My 72 year old mother just moved to Bend. She is so fit and healthy and needed to find a chiropractor to facilate her care. She checked out other practicioners but was disappointed. I encouraged my mom, Karolyn Sichel to set up an appointment. After her exam with Dr. Walker, she called me to share the wonderful news. She was so grateful for the thorough exam, spinal manipulation and suggested excercises from Dr. Welker. She loved the traction machine and even wanted to stay all day! I was in excruciating pain in my back and could not stand up straight or barely walk. Dr. Welkers office, starting with Vanessa at the front desk and ending with Chastity his assist and the Dr. himself I was welcomed, worked on, told why I hurt, helped with several different ways, tens unit, heat, adjustment, massage and more. I have had Dr. Welker (and staff--they are the best!!) work on knee problems, back issues and even my feet, I always feel better when I leave than when I walked in and that is how you know you are being treated right. I am writing this review so that anyone interested in a fantastic massage and/or a great adjustment will know where to go. I have been going for 3 months and I really cant get enough. The entire staff is so welcoming you immediately feel like you are among friends. Dr. Welker has this calming presence that makes you feel relaxed and confident in his ability to make you feel better. Getting my back adjusted has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I went into Bend Spinal Care for my first chiropractic session ever. I was a little apprehensive about the process of being aligned, but I was comfortable during the treatment and will continue coming back for adjustments. Super awesome! Really friendly staff. Finally a Dr. That takes time to explain things to you so that you can actually understand what is happening to your body. I was in a pretty serious car accident a few years ago and have been in pain ever since. After a few surgeries nothing seemed to be healing I decided to see a new chiropractor. Dr. Welker is the best chiropractor and I will not go to anyone else. I've been his patient for 9 years now. He uses different methods to alleviate the pain and is fully competent. Bend Spinal Care was really great about setting up my appointment right away. Dr. Welker cleared up my neck pain in one visit. He suggested I have massage therapy and arranged for me to see their therapist, Carl, the same day. Carl gave an excellent sports therapy massage that lessened a lot of the muscle and tendon soreness I had from biking. read more
