So happy finally get to finish my ROLFING sessions after all these years of thinking about it. I was born with naturally bad knees--structurally different from normal people's knees. It wasn't until about 10 years ago that I started noticing and got worse over the years. A year ago, I somehow twisted my knee in a way that they would hurt more than half the time--alternating between right or left. Adding to that I have scoliosis, so my back is not that great either, and would get back pains. I have gone to chiro many years and my back got much better, but they weren't able to fix my knees. After many months, finally decided to give ROLFING a try. By the first session, when Manny was working on my hips/knees area, there was a large pop sound--Manny popped my hips/knees back in place--yay! I felt a difference from the first session and was so happy. After session, my body will feel more relieved. Throughout the sessions, Manny was always very experienced talented in treating me. He can see where your stance/problem areas are and tries to fix them. He is also great at teaching me different after class exercises that I can do at the gym to strengthen/work on my problem area, which I am extremely thankful of. Whenever I raise questions or sharing certain problems I have, Manny always take the time to examine and make them better, and provide appropriate exercises for them. Every session, Manny will take before and after pictures, so you can see the progress. From my before and after pictures, the biggest change are from my side profile. I used to lean more and now I am much more balanced, which is great, because that will take less pressure of my knees. My knees got 65% better than before ROLFING, but it's still not 100% but that just because my knees are born structurally different/crooked on the inside whereas normal people are straight. Whenever my knees hurt now, I will just do a few exercises that Manny taught me and my chiro taught me, then my knees usually won't hurt anymore. Before ROLFING, if I do the exercise that chiro taught me, it only works half the time. After ROLFING, the combo of ROLFING and chiro exercises work almost 90% of time. Quite amazing! The weirdest part of ROLFING is when of the session helps relax the tissues around your face. LOL. I was really quite surprised! But I guess the good thing is if you have a problem area on your face, i guess this will help relax/fix it. read more

I was recommended to The Rolf Workshop by my acupuncturist who I have been seeing for some years. I honestly didn't have a clue what modality this was, but I must say that it was an eye opener. I'm probably more in tuned with my body than an average person. I workout regularly and enjoy outdoor activities. I've also done many different workout formats from yoga to hardcore weight lifting. Due to a car accident a few months ago, my neck and hip have been experiencing lingering pain. I am currently going to PT to try and resolve my neck issue. The therapist has educated me in regards to where the problem stems from and different techniques/exercises that I can partake in to help alleviate the issue. I've been going for the last 6 weeks, but at the end of the day, the pain still exists. I began to do my own research and came upon rolfing. I was intrigued and thought I would schedule an appointment to see if this was a possible solution for me. Manny and I had a 30-minute consultation over the phone. He was interested in knowing the problem areas, how they had come to be and what I had done to seek a resolution. He then explained to me the art of his practice in a very concise and open way. My sense of Manny is that he genuinely cares about making a difference and he has over 20 years of experience in structural integration. I had my first session yesterday. Manny's personality is very warm and personable. He explained everything as he went along and I felt comfortable the entire 2plus hours:) The actual rolfing, for someone like me whose body is tight...well...it was painful at times. And yet, I smiled through most of the process...because something WAS happening/changing and I could feel it. He then gave me two exercises to do on my own and to see how they made a difference in my running. I can't say thank you enough after ONLY ONE session. Manny was meant to do this work. His personality is golden and his knowledge about this practice will leave your body feeling rejuvenated and hopeful. I will carry on and finish the 10 sessions. I can't recommend Manny high enough. I finished my 10 series and I am so very glad that I did it. I am so much more aware of how I move my body and how to improve my movement. Manny has a very calming manner to him and passes no judgement on where you are with your body. He truly wants to help you achieve maximum benefit. However, some of the muscle work hurts in that the muscle is very tight and needs to be worked to release the tension. I just completed a 10-week series (1x/week) with Manny, and have moved on to my once-a-month maintenance series, and as I've completed the entire "rolfing" therapy process, I wanted to share my experience first-hand, starting