UPDATE 7/30/25: I've seen several therapists at Halcyon Bodyworks and ALL of them have been amazing. I recently saw Crystal for a SARGA massage and it was soooo good! As someone who's received rolfing for close to 30 years, this form of myofascial release massage was a wonderful blend of rolfing and massage. I could feel my fascia release several times throughout the massage and I'm excited to regularly incorporate this type of therapy into my massage treatments! I also saw Isata recently for a craniosacral massage and it was also amazing! It was so good that while I was on the table I thought to myself I must have paid for a 90 minute massage because it felt like I had been there for that long, but it was only 60 minutes! Lol. I've been struggling with neck and head tension that's affecting cranial nerves and this massage definitely helped. Headed back this weekend for a follow up! 2023: I went to see Sam when I was having serious shoulder and neck tightness that was causing tension headaches. She was great! She used the perfect amount of pressure and deep tissue therapy while also not making it too painful. A skill that is sometimes hard to come by. She is one of the better massage therapists I've seen in my 25 years of getting regular massage. I was stunned to learn she's only been doing massage for a couple years. Incredibly impressed with Susan at Halcyon Bodyworks. I received a gift certificate for the holidays and when I called to make an appointment, Susan was the person I booked with. It was totally without intent that I booked with Susan, but so very pleased that I did. Her work is quite frankly exceptional. I went with a specific issue, gave Susan my history, information from my doctor and she got to work. I was so impressed with my initial visit that I booked another appointment for two weeks later. Since then, I have been going every other week, my doctor has seen a noticeable difference in my condition. Thrilled that Susan listened and had the expertise to help. Clearly her education and experience go beyond what one might consider in a traditional masseuse. It's interesting as the patient, to tell her what's going on, see how she approaches the situation and works the problem. She totally gets how everything is totally interrelated. Do not go here! I was under the impression that this place would take insurance, but they will lie and charge you full price. I had an emergency last minute and could not keep my appointment, I tried calling but no one ever picked up, the voicemail said to text for cancellations and I did 1 hour before my appt. Crystal calls and says she will charge me $125 for not keeping my appointment. She asked where I was from? Then proceeded a to argue and does not even offer another appointment. She is a crook! Based on what I read, I tried to book with Crystal, but she was full and referred me to Jennifer. I am so glad Crystal was booked! Jennifer was the perfect massage therapist for me. We're also visitors here in bend, but lucked into getting a recommendation for Cambry. I'll agree with that and simply cannot recommend her enough. She did some cupping and light trigger work on my back (yes it's weird; yes you'll have hickies; do it anyway, it's amazing). This was the best cupping session I've had. Period. She used mainly silicone cups (it was my first time with those), so _unfortunately_ you'll miss the pyro effect of the traditional fire cupping... but I actually think I liked these better. Bunus: no risk of being burned! She's an amazing therapist, and managed to really dial-in just the right amount of "therapy" vs. "relaxation". Can't sing enough praises. read more

Pam is the muscle whisperer! This was my first appt at Halcyon. I travel to Bend regularly from LA and was able to book a 90 minute massage with Pam. I've had lifelong chronic headaches from neck and upper back tension and was dealing with some post-plane muscle spasms. Pam was able to adjust all my joints and muscles back into alignment - I've seriously never had a more effective massage - and I get them A LOT. She used multiple techniques- silicone cups, hot stones... but it is her deep knowledge and compassion for your body that enables her to move all your parts back into their proper positions. We love visiting Bend in the winter thanks to the magical light dry snow on Mt. Bachelor, great eats and brew around Bend. This trip I have to add massage as part of the list on why we visit this great town! Upon arrival one of the first things I searched for was a massage specifically a therapist who knows trigger point technique. Halcyon is so highly rated on Yelp which is one of the reasons I chose to book a custom massage service with them. My experience: - Reservations was super easy. I sent an email and in 5 minutes I had someone call me back to offer some dates and times. They were super flexible and accommodating. - The massage offices smell so good, calming and relaxing. It was clean, professional and in an easily accessible area of Bend. - Cambry is awesome! I fell asleep 10 mins into our 60 minute session. She recommended blending cupping with the trigger point technique and a deep yet relaxing massage. It was perfect! I felt like a new person after the session. An excellent way to start the New Year! I received a massage from Crystal at Halcyon Bodyworks while in Bend celebrating my anniversary. She was super accommodating and arranged her schedule to be able to massage my partner and I right after one another. Her flexibility allowed us to have a really beautiful and relaxing day of self care! Crystal made me feel very comfortable. She took the time to ask me questions about my body and based her massage treatments on my preferences and needs. I've had a lot of massages by body workers who stick to a script and give everyone the same general rub down, this is NOT what you get from Crystal. You'll get an individual healing session custom tailored to YOUR needs! The massage table at Halcyon Bodyworks was wide, sturdy and comfortable. Being a larger person I am often worried about climbing up on a flimsy massage table. I wasn't worried at all! The table was wide enough for me to have my arms at my sides while I laid face down, Crystal also had various pillows and attachments to raise the face cradle and support my well endowed chest so that I was supported without feeling like I was smashing my chest on the table. That kind of forethought isn't common and is part of what makes Halcyon a truly amazing place to get body work done. Crystal was comfortable working on my larger body which made me more comfortable and able to relax. She encouraged me to let her know if the pressure was too much or if I needed more and because of the thoughtfulness she demonstrated in the entire interaction I was able to speak up and let her know exactly what I liked and what I wanted done differently, it was very empowering! From the armless chairs in the waiting room to the wide table, flexible scheduling, authentic and caring interactions to the genuine smile on Crystals face when she greeted us and said good bye I could not recommend Halcyon Bodyworks or Crystal more. I called Crystal and we set up an appointment for a later that evening. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be an incredible experience. She has created a very relaxing, clean and comfortable environment for her clients.
