I was referred to Pangea by my old chiropractor who retired during covid. He is also a patient there. I'm in year 3 of going there and they have made a tremendous difference in my life. I had near-debilitating pain in my left leg due to IT band syndrome. It is cured and I give Pangea the credit. Looking at some of the negative comments here I can't believe these patients went to the same chiropractor. While it may seem culty or codependent, I think that perception is due to the in-and-out practices of ordinary chiropractors. Pangea really is delivering a deeper, more comprehensive level of care. I'm a clinical therapist and hypnotherapist who strongly believes in humbly following protocols by other professionals. However, I saw so much negative hypnosis and disempowering programming all over the place. When I first showed up, they "welcomed me to the family," which felt like a cult. I'll do my best to provide both the pros and cons. Pros: 1. I saw improvement in my post-concussion symptoms which was great. 2. I felt safe overall when being treated by Dr. Tyge. 3. If someone feels uncomfortable being treated in a closed door office, this is the place for you because most of the work is done in a large room with multiple patients treated at the same time. 4. There were clear signs of improvement in my clarity and neck pain. 5. I was already taking most of the herbs and vitamins they suggested, which was cool. Same page. 6. Their waiting room is calming. Cons: 1. When they had me step onto a scale, they purposefully request I face a wall which has a disturbing chart that literally says all patients must see them consistently for three years to just begin their wellness journey to healing. This was sickening. I'm a healthy woman in my 30's and I just need some extra support sometimes. They say every patient needs that no matter what their health status is. This is disturbing and negative hypnosis. I'm a hypnotherapist to help empower clients. Not disempower them. 2. There was a "mandatory new patient's 'wellness' class" I had to attend. There was a slide show and Dr. Brent really did act like he was on a game show where it was all an act. It didn't feel genuine at all. He actually said epigenetics aren't that important so we aren't powerful enough to heal ourselves without a chiropractor since "nerves run the show," and chiropractors work with the nerves. I was so shocked at how disempowering and fear-based his entire class was. 3. They "bread crumb" for each session to keep patients coming back. I asked for suggestions on home exercises and they said they will provide me with self-home exercises "later on." They seemed to just want me just dependent on their treatments for a month and a half (other than suggestion of herbs and vitamins which is of course important for many). 4. When I was treated by Dr. Bri, it was usually a positive experience until my last time seeing her. I have seen many chiropractors as I've moved cross country over the years, so I know what is reasonable to request when getting adjusted. I simply asked her to please adjust my ankles because they were in pain and inflamed. She actually just ignored my request so I repeated myself and she dodged my question and I asked if she is just not going to do it. She fake smiled and told me to just work on my lifestyle and sitting differently to improve my pain. So she knew she could help me and elected to not do it. Her colleague, Dr. Tyge, was happy to adjust my ankles two days later in my next appointment. So I know my request was reasonable. She just decided to let me be in pain. Again, bread crumbing so I can return for more work. That's just unethical. 5. Dr. Bri then stressed on how my X-rays show a slight curve in my neck (easily healable) and she said it took many years to get it to that point so it'll take many years to correct with consistent adjustments. Yes, healing can take time for some, but I do so much healing work in between sessions, that my body always responds quickly to whatever treatments I receive (acupuncture, kinesiology, etc). Everyone heals at a different rate but she just states based on an X-ray, I'll be clumped into the group where it requires years of paying them to "fix" me. 6. I emailed their team and said I would rather chat in person to share my grievances rather than just post on here. They elected to not resolve. They swept it under the rug and when I showed up for my next appointment, their entire team acted so weird towards me. It was clear they saw my email of concern. When I asked Dr. Tyge what he thought about the email, he said it's normal for patients to say that stuff and he moved on. 7. The women who received my email claimed they didn't share my concerns with anybody even though I requested to chat with the doctors in person to just kindly clear the air. They swept my issues under the rug and claimed it was to "help me not feel embarrassed." So I got the message that my email was embarrassing when I shared my concerns in a respectful manner. It wasn't true, because one of the other doctors DID admit to knowing about my email. So someone is lying. As a business owner myself, I'm surprised that I still haven't heard from the owner. Their brainwashing and negative hypnosis is disturbing. If you're sensitive to energy, you'll feel it right away. We are all powerful and have awesome influence on our bodies epigenetically speaking. Don't ever listen to them say you can't heal quicker than three years minimum. read more

If you have ever sat through a "time share" seminar or tried to buy a used car from a cheesy, shady car salesperson, then you'd know what it feels like as soon as you walk in this place. Everyone is friendly as soon as you walk in. So friendly in fact that it's schmoozy. You can tell that everyone has a rehearsed part in what seems like an indoctrination into a cult. They even use terms like " welcome to the family ". It's just creepy and you can feel the predatory energy right away. The VA sent me here and approved 12 visits. The first two visits were just silly tours of coffee bars, cookie station, child's play area and being worked over with questionnaires consent forms. They took X-rays at one point which were used on the third visit to paint the worst imaginable scenario of my condition. Its was constantly obvious that I was being set up / brainwashed to believe it was miracle I was still able to walk and that committing to Pangea was my only hope of not becoming a permanent cripple. In three separate attempts they tried to get me to sign a form getting me to commit to 36 visits with the idea that a minimum of three years would be required for any progress. The form was never presented as what it was. It was always just kinda slipped in there as the nonchalantly told me to "sign this right here, it's not a contract ". I was at one point presented with what they called a " care plan" which was basically 36 visits at a cost of a 2800.00 out of pocket beyond what was being paid for by the VA. Keep in mind, I'm on my third of 12 approved visits, have not received any sort of treatment yet and they have made three attempts to get me to commit to 36 visits, have asked for financial information although this entire thing is being funded by the VA as I am a disabled veteran. After the 4th visit and refusing the third time to sign anything, I finally asked if they planned to do any actual treatment since 4 of my 12 approved visits were already wasted. At that point, I was placed on a table and "adjusted" although it was nothing more than pushing on my spine for about 90 seconds and told I was done. The whole experience was just a ridiculous, charade complete with a team of rehearsed actors and well practiced brain washing techniques that felt shady, disingenuous and predatory. I called the VA , talked to my doctor and she agreed and advised me not to go back which I was very happy about. My advice would be to be very careful going here. Read everything you sign and don't fall for their schmoozing, or rehearsed overly concerning act. Keep a healthy skepticism and proceed with caution. read more