with complete ignorance to complete enlightenment. I was doubtful. I had never heard of Rolfing prior to seeing Manny. "Rolfing?" I thought...when I first heard the term from my girlfriend, who had been interested in Rolfing for years. It sounded like some hokey gimmicky type of massage therapy. She quickly corrected me and explained it might be the answer to all of the chronic pain I've been having in my back for so long. She had purchased a session after wanting to try it for years, and came home to me one night raving about the treatment, and explained how the process works. For the past two years, I had lived with a pain my upper back. I had no idea where this pain came from, or how it got there in the first place, but I knew it would flare-up at certain times and also was beginning to affect my quality of life (and those around me). I had gone to chiropractors, orthopedists, and many other doctors who couldn't diagnose the cause or fix it. I was desperate, so after learning about rolfing, I thought that it couldn't hurt to give it a try. I was in so much pain constantly, at that point I was game for anything. It's not as if you simply go for one session and you're "fixed" and free of pain. Rolfing is an entire process - consisting of 10 sessions. It's a commitment you make for your health. Probably the best commitment I've ever made. And you see results. The process works. I'm shocked there is not a main-stream following, because it really is a "little known secret" that's, in my mind, a "miracle". After my last session, Manny showed me the "before and after" photos, of my posture, and the results were astounding. My jaw dropped. I was at least an inch or two taller in the second photo, I looked leaner, and more balanced. My entire body was aligned. And best of all, my pain was completely gone. I now go in for sessions about once a month, which are maintenance sessions. I've come to "crave" these sessions, and they far-outweigh any chiropractic or massage therapy treatment I've had in the past. I've had many different types of massage through the years, but this was my first time trying rolfing, and I'm so happy I did! After my first session with Manny, I got so much relief in my body that I haven't experienced with other types of massage. I'm an esthetician and do a lot of facials and brow waxing, so my body and neck are always hunched a little bit forward. Over time, I've created a lot of tension in my shoulders, neck and lower back. I am writing this review for those who are suffering from back injury and lost hope in their lives. I had been suffering from back pain for almost 5 years . And I tried anything that you could imagine on this planet . I tried with Chiropractor and then moved to physical therapist then 3 painful epidural injection ( waste of money and time ), aqua theraphy , Acupunture and finally back surgery! I've been fighting a life-long battle with a steadily worsening scoliosis condition that often left me in pain, stiff with limited mobility and often nauseous, Since the age of 15 I've been seeing chiropractors with varying success. I had an active lifestyle - pilates, yoga, power walking, 12Ks, boxing, etc.- but as my condition worsened i found it more and more difficult to continue. I got to the point where, at times, it was even difficult to look over my right shoulder while driving. That is where the 10 Series comes in. I have had a chronic knee pain for about 6 years. Seen a number of orthos and received x-rays and MRIs, but structurally nothing appeared to be wrong. They suggested it was soft tissue related and that there wasn't anything they could do but send me to PT which I've done a number of times to no success. For 2018, I've been working on healing my body so finally decided to look around for someone to help. I looked up structural integrator and found Manny along a few others here in the OC. After years of injuries I knew that somewhere in my body there was imbalance. I found Mr. Aragon to have a deep understanding for body mechanics. I started with the ten session package which is a must to undue years of dysfunction creating havoc of all sorts. I then continued with maintenance sessions. Manny's Rolfing sessions taught me alot on how to pay attention to the signals my body was telling me, the tools of exercise and nutrition to keep my body in its optimal state. I really could benefit from ongoing sessions but the 10 session package and a significant series of maintenance has provided me the ability to keep my body functioning. I now only need to seek his treatment when in crisis/injury. The nutritional testing also peeked my interest and as I explored it found it a necessary tool. How cool that my body needs certain vitamins and minerals unique to me and even then, some sometimes and some all the time. The only downside to nutritional testing and the quality supplements requires to be effective is the cost. But the price is a fair one; just not cheap. But who wants cheap when dealing with your body's health! read more

I went to Manny as a last resort for chronic shoulder and hip pain I have been suffering with for the last 3 years.
