more

This is probably my favorite pizza place in Connecticut. I always get the buffalo chicken pizza, it's phenomenal . The pizza here tastes fresh, and it isn't greasy. I could eat 5 slices and it won't mess up my stomach afterwards like other places. read more

This spot is most definitely one of my favorite places in the area for pizza. This is super tasty and well made pizza. It's not greasy, they use great ingredients, and always have great specials that feature seasonal ingredients. Circa 1987 is my favorite on the menu. Highly highly recommend. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! Great service. Great pizza. En route to catch the Cross Sound Ferry out of New London, we were craving pizza to enjoy on the crossing. As the passenger on the drive down, I opened Yelp!, searched for pizza near New London, and sorted by user ratings. The enticing pictures and positive reviews of Vincitori Apizza--first in the search results--quickly won me over. I 'added a stop' to our Google Maps route. Boy, did we pick the right place! My S.O. ordered a white pizza with extra prosciutto and arugula, and I ordered my usual pepperoni and roasted red peppers.  Our pizzas were fantastic! From the perfectly baked crust to the flavorful toppings, every bite was a taste of pizza heaven. These were undeniably some of the best, if not THE best, pizzas we've ever had. And even though the restaurant was totally slammed--it being Friday night--the staff was super friendly and helpful. We make the crossing to Long Island several times a year, and Vincitori Apizza will be built into our travel plans from now on. We even talked about making the trek here even if we're not making the crossing, even though it's nearly a two-hour drive from where we live.  Highly, highly recommended! read more

The pizza flavor (sausage with onions and red peppers) was terrific. Home-made sausage, and it makes a big difference. Noah, the owner, and Alex, the waitress, couldn't have been nicer. He is growing fast, and probably will need a second location. Dave Portnoy visited May 2024, and gave him a 7.6. Respectable score but it is probably a 7.8. They serve beer and wine as well. Will be back. read more

We love eating at this pizza place in Niantic! It's a cute little restaurant and it's enjoyable to sit down and grab some delicious pizza! We always enjoy their garlic focaccia bread and their pepperoni pizza. Their pizza is not oily and has a nice chewiness to it! I also enjoy their house red that they offer. We tried the circa 1985 that was a special the other day and enjoyed that pizza too! The tiramisu we had for dessert was delicious too! Baked goods are okay. Service is always good too! I don't think you can go wrong with any of their pizzas and a special dessert! read more

Ordered two pizzas tonight through Shoreline Menus for delivery, as we were excited to try it.... As soon as I opened them I could tell they weren't going to be good; they looked like Domino's pizza and tasted not much better than Domino's to be honest... Both were honestly horrible, extremely overpriced, really don't understand some of the great reviews this place gets, maybe they have inexperienced kids cooking in back, off night, not sure, but our experience was not a good one... read more

Finally found our go to pizzeria in our new town. Always order a margherita for the first time and it was fantastic. Perfectly charred and wider outside rim reminds us of our trip to Milan. Just learned they make their own fresh mozzarella and I see a margherita extra as a special made with creamy Buffalo mozzarella. Going to have to make a return visit. read more

I had no idea that Niantic had a spot for New Haven style apizza, but I visited the town for the first time this past weekend and was instantly drawn to this restaurant! Their seasonal Arancini special was delicious, and we were definitely happy with our pizza! It has just the right amount of char, plenty of cheese and sauce, and crispy pepperoni. I liked the flavor of the garlic oil that they put on there too. The crust itself was thin, but could've been a little crispier for the true New Haven style. Our waitress was friendly and the food came out quickly. Definitely happy with our meal here and would recommend them to anyone visiting town! I know we'll be keeping it in mind for future visits. read more

Excellent premium pizzas. Meatball appetizer is great. I get take out and go sit on the boardwalk.

I was staying at the red roof Inn with my dog so I didn't want to go out. I searched for just a plain cheese pizza and decided on this restaurant for delivery to the hotel. The app was not easy to use and could not find the hotel so I called them to order the pizza direct and they refused to take my order and said I had to go through the eatzy app because they otherwise could not take my order. I tried again a couple of times and finally got the app to locate the address I placed an order for a plain cheese pizza, and a Diet Coke. I checked the distance when I decided to order from this restaurant so that I was not going someplace far from the hotel. The food arrived when they said it was going to. The crust of the pizza was burnt black, otherwise it was a plain cheese pizza and a can of Diet Coke that cost me over $44. Other than the burnt crust, it was fine. It's a cheese pizza. Could I have gone to Domino's for a lot less money and a similar quality pizza maybe not burnt, yeah. read more

My name is Patrick Walsh. I've been in the food service for the better part of 50 years of my life, including a pizzeria restaurant. My grandson and I went this evening, September 2 to what would be an enjoyable meal focaccia bread my grandson had I had meatballs which was served at about 90°. I think by law 145 is the suggested temperature for hot food And with cold ricotta, I asked the young lady that was the manager to put it in a tin pan and heat it up for me she rejected my request and stated that "this is not the way that we do it here." Unfortunately the customer is always right, at least that's what I've been taught and my gripe was legit. I asked them to reheat it. They said that they would get me New I declined. I watched as an employee pocketed a tip, so I gave my waitress $5 personally for a $14 dollar meal so she would get it. If you have any rebuttal please feel free to contact me and we'll discuss it with the board of health, thank you for your time. read more