Don't go there. It's like going to buy a used car at a sleazy used car sales lot. I went once for neck pain, left after manipulation and felt no improvement on neck and now my lower back hurts. I was told that was normal for up to 1 week. 2,3,4 weeks went by. I had never in my whole 58 years of having lower back until that day. 4 months later I'm still having SI joint pain. It's a unicorn hunt to find a doctor you can trust to tell the truth without any coercion- Pangea docs will. I no longer have migraines, and my neck pain doesn't keep me up all night anymore. My son started having seizures as a four-month-old and the best neurologists in the state couldn't figure it out. Pangea docs did, and he is seizure free. My experience with Pangea began with a friendly person scheduling my appointment over the phone. I was then called by the chiropractor I would be seeing at my first visit. It was a pleasant conversation which ended with my asking about their COVID-19 practices. I was assured they were following the recommended guidelines. I was very surprised (euphemism) when I showed up and NONE of the staff (including those giving direct care to patients) were wearing masks!!! I told the receptionist I would not be staying because of this, and she asked if I would speak with the doctor. I said okay, and in a few minutes the CEO and clinical director, Andrew Torchio, came over and asked me if I would have a conversation. I asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask and he avoided the question with rhetoric about his job being to keep the staff and patients safe. I then asked him if he really thought the plastic shield he was wearing blocked the transmission of COVID-19. He then avoided the question by saying he "felt comfortable with it." I told him I am also a health care professional who deals with COVID-19 (patients and hospital outcomes) and that I know there is no evidence that plastic shields provide protection or prevent the transmission of COVID-19. He replied by saying he valued my opinion. Then he said he valued ME. At that point I knew I had been speaking with the CEO and not the Clinical Director. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The people here are nice enough, but unfortunately they're just out for your money. Went in for what I thought was an initial adjustment to get adjusted a few times before having a baby, but that turned into a very in-depth first visit that turned into their "care plan" that would have cost me almost $1700... for 9 weeks of care. And while they state their fee for just adjustments, somehow the care plan cost way more than that and had to include physical therapy and other things when all I simply wanted was a few adjustments. The ultimate kicker is that I was also told the fee for that first visit also covered the followup appointment and nope, got a bill for that, too. So if you have the income or your insurance would cover that much chiropractic, you'd probably be happy here. Otherwise, this clinic is unfortunately more interested in trying to take advantage of patients by using fancy "technology" to convince them they need an insane level of care that isn't that necessary and will cost them a ridiculous amount of money. read more

let me start off with saying i thought everyone at pangea were very friendly and that gave me high hopes. i found that the set up at pangea was not for me, as they have three beds in the same big room that includes the front desk, so to say the least with the children of people being seen and people walking in, it is far beyond relaxing and since one of my many health opportunities is stress that i hold in my shoulders (like most of us) i could tell it was not going to help and it didn't. that being said i still had hope for some help and again being that they seem so nice i continued through a package i signed up for for 8 visits in which one i had to cancel and never rescheduled. well getting to the ONE star rating bit, when i went to physical therapy for the first time in the year they told me 7 of my visits had been used. i called my insurance as i had not been to the pt before. they told me that pangea had sent in codes for pt. what!!! no they are chiropractors and i had no pt. so now i have to call pangea for them to correct it. they told me that because i sat in a chair waiting my turn to see the doctor (for five minutes mind you) and i raised my arms above my head and did some stretches that's what they billed as pt. keep in mind they never told me they where going to do this (or of course i would have opted to NOT sit in the chair for 3 mins and instead went to pt being seen for 60 minutes, duh!!!) I was told this had never happened before. i asked what that they had never done this before ? they said no that someone had run out of pt. my response was, i have not run out of pt, but i would like to before the end of the year see a physical therapist whom SPENDS 55 MORE MINUTES with me. pt is something i desperately need as i am surviving breast cancer with 5 surgeries and a ton of scar tissue. just soooooo not cool, brings tears to my eyes. my advice is to opt out of self instructed pt for 3 mins and instead go to a real pt place and get your monies worth. p.s. they charged for 7 and i only sat in the chair 5, so it seems they are also assuming. i thought about filing a complaint with my insurance, but honestly this was supposed to be a beneficial journey not add to my stress! hopeful they will start being honest with their clients from the start. read more

Its a scam! The bait you in with their bells and whistles just like a sleazy car salesman. I was originally super excited to get some pain relief and asked on the very first phone call how much it was going to be and Dr. Bree told me not to worry that they would bill insurance AND that she had options within her office that could help cover expenses. After the first appointment I asked how much this was all going to cost, the insurance specialist said I was covered through my insurance for 12 copay visits. They made me sit through a 2nd appointment to tell me that after insurance it was going to be $2800 for the full care (more than 12 visits)?! I said I wasn't paying $2800 when I have insurance and that they should share total costs with people upfront. Its also very skeptical that they ask for Google review after 1st intake appointment while the bells and whistles are still fresh as opposed to once the client had finished their visits and can actually attest to the actual work.
