It's light and fluffy with a slight crunch on the outside. Beautiful dough-bubbles on the inside. The place itself isn't anything special. No frills, just good pizza. It's BYOB which is awesome. This review is based off of take out pizza orders only. If you were looking to dine in, it's a very casual place, but that's about the only notes I can offer. What is great about Rolling Tomato is a variety of fun pizza flavors and a really nice wood fired crust. We've been pretty consistent with our order of a big stubby which is essentially a meat lovers pizza. There are some stand out sliced meatballs on it that are stellar. I can recommend adding on some of their wings that travel surprisingly well. Great place, perfect brick oven pizza. Not only is it tasty to the last bite, full of fresh ingredients, but the combinations are the bomb. There's so much variety, and they're all good. There's a nice mix of traditional (white pies, different Italian cheeses) and new style toppings. So I figured I'd give them a try. This location serves both takeout and dining in options. Interior is typical pizzeria decor, but everything was clean and tidy. I came at an off hour so there were only two other customers. Service was fast- it didn't take more than 10 minutes to get my pizza. The food was quite good- sliced sausage (as I say, always a big plus), and eggplant which was unfortunately breaded, but the breading was not heavy and didn't overwhelm the eggplant. I won the Teacher Appreciation contest from a local radio station and was given a $50 certificate for your restaurant. I decided Friday was a good day to use my certificate and was excited to stop by and grab dinner. This was my FIRST time, ever, at this restaurant. First, When I got there and showed the certificate to the cashier, she questioned where and why I had gotten it. Really? She was in disbelief of the amount, so she proceeded to (in front of me) question the amount with a gentleman that was there, who I assume is the manager/owner! Seriously? Then, I get my food, drive home and when I opened my pizzas, they were literally burnt?! Would you have sent out a pizza that looked like this if the customer had paid full price? I would say no, the customer would have sent it back!!! This is my take on it...I don't think I'll ever go back, so rather than gaining a customer, you lost one and I will make sure to share my experience with others. The pizza was only eight slices for a large (!!!!!) and it looked exactly like a small pizza anywhere else if I'm paying $22 for a pizza I would expect to get more than eight slices out of it, if you were having a party and you ordered this you would have to order double. When I paid my bill, I asked the woman behind the counter about the size of the pizza, because I thought they charge me wrong, she also agreed that the prices are pretty steep for such a small pizza. Finally had a wonderful pizza experience in Connecticut! Between the Impeccable service and the delicious pizza we will definitely be coming back. This place was sooo yummy! The service was good the waitress was nice and helpful. I didn't know it was BYOB so that's cool they do not sell any alcoholic drinks there. The gorgonzola chicken salad was huge and delicious! The wings were really good but seemed pink not sure but we didn't get sick from it or anything, the pickles were different not bad but wouldn't get them there again I prefer them cut into pieces. There doesn't look to be any way to order anything other than what is on the menu (ie if you just want cheese and sausage - there didn't seem to be a "create your own", but just their creations).
